Opinions on Grierson?

Thinking of the name Grierson for my little boy. Since its so unusual, I want to get the nameberry crew’s opinion. What do you all think?

It’s okay, but I find the pronunciation a little awkward.

[name]Grier[/name] is better for me.

I agree with castles but [name]Grier[/name] is a girls name.

[name]Grier[/name] is a unisex name. Sorry for double post, OP (I also replied in your other thread  ).

Ditto! I know [name]Grier[/name] is a unisex name more commonly used on girls but I think it would suit a boy just as well, if not better.

I think Grierson sounds too strongly of a last name to be useable as a first name. For me at least. I agree with some of the other posters that [name]Grier[/name] would be a viable alternative (I’m not personally a huge fan of that name either, but it’s not bad). Though it may be considered a girls name by some, I feel it has distinct masculine qualities and would be completely useable for a boy.
