Opinions on Ivy, India & Rue

Hello berries just looking for some advice on a few names. Constructive feedback is great, no need for rudeness here. Now that I have that out of the way…

What do you think of…

[name]Ivy[/name]- Like as a first or middle choice (thinking maybe [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name] or [name]Natalia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name])

[name]India[/name]- Is the country associate to strong to make this a usable first name, how we it be as a middle name? ([name]Daphne[/name] [name]India[/name] or [name]Piper[/name] [name]India[/name] perhaps?)

[name]Rue[/name]- Could this name stand on it’s on own or does it only work for middle or a nn? (maybe [name]Ruby[/name] nn [name]Rue[/name] or [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Rue[/name])

All three names have kind of been striking my fancy lately and I was curious what others think of the names?

Not big on [name]India[/name] or [name]Rue[/name], but I love [name]Ivy[/name]… [name]One[/name] of my top combos is actually [name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Ivy[/name].

I’m the opposite to the previous poster I adore [name]India[/name] at the moment, and [name]Rue[/name] is just adorable. I would only really use [name]Rue[/name] as a nickname, for both a boy and a girl, [name]Rupert[/name] and [name]Ruby[/name]!

[name]India[/name] has grown on me so much lately!

[name]Do[/name] you think [name]Rue[/name] would work as a nickname for [name]Rosalie[/name]?

I really like [name]Ivy[/name].

[name]India[/name], eh. I don’t like place names unless there’s some sort of significance for you.

I know a [name]Rue[/name], but i do prefer it as a nickname. it’s very cute.

I like [name]Ivy[/name] most. [name]India[/name] on non-indians/people with no ties to [name]India[/name] is peeve of mine. [name]Rue[/name] is nice, but very Hunger Games which may or may not bother you. It’s also rather short seeming to me. I prefer longer names. I’d rather [name]Rue[/name] over [name]Ruby[/name] though.

I don’t like [name]Ivy[/name] in the middle due to [name]Blue[/name] [name]Ivy[/name], any name placed in front of [name]Ivy[/name] makes me think of it as a genre of the plant.

[name]India[/name] is absolutely gorgeous. I love it!

[name]Ivy[/name] is one I am slow to warm to, I can’t put my finger on why. It’s a nice name that rightfully gets a lot of love. I think I’m hung up on poison [name]Ivy[/name], but it still has a lot of positive stuff going for it.

[name]Rue[/name] is cute and fun, but pretty lightweight, I agree I like it better as a nn. It also is an arcane verb meaning “regret”, and a plant associated with regret, so to me, that puts it out of reach.

I like all three together! [name]Ivy[/name] [name]India[/name] [name]Rue[/name] is pretty.

[name]Ivy[/name]- I think it works as a first or middle. I’ve only known one [name]Ivy[/name] and she loves her name.

[name]India[/name]- [name]Piper[/name] [name]India[/name] is nice. I like the name [name]India[/name], but then I like word and place names. I think this one also works as either a first or middle.

[name]Rue[/name]- [name]Adore[/name] it, but I don’t think it has enough substance for a first name. [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Rue[/name] is gorgeous. [name]Rue[/name] to me is like [name]Mae[/name]/[name]May[/name] and [name]Rose[/name]: it’s lovely as a mn with almost every name you put it with.

I like [name]Ivy[/name]. Prefer it as a mn think it’s a great alternative to [name]Anne[/name], [name]Jane[/name] or [name]Grace[/name].

Country names like [name]India[/name] are nms. I’m currently thinking of the Walmart ad on the radio (I think it’s Walmart) Where “[name]Asia[/name]” wants to donate to her kids school. Every time is confuses me a little bit when the guy says “I’m calling [name]Asia[/name].” I think that’s how I’d feel about [name]India[/name] as well.

I think [name]Rue[/name] is a very cute name but I prefer it as a nn. Full name options could include [name]Prudence[/name] and [name]Ruth[/name].

Edits: typos 'cause I was tired when I originally posted.

I’m really loving [name]Ivy[/name]. I think it would work for all ages and feels much weightier than most 3 letter names (like [name]Rue[/name]…)

I don’t like [name]Rue[/name] on it’s own, it just doesn’t sound like a name to me, and I keep thinking of the Hunger Games. It could work as a nn, but nms.

I think [name]India[/name] is pretty, but like some others already, I would only use it if the country held some sort of significance to you, your spouse or the relationship.
