Opinions on Daphne please!

Hey everybody, I’m really feeling the name [name]Daphne[/name] right now and when I’m in love with a name it’s hard for me to be judicial, so I was wondering what others thought of the name and how you think it would fit on a baby girl, thanks!

I love [name]Daphne[/name]! It was on my own list a while ago, has since fallen off, but I still love it. I had seriously considered [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] as a combo a while ago, too. It seems so fun and charming, a bit mischievous. I would love to meet a [name]Daphne[/name].

I think it’s a lovely name, one I enjoy saying aloud. Some names only look good but don’t sound it,if you know what I mean? [name]Daphne[/name] ticks both boxes, aesthetics and sound.

It’s actually the one girls name that Dh and I agree on for the baby currently baking. So of course I love it. I tend to shy away from girls names ending in a “ee” sound but I love the classic yet unusualness of this name.

I love [name]Daphne[/name] too! Kind of funky and ethereal, but at the same time, it has a bit of an earthy feel. I could easily see on someone of any age.

I love [name]Daphne[/name], I love it for the mythological story I learned in my freshman year of high school that goes with it on the origins of the [name]Laurel[/name] tree, and to me it sounds melodic a lot like [name]Aria[/name]. [name]Daphne[/name] was the first love of [name]Apollo[/name], son of [name]Zeus[/name], Greek god of music, light, and prophecy. There is a Bernini sculpture about the myth, and if you aren’t familiar with it, I put both links below. But regardless, [name]Daphne[/name] is a beautiful name I love and am even concerning myself.

My feeling exactly. I go back and forth with [name]Daphne[/name], but this is exactly the image I have of the name

[name]Daphne[/name] is one of the very usable Greek mythology names that I love. It’s classic, sweet and spunky all at the same time, similar in feel to [name]Phoebe[/name] I think.

[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Lorelei[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Adeline[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Althea[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Helena[/name]

I really like [name]Daphne[/name]. It’s spunky and fresh, with great history. For a while [name]Daphne[/name] was in my top five, but now it doesn’t really go with the rest of my names. Either way I like it. I think my combo was [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Augusta[/name].

I totally agree that it’s fun & mischievous! In my mind it’s grouped together with [name]Phoebe[/name]

[name]Daphne[/name] is not my style, so I am not much help.

[name]Daphne[/name] is my husband’s favorite girl name, and I LIKE it, but it’s not in my list of favorites. However, if God blesses us with multiple daughters, I will likely have a little [name]Daphne[/name] someday. I agree with the previous poster who groups it together with [name]Pheobe[/name]. My husband also likes [name]Diana[/name], and said, “[name]Daphne[/name] and [name]Diana[/name], my two little Greek princesses!” It was pretty cute how he said it, so I would like to give him a Greek princess someday. When I hear [name]Daphne[/name], I picture petite, and lots of pink–all different shades of pink–and I picture a little toddler with her hair pulled up like a little water-fountain sprout. No idea where that image came from, as I have never met a [name]Daphne[/name] in real life.

[name]Love[/name] it, love it, love it!
I would have used it if my friend hadn’t gotten to it first
Great name in every way!
