What do you think on the girls name, Lillen?
Nickname [name_f]Lily[/name_f].
I’m ambivalent. I think it’d get confused with [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] a lot. But it is nice, and I like having a longer name for [name_f]Lily[/name_f].
It has a nice, rounded sound. I can imagine it as a middle name, but I think it will constantly be confused with [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] in the first name spot.
I don’t mind it, but I think I’d assume it was both [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_u]Leland[/name_u] before seeing it written down (so, yeah, I agree about the first name spot not being ideal).

I’m ambivalent, too. I want to really love it, but it comes off the way a child might mispronounce [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]. If it were a family surname or something it could work, but it’s the kind of name that you’d end up explaining a lot.

I love the idea of Lillen, but I agree that it would be confused for [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] a lot. If you called her [name_f]Lily[/name_f] all the time and Lillen was just for the birth certificate though, or if it was a middle name, it would be fine.
I think it would so easily be confused with [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]. I really like [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] (nn: [name_f]Lily[/name_f]) so I would stick with the original.
