Opinions on Flynn

I just remembered that I knew a girl in High School named [name]Flynn[/name], and I thought it was the coolest name - she wore it very well. What do you all think? Could it be a solution to my epic quest for a second girl’s name which is rare and unusual, doesn’t end in -a or -el/elle, and could be used with mn [name]Julia[/name]?

I’m sorry, but I dislike [name]Flynn[/name] on a boy and on a girl it’s just awful. There are a TON of feminine options that fit your criteria.

[name]Tamsin[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Carys[/name]
[name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Lorelei[/name]
[name]Aislin[/name]
[name]Ottilie[/name]
[name]Maren[/name] / [name]Maris[/name]
[name]Danae[/name]

With [name]Finn[/name] and [name]Quin[/name] much more popular than [name]Flynn[/name] these days I think it would constantly be misheard, especially from a lisping toddler. I would also tend to assume it was a male name but that might be because [name]Finn[/name]/[name]Findley[/name]/[name]Finnegan[/name] is very popular among the many Irish kids I know.

I don’t like [name]Flynn[/name] for a girl. I really like the suggestion of [name]Maren[/name] [name]Julia[/name].

I think of it as a boy’s name, I’m not a fan.

I just don’t like [name]Flynn[/name] on a girl. I think it’s a cute name for a boy, but I’m not a fan of it on a little girl.

I don’t like [name]Flynn[/name] for a girl at all. Its all boy to me.

I love it for a girl. It seems weird for a boy to me because it sounds so much like “[name]Lynn[/name].” Flynnie is a cute NN.

Hmmm… Good feedback. I had only ever heard it the once on a girl over 10 years ago. I actually keep going back to [name]Lorelei[/name], but I am not sure I love it yet

[name]Flynn[/name] sounds definitely like a boy’s name. [name]Julia[/name] is somewhat dated. Sidenote: I like the name [name]Brielle[/name].

Boys name. With all the little girls loving Tangled, she’d be made fun of as it is the male heros name in that. [name]Flynn[/name] [name]Ryder[/name]. Also, it sounds like Phlegm which is a very real teasing possibility.

I think [name]Quinn[/name] would be the best if you want to stick with this sort of name.

[name]Julia[/name] was the name of both of my great-grandmothers and my aunt that passed away a few years ago, so I’d really like to honor them in the middle spot.

I like [name]Brielle[/name], also! but can’t use it in the first name spot due to last name starting with “L”.

[name]Flynn[/name] has been one of my favorite names for a little girl for a l-o-n-g time! For me, it’s all girl

I think it would be a cute name for a boy or a girl.
