Okay, I am nowhere near having a baby, but I adore the name [name_f]Faline[/name_f] and HAVE to use it for my daughter when I do have one. I pronounce it (fa-leen) and am completely in love with it!!! I am aware it is the name of [name_f]Bambi[/name_f]’s girlfriend/wife in the Disney movie and that’s how I actually found it. I love it, period. But I want to know if you guys have any hang ups or if I should rethink using it. If you have any middles, I’d love to hear them as well. Thank you!!
I think [name_f]Faline[/name_f] is really pretty & feminine! It’s unique but also very soft sounding to me. [name_f]Lina[/name_f] would be a cute nickname too. [name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was also of [name_f]Bambi[/name_f], but I grew up watching those movies. I doubt that it would be something most people would associate it with!
I think it would be cute paired with a stronger middle name like:
[name_f]Faline[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_f]Faline[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Faline[/name_f] [name_u]Addison[/name_u]
I think its lovely! Unusual but not too out there if that makes sense :)) The only issue is that people might mispronounce it as an alternative to [name_u]Fallon[/name_u] or rhyming with [name_f]Feline[/name_f]. Pretty though xx
I’m not familiar with [name_f]Bambi[/name_f] tbh so I was pronouncing this completely wrong until I googled it. Honestly, I’m not really a fan. It has a weird and awkward sound when I say it, and it doesn’t really sound like a name. I find it quite harsh as well.
Yes, I wasn’t sure how to pronounce it until I read your post (it’s been a looong time since I’ve seen [name_f]Bambi[/name_f], haha). So that could be a minor issue; otherwise, I think it’s pretty! Sweet and soft.

[name_f]Faline[/name_f] [name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_f]Faline[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Faline[/name_f] [name_f]Odette[/name_f]
[name_f]Faline[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
Honestly, I think it has a very gentle, sweet vibe, and I like it. It would be an unexpected choice, but not a bad one by any means! Besides the [name_f]Bambi[/name_f] association, which you’ve already said you don’t mind, I can’t think of any reason not to use it.
I misread it as [name_f]Feline[/name_f].
It’s not a bad name. I personally think it would be a better middle name, because it could compliment a lot of first names.

I think it’s very pretty and unique, but I also misread it as [name_f]Feline[/name_f] initially. I do like it but I would use it as a middle spot 1) because of the potential pronunciation issues and 2) if it is pronounced how I am pronouncing it with the emphasis on the second syllable (fa-LEEN) i.e. an iambic name like [name_f]Nicole[/name_f], [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] and [name_u]Marie[/name_u]. I really like finding new iambic names because they are great for middle names even if the first name also has two syllables. Sorry I’ve gone a bit off track, but essentially I think it’s a cute names and I like the Disney association but personally, I would use it as a middle name x
I like it! I first came across it on Nameberry, actually, and it instantly struck me as a pretty, interesting and wearable name. Not too associated with Disney, but the connection is a positive one.
It reminds me a tad of feline or failing but now i know how it’s quite distinctive and interesting
Faline [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
[name_f]Faline[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Faline[/name_f] [name_f]Odette[/name_f]
I love it, such a soft, pretty, elegant name.
I think it’s usable! Sorry for repeats -
