We’ve already picked Aurélie [name]Antoinette[/name] for our baby girl. I just happened to find an older list of names & [name]Haidee[/name] [name]Anneliese[/name] was on that list. I love both names but I’m not really liking [name]Haidee[/name] the way I used to. It kind of reminds me of Haiti, unfortunately. If we have another child later on I do plan on using [name]Anneliese[/name] but I’m on the fence about [name]Haidee[/name]. What do you think of it?
It’s such a beautiful name but I can already see people confusing it with Haiti and thinking I was was trying to be unique by changing the spelling. The alternative, [name]Hedy[/name], doesn’t really sit well with me either.
I love Aurélie [name]Antoinette[/name]!! Beautiful!
Personally, I love [name]Haidee[/name]. Yes, it does sound like Haiti, but there’s the [name]Byron[/name] association, and she is also a character in [name]Dumas[/name]’ “The [name]Count[/name] of [name]Monte[/name] [name]Christo[/name]” which is one of my favourite books.
I don’t dislike it, but immediately think of Hades which is not a great association. I would also worry that people would think I was trying to invent a creative spelling for Haiti.
Aurélie [name]Antoinette[/name] is really beautiful, I love the glamourous French feel. [name]Haidee[/name] however… I think of Hades (ruler of the underworld,) and Haiti. I don’t like it at all. Sorry!
I love your choice of Aurélie [name]Antoinette[/name]! So divine!
About [name]Haidee[/name], the name personally is okay with me but like said above, i also think of Haiti and Hades.
Have you considered [name]Hailee[/name]/[name]Hailey[/name] (or even [name]Hayley[/name]) for a bit of a lighter feel, and I think [name]Hailey[/name] [name]Annaliese[/name] looks/sounds nice
I worry about the Hades association, (the first thing that came to my mind,) and also the spelling does look super tryndee. [name]Even[/name] though it may be a very old name, the vast majority of people won’t be aware of that and will think you made it up. Maybe that doesn’t bother you, but I wouldn’t like it.
On the other hand, I love [name]Aurelie[/name] [name]Antoinette[/name] and think [name]Anneliese[/name] is a great mn. Best of luck!
[name]Love[/name] Aurélie [name]Antoinette[/name]. It’s a pretty name. I’m not sure about [name]Haidee[/name]. It’s always [name]Heidi[/name] in my mind.
It doesn’t have to be a name in the ee sound; even though a lot of the names I like do have the ee sound . I like elegant name that aren’t very popular. Thanks everyone for your input. I’m pretty sure I won’t use it as a first name.
I think [name]Haidee[/name] is a lovely name! Like a previous poster said, it reminds me of the sweet character in [name]Dumas[/name]’ “The [name]Count[/name] of [name]Monte[/name] Cristo.” I probably would never use it as a first name though because I don’t like the Hades association, especially when you say things like, “This is [name]Haidee[/name]'s room”, etc. Since you like the name though, what about using it as a middle? It’s so beautiful.
