The name is [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_m]Roth[/name_m]. I’m worried it sounds too blunt sounding. The middle names I have with it are [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], & [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f], but it’s not like someone goes around saying their full name. Anyway, what do you think of [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_m]Roth[/name_m]?
I like it! It does sound blunt, but in a good way. One syllable names can sound harsh together, but I think the soft ending of [name_m]Roth[/name_m] helps smooth the overall sound of the name.
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_m]Roth[/name_m] sounds strong. She’s the kind of lady people would take seriously. If you are wanting a wimpy character, you may want to choose a different name. Otherwise, [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_m]Roth[/name_m] is great!
As for your middles, I would definitely go for [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f].
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] [name_m]Roth[/name_m] – flows nicely, plus I tend to love -ea endings on names.
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_m]Roth[/name_m] - Not bad but maybe too many syllables.
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_m]Roth[/name_m] - I am not a fan because the “-ere” blends with the “[name_f]Ro[/name_f]”, resulting in “[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] Guiniveroth”.
It just depends on what her personality and function in the story is. For a strong heroine or villain it sounds great! To me it sounds a bit goth or dark. Regardless I like it!
