Opinions on my Girl Names

Thank you so much, it is really appreciated. I do know who [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] is, I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] her writing. If you don’t mind me asking. [name_m]How[/name_m] did she ruin the name for you?

Any other concerns or thoughts with my names? I would really appreciate the help. Be sure to check out my list of boy names as well. The list is in my signature (link).

[name_u]Alexis[/name_u] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] ([name_u]Lexie[/name_u]) - [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] seems dated but I love [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. What about [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]?
[name_u]Andrea[/name_u] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] ([name_u]Andy[/name_u]) - [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] seems a bit dated to me and I do not like the nickname [name_u]Andy[/name_u], but I love [name_u]Rae[/name_u].
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] ([name_f]Beth[/name_f]) - Same as above. [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] is dated but I love [name_f]Rose[/name_f]!
[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] ([name_f]Cassie[/name_f]) - Again, the same fn/mn thing.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Abbigale[/name_f] ([name_f]Charlee[/name_f]) - love [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. [name_f]Abbigale[/name_f] is okay to me, but great as a MN for [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].
[name_f]Clarissa[/name_f] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] ([name_f]Clary[/name_f]) - Same as before, love [name_u]Gray[/name_u] though. What about [name_f]Clara[/name_f]?
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] ([name_u]Evan[/name_u]) - [name_u]Love[/name_u] this! Not sure how I feel about [name_u]Evan[/name_u] as a NN though… hmm
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] (Fizzy) - really not a fan of [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] but [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is great! Although, I prefer it spelt [name_u]Clare[/name_u].
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] ([name_f]Genny[/name_f]) - not my style, but not bad. good combo!
[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] Elizabethe ([name_u]Jessie[/name_u]) - Personally, I prefer just [name_f]Jessa[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] without the E at the end. But still a great combo!
[name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_u]Nichole[/name_u] ([name_f]Kat[/name_f]) - [name_u]Nichole[/name_u] is not a bad MN but I’ve liked your others better. I like [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] but it does remind me too much of [name_f]Katrina[/name_f].
[name_u]Laine[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u]! But what about [name_f]Laina[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Laine[/name_u]?
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] ([name_f]Lilly[/name_f]) - love it!
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] - love it! but there might be too much “ee” sound.
[name_f]Nathalie[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] ([name_u]Nat[/name_u]/[name_u]Allie[/name_u]) - I like this one! Especially with [name_u]Allie[/name_u] as a NN.
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f] ([name_u]Ronnie[/name_u]) - love!

I went through a phase were I really liked ‘boys’ names on girls, ([name_f]My[/name_f] name’s [name_u]Jaime[/name_u] and I’ve been told a million and a half times that I have a boys name and it was the most annoying thing to hear) so I don’t have a problem with your name choices here! I think the flow is off on a couple ([name_u]Andrea[/name_u] [name_u]Rae[/name_u], [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]), but you have a lot of names that can be mixed and matched. Are you super set on these combinations or are you open to switching them around?

As they are, I like:
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

If you’re open to changes, I like:
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Lane[/name_u] (I like both names but something about [name_u]Lane[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] just doesn’t work for me! And [name_u]Lane[/name_u] is one of those middle names that can be paired with about any of these choices. So if you really love it, you can use it.)
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] (I’m not loving an [name_u]Alex[/name_u] name with [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]!)
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u]/[name_u]Reese[/name_u]
[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]/[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] ([name_m]How[/name_m] are you saying [name_u]Andrea[/name_u]? [name_f]Ann[/name_f]-dree-ah or Ahn-dray-uh? I think the second option sounds lovely!)
[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u]/[name_u]Gray[/name_u]
[name_f]Nathalie[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f]
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] (I like [name_f]Belle[/name_f] a little more than [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]!)

I couldn’t find a spot for [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f], maybe it’s because I didn’t like a girl with the same name or it feels a little old, but I don’t love it! I also don’t love [name_f]Katarina[/name_f], maybe there’s a variation you’ll love?

Thank you once again, I personally only like [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] as a middle and I do not like [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] or [name_f]Laina[/name_f]. But thank you for the suggestion anyways they mean a lot.

Thank you, and as of right now I am pretty content with my pairings but I’m sire that will change shortly or in a while. I pronounce [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] as [name_f]Ann[/name_f]-dree-ah. Yes I do love boy names on girls, there are more I like (a lot) but they didn’t make it to top 16. Thank you for your suggestions as I said I am pretty content but I think [name_f]Nathalie[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] and [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] are pretty. Thanks. [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] is a name I recently started liking so probably not a variation and [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] is my all time favourite and I have loved it for around 6 or 7 years.

Thank you to everyone who has commented, I appreciate it. If you haven’t check out my boy version. Thanks.

Combinations I love:

[name_f]Clarissa[/name_f] [name_u]Gray[/name_u]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]

Names I love (but don’t like in your combinations):

[name_f]Adele[/name_f]
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f]
[name_f]Katarina[/name_f]
[name_u]Laine[/name_u]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Nathalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f]

Names I just don’t like:

[name_f]Abbigale[/name_f] (prefer [name_f]Abigail[/name_f])
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u]
[name_u]Andrea[/name_u]
[name_f]Brielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]
Elizabethe (prefer [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f])
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u]
[name_u]Nichole[/name_u]
[name_u]Rae[/name_u]
[name_u]Reese[/name_u]

Again, just like on my boy version, thank you so much it truly is helpful to understand the types of names people like.

[name_u]Alexis[/name_u] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] ([name_u]Lexie[/name_u])-I quite like [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] separately, but I’m not a fan of them together.
[name_u]Andrea[/name_u] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] ([name_u]Andy[/name_u])-Ehh. [name_u]Rae[/name_u]'s a cute middle name.
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] ([name_f]Beth[/name_f])-I like [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] and really like [name_f]Beth[/name_f]. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a lovely first name but an overused middle name.
[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] ([name_f]Cassie[/name_f])-I like [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is okay, though somewhat plain
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Abbigale[/name_f] ([name_f]Charlee[/name_f])-[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] (spelled that way)! [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] is a nice name but definitely prefer this spelling.
[name_f]Clarissa[/name_f] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] ([name_f]Clary[/name_f])-Lately I’ve been liking [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f]. [name_u]Gray[/name_u] is a great middle name, though I think the [name_u]Grey[/name_u] spelling is more feminine.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] ([name_u]Evan[/name_u])-[name_u]Love[/name_u] this combo! The name [name_u]Evan[/name_u] is all boy to me.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] (Fizzy)-[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. Dislike Fizzy.
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] ([name_f]Genny[/name_f])-I like [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]. [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] is okay. Prefer the mn’s [name_f]Evie[/name_f] or [name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] Elizabethe ([name_u]Jessie[/name_u])-[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] is okay and I like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (spelled that way).
[name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_u]Nichole[/name_u] ([name_f]Kat[/name_f])
[name_u]Laine[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]-I prefer [name_u]Laney[/name_u]. [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is beautiful but veryyyy popular.
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] ([name_f]Lilly[/name_f])-Probably my favorite combo. [name_u]Love[/name_u] this, it flows beautifully.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]-[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is male to me. I really like the name [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].
[name_f]Nathalie[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] ([name_u]Nat[/name_u]/[name_u]Allie[/name_u])-Prefer the [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] spelling or [name_f]Natalia[/name_f]. Pairs well with [name_u]Reese[/name_u]. I like the nn [name_u]Allie[/name_u].
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f] ([name_u]Ronnie[/name_u])-I like [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] but it’s NMS. [name_f]Adele[/name_f] is nice.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourites would have to be [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] & [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. I like most of the other names but just not in those combos, such as [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_u]Rae[/name_u] & [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f].

Thank you so much! What do you think about [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_u]Nichole[/name_u]? You skipped that one accidently it looks like. All the help is much appreciated. Did you check out my boy version?

Thank you!!

Thank you everyone for your opinions on my names. Please check out my boy version as well. I have now included a question on the original post. It would be a great help if you could answer them. Thank you all again.

[name_u]Alexis[/name_u] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] nn [name_u]Lexie[/name_u] - I know SO many girls named [name_u]Lexie[/name_u], so I’m not a fan. The sound is fine, it’s just the associations for me. I don’t like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] very much though.
[name_u]Andrea[/name_u] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] nn [name_u]Andy[/name_u] - I think it’s fine. It’s not really my style, but there aren’t any problems with it.
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] nn [name_f]Beth[/name_f] - I think this combo is lovely.
[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] nn [name_f]Cassie[/name_f] - Another lovely combo. I love [name_f]Cassie[/name_f].
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Abbigale[/name_f] nn [name_f]Charlee[/name_f] - I like the nickname [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] better than [name_f]Charlee[/name_f], but the combo itself is great.
[name_f]Clarissa[/name_f] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] nn [name_f]Clary[/name_f] - [name_u]Gray[/name_u] is all boy to me, and I don’t like [name_f]Clary[/name_f] as a nn, but I love [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f] and I think it flows well.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] nn [name_u]Evan[/name_u] - I don’t like [name_u]Evan[/name_u] as a nn at all. [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] on its own is lovely, and [name_u]Evan[/name_u] is so masculine sounding. What about [name_u]Angie[/name_u] or [name_f]Eve[/name_f] or [name_f]Evie[/name_f] or something like that? They’re a lot more feminine sounding. I think the combo is lovely though.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] nn Fizzy - I don’t think Fizzy is a very fortunate nickname, but [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is nice.
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] nn [name_f]Genny[/name_f] - I think it’s nice.
[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] Elizabethe nn [name_u]Jessie[/name_u] - I don’t love [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Jessa[/name_f] is a good nn. Of course, [name_u]Jessie[/name_u] is fine too. As for Elizabethe, I don’t see what’s wrong with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. It’s a nice combo though.
[name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_u]Nichole[/name_u] nn [name_f]Kat[/name_f] - I think it’s nice.
[name_u]Laine[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] - I don’t like [name_u]Laine[/name_u] very much, but [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is nice.
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lilly[/name_f] - I love it.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] - I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is the better option spelling-wise, and I don’t like [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] at all on a girl. It’s all boy to me.
[name_f]Nathalie[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] nn [name_u]Nat[/name_u]/[name_u]Allie[/name_u] - I think it’s nice.
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f] nn [name_u]Ronnie[/name_u] - It’s nice. I don’t like [name_f]Adele[/name_f] very much, but it flows nicely.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (but not with the nn [name_u]Evan[/name_u].) Sorry if this comes off as a little harsh - just being honest. And remember that these are only my opinions! Others might feel differently.

[name_u]Alexis[/name_u] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] ([name_u]Lexie[/name_u])- 4/10 [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] has always sounded really masculine to me. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] is nice!
[name_u]Andrea[/name_u] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] ([name_u]Andy[/name_u])- 4/10 [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] is really outdated to me. [name_u]Rae[/name_u] has always seemed a bit young.
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] ([name_f]Beth[/name_f])- 8/10 Very pretty! [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a bit filler, but still nice.
[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] ([name_f]Cassie[/name_f])- 8/10 Same as above. [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is sort of filler but [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] is gorgeous.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Abbigale[/name_f] ([name_f]Charlee[/name_f])- 5/10 Why not [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]?
[name_f]Clarissa[/name_f] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] ([name_f]Clary[/name_f])- 6/10 [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f] is so pretty, but [name_u]Gray[/name_u] is very masculine.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] ([name_u]Evan[/name_u])- 7/10 Pretty, but why [name_u]Evan[/name_u]? Why not [name_f]Eva[/name_f], or [name_f]Lina[/name_f], or [name_u]Angel[/name_u]? [name_u]Evan[/name_u] is so masculine.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] (Fizzy)- 6/10 Pretty name, but not crazy about the nick name.
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] ([name_f]Genny[/name_f])- 5/10 [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is nice. I hate [name_f]Brielle[/name_f], though. Sorry. :frowning: It’s just my opinion, don’t let me sway you.
[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] Elizabethe ([name_u]Jessie[/name_u])- 9/10 Almost perfect, but why the E at the end of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]? If you want something different, maybe try [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]?
[name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_u]Nichole[/name_u] ([name_f]Kat[/name_f])- 3/10 Totally nms.
[name_u]Laine[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]- 2/10 [name_m]How[/name_m] do you say [name_u]Laine[/name_u]? [name_m]Lay[/name_m]-nee?
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] ([name_f]Lilly[/name_f])- 8/10 Gorgeous.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]- 4/10 I don’t like [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] at all.
[name_f]Nathalie[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] ([name_u]Nat[/name_u]/[name_u]Allie[/name_u])- 4/10 Seems very 90’s to me.
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f] ([name_u]Ronnie[/name_u])- 7/10 Cute!

Thank you so much for your honest opinions, I know some of the nicknames and spellings may ne a bit masculine or s bit out of the ordinary but I like that. I grew up with a very popular name spelled differently and that is why I can stand it. As for the nicknames I really like unisex/boy names on girls and I think the nicknames were I great way to include my other style of names into some of my favourites. Thank you, your comments were not rude at all.

~[name_f]Mady[/name_f]

Thank you for your opinions. [name_u]Laine[/name_u] is pronounced like [name_u]Lane[/name_u]. As for Elizabethe I am not trying to be unique, it is a special name to me, after one of my relatives. As for the nickname [name_u]Evan[/name_u], I don’t like [name_f]Eve[/name_f] or [name_f]Eva[/name_f] or [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_u]Angel[/name_u] or [name_f]Lina[/name_f]. I don’t know why but I don’t find them appealing, that is just my personal opinion. Again I would just like to thank you. It really does help. Have you checked out my boy version.

~[name_f]Mady[/name_f]

Hello, I love all of the comments but please, would you mind answering the questions as well? It would also help. Please keep the opinions coming they are a great help.
