Opinions on my girl names

Hello, everyone. I would love your opinions on my baby girl names! Thanks!

[name_f]Alethea[/name_f]/[name_f]Thea[/name_f]- I think [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is a very strong, feminine name all on its own but I also like [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] with the nn [name_f]Thea[/name_f]. Which do you prefer?

[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]

[name_u]Blair[/name_u]

[name_f]Brynn[/name_f]

[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]

[name_f]Clara[/name_f]

[name_f]Delilah[/name_f]

[name_f]Harlow[/name_f]

[name_u]Harper[/name_u]

[name_f]Indie[/name_f]

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]

[name_f]Jane[/name_f]

[name_u]Colbie[/name_u]/[name_f]Kolbi[/name_f]- I’m unsure of which spelling.

[name_f]Liv[/name_f]- I don’t like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] but I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Liv[/name_f].

[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]

[name_f]Lux[/name_f]

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]

[name_u]Shea[/name_u]

[name_u]Skye[/name_u]

[name_f]Sunday[/name_f]- I don’t think I would ever actually use this. If I did it would be as a middle name tho.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f]

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]

[name_f]Willa[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]!

Oh my, so many names! I’m going to try and review each one. I hope this won’t be too long or wordy. I’m awfully sorry if it is. I love many a name on your list so buckle up!

[name_f]Alethea[/name_f] “[name_f]Thea[/name_f]” has so much packed into it. It’s got goddess cred and has a lovely meaning to boot. It also easily shortens to [name_f]Thea[/name_f], a much more familiar option. That is why [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] is one of my favorite names on your list. She has everything.

[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] is stunning, shimmering, and golden. A yes from me. I’m curious about how you would pronounce her, though. I say (ah-[name_u]RAY[/name_u]-lee-ah) personally.

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] brings to mind the [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] Borealis and conjures up images of the dawn as well, naturally. Another goddess name automatically is another enthusiastic yes from me.

I’m not overly crazy about [name_u]Blair[/name_u] or [name_f]Brynn[/name_f], but it comes down to individual style. I just don’t have a thing for unisex names. But if you love the names, that’s all that matters!

[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] comes off as a delicate sounding name with surprisingly ancient, strong roots. I can easily see a girl of any age wearing this name well.

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is awfully popular, but understandably so! If you don’t mind the popularity bit, she’s a charming choice.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] always reminds me of the Nutcracker and winter in general. She’s dainty and classic, and absolutely perfect.

I love names of controversial women, and [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] takes the cake. She has a mellifluous sound and is overall a gorgeous name to bestow upon a child. An inspired choice.

I am not a fan of [name_f]Harlow[/name_f], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], or [name_f]Indie[/name_f] I’m afraid. Again, it’s only my humble opinion. [name_u]Colbie[/name_u]/[name_f]Kolbi[/name_f], [name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_f]Lux[/name_f], [name_u]Shea[/name_u], and [name_u]Skye[/name_u] are also nos from me, I’m sorry to say.

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is short and sweet, with a lot of spunk.

[name_f]Jane[/name_f] may be rather common, but she’s a classic. Not plain at all. I’d argue that she’s an underused name, even.

[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] is beautiful in a haunting sort of way. One of my personal favorites.

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]! [name_m]How[/name_m] fresh and sweet.

[name_f]Sunday[/name_f] would make for a darling middle name. I would be hesitant to use it as a first name.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] fills my mind with marvelous imagery, and for that reason I love her so.

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] will always and forever remind me of the Lady of the [name_u]Lake[/name_u], which is a positive association for me, so I’m completely sold on this name. One of my favorites from your list.

[name_f]Willa[/name_f] is dainty and dreamy to me. A whimsical name that isn’t too extreme.

Sorry if I said too much or not enough!

[name_f]Alethea[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Thea[/name_f] for its lighter easier sounds

[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] - gorgeous, a big fave with a lovelt meaning

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] - cute and celestial though i prefer [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]

[name_u]Blair[/name_u] -sleek, on trend but distinctive

[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] - cute but sharp

[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] -lyrical and melodic though i prefer the [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] sp

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] -regal and elegant but very popular

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] -bright, clear and cheery

[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] - vibrant, funky and beautiful

[name_f]Harlow[/name_f] - love the sounds

[name_u]Harper[/name_u] -literary and cool but a little overdone for me

[name_f]Indie[/name_f] - cute and quirky

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] -vintage but fresh

[name_f]Jane[/name_f] -literary, underused but not as nice as others on your list

[name_u]Colbie[/name_u] -not really a fan. The sounds are a bit clunky but i prefer this spelling. [name_f]Callie[/name_f], [name_u]Correy[/name_u], [name_f]Corie[/name_f], [name_u]Ashby[/name_u], [name_f]Dulcie[/name_f] and [name_u]Keeley[/name_u] are similar choices

[name_f]Liv[/name_f] -unpopular opinion here but i find it a bit lacklustre. Nothing at all wrong with it though

[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] - mythical and distinct but also familiar!
[name_f]Lux[/name_f] -brighr and sweet

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] - so full of charm

[name_u]Shea[/name_u] -quite nice though i prefer the look of [name_u]Shay[/name_u]

[name_u]Skye[/name_u] -beautiful imagery without being frilly

[name_f]Sunday[/name_f] - would make a sweet, soothing middle especially with names like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] or [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] would all be sweet

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] -sophicated, pretty but tough

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]-feels sleek and fashionable. Quite nice

[name_f]Willa[/name_f] - rugged yet gentle and quirky

[name_f]Alethea[/name_f]/[name_f]Thea[/name_f]- not a fan of [name_f]Thea[/name_f], I find it too clunky, but I like [name_f]Alethea[/name_f]!

[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] both have princessy vibes, but also have a certain amount of spunk to them.

[name_u]Blair[/name_u] and [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] are both spunky and strong, but I much prefer [name_u]Blair[/name_u].

[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] are sweet, more classic names, but don’t stick out to me.

[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] is sweet, but all I can think about is [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] [name_u]Green[/name_u]'s complaint after her daughter is born and [name_m]Ross[/name_m] suggests [name_f]Delilah[/name_f].

[name_f]Harlow[/name_f], [name_u]Harper[/name_u] and [name_f]Indie[/name_f] are all fresh, with a soft hippie vibe that I adore.

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is fantastic - has spunk and femininity.

[name_f]Jane[/name_f] is too plain for me. Personally, [name_u]Colbie[/name_u]/[name_u]Kolby[/name_u] is too masculine, and [name_f]Liv[/name_f] is too nickname-y - sorry!

[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] - mythical and familiar

[name_f]Lux[/name_f] - strong and spunky

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] - lovely and feminine. I do prefer [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] though.

[name_u]Shea[/name_u] - is this shee-ah or sh-ay? If it’s the latter, I prefer [name_u]Shay[/name_u] as a spelling.

[name_u]Skye[/name_u] - bit trendy but like the nature vibe

[name_f]Sunday[/name_f] - a fun middle name

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - familiar and spunky, but getting very popular

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] - love it! classy but still adventurous

[name_f]Willa[/name_f] - like the vibe but prefer [name_f]Willow[/name_f]

[name_f]Alethea[/name_f]/[name_f]Thea[/name_f]- I prefer just [name_f]Thea[/name_f]. She’s so soft, floaty and whimsical!

[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] - This has grown on me lately. I don’t love it, but she’s classy and elegant

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] slightly to [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], except I do find it a little tongue-twistery sometimes.

[name_u]Blair[/name_u] - I’ve never liked [name_u]Blair[/name_u], it sounds like ‘blegh’ to me!

[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Brynn[/name_f]! I’d probably opt for [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] as a middle name over a first though.

[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] - Adorable, so sweet and sassy!

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - Classical and pretty, but I’m going off her a bit at the moment. I feel she lacks something.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. She’s so elegant and classic. And so underused! I’d swoon if I met a little [name_f]Clara[/name_f].

[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] - I don’t love [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], she’s got a pretty feel about her though.

[name_f]Harlow[/name_f] - I adore [name_f]Harlow[/name_f]. So spunky yet magical and elegant at the same time. Perfect!

[name_u]Harper[/name_u] - I really like [name_u]Harper[/name_u] a lot, but she is very trendy so I guess personally I try to steer away from her.

[name_f]Indie[/name_f] - [name_f]Indie[/name_f] is so cute and quirky!

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] - [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is so beautiful!

[name_f]Jane[/name_f] - Boring and outdated sorry

[name_u]Colbie[/name_u]/[name_f]Kolbi[/name_f]- I’d definitely opt for [name_u]Colbie[/name_u] as [name_f]Kolbi[/name_f] looks made up, but I don’t like this for a girl.

[name_f]Liv[/name_f]- I like [name_f]Liv[/name_f] on it’s own, totally usable along with the [name_f]Eve[/name_f]'s, [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]'s and [name_f]Elle[/name_f]'s of today. She’s sweet and spunky.

[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] - I like this, but it’s not one of my favourites from this list. It looks nice written down but said out loud, it’s a bit much.

[name_f]Lux[/name_f] - [name_f]Lux[/name_f] is wonderful, but I’d use it as a middle only. I feel it’s lacking something to be a first name.

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] - I like the feel this gives off, but it’s not one I’d use myself. I don’t like the ‘mag’ sound at the start.

[name_u]Shea[/name_u] - Are you pronouncing this [name_u]Shay[/name_u]? I don’t like Shee-uh, and I don’t see how people get [name_u]Shay[/name_u] from this spelling. I do like how [name_u]Shay[/name_u] sounds though, if it were spelt this way.

[name_u]Skye[/name_u] - It’s okay, nothing special. I’d prefer [name_u]Skyler[/name_u]/[name_u]Skylar[/name_u] although they’re rather trendy.

[name_f]Sunday[/name_f] - This, along with [name_f]September[/name_f] are GPs of mine! They look so wonderful written in a name, but would I actually go for it? It’s rather unlikely!

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - A classic. Can’t go wrong with [name_f]Violet[/name_f]!

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] - [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] makes a pretty middle name but I feel it’s a bit outdated for a first.

[name_f]Willa[/name_f] - [name_f]Lovely[/name_f], sweet and feminine.

I love these classic names on your list: [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]

Classic, too, but not my style: [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f]

Unattractive Surnames, [name_f]IMO[/name_f]: [name_u]Blair[/name_u] (I don’t get this for a girl…I just hear “blah!”), [name_f]Harlow[/name_f], [name_u]Harper[/name_u]

[name_m]Uber[/name_m]-Trendy for the 2000’s: [name_f]Brynn[/name_f], [name_f]Indie[/name_f], [name_u]Colbie[/name_u]/[name_f]Kolbi[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Lux[/name_f], [name_u]Shea[/name_u]

Not a fan of word names: [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], [name_u]Skye[/name_u], [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]

That leaves [name_f]Liv[/name_f]- I like it as a nn for [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], but as a stand-alone, it sounds tooooo nicknamey.

[name_f]Alethea[/name_f]/[name_f]Thea[/name_f]- [name_f]Lovely[/name_f]! I prefer [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] “[name_f]Thea[/name_f]” to just [name_f]Thea[/name_f], it makes it more romantic and versatile. Beautiful name either way.

[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] - Really elegant, easy to spell and unexpected. Great name!

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] - Beautiful imagery but a bit too popular for my tastes.

[name_u]Blair[/name_u] - It’s pretty, but I guess just doesn’t sound that “special” to me. I’d prefer [name_f]Belle[/name_f], [name_f]Briar[/name_f] or [name_f]Blythe[/name_f].

[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] - Cute, but feels a bit trendy so I’d keep it as a middle to be safe.

[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]! It’s romantic but with the cute nn [name_f]Cece[/name_f]. Or [name_f]Celia[/name_f].

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - I know a looot of Charlottes and even more Charlies, so I’m a bit tired of it. I’d like it with the nickname [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] though.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] - [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is so underrated! It’s such a stunning and beautiful classic, I love it.

[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] - [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]'s great! It’s honestly just fun to say, and really spunky.

[name_f]Harlow[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Harlow[/name_f], it’s modern but very sleek and elegant.

[name_u]Harper[/name_u] - Cute but I dislike how there aren’t any nicknames.

[name_f]Indie[/name_f] - [name_f]Indie[/name_f]'s precious! I prefer [name_u]Indigo[/name_u]/[name_f]Indira[/name_f] “[name_f]Indie[/name_f]” but just [name_f]Indie[/name_f] is lovely as well.

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] - I used to really like this but the popularity of [name_f]Eva[/name_f]/[name_f]Ava[/name_f] has put me off a bit. Still a nice name!

[name_f]Jane[/name_f] - I think [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is incredibly underused nowadays. With an exciting middle name it’d be so beautiful.

[name_u]Colbie[/name_u]/[name_f]Kolbi[/name_f]- Not a fan. I’d assume a [name_u]Colbie[/name_u] (the spelling I prefer, though if I had the option I’d say [name_u]Colby[/name_u]) was male and I just don’t like the sound. What about [name_f]Colette[/name_f]?

[name_f]Liv[/name_f]- I agree with you, I also don’t like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] but I think [name_f]Liv[/name_f] is beautiful! Elegant in its simplicity, as they say.

[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] - I have a huge soft spot for [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]. Like [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], it’s fun to say, and I like the nicknames too.

[name_f]Lux[/name_f] - I usually don’t love short names but [name_f]Lux[/name_f] has such a unique sound, it’s great!

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] - One of my favorites. The flower itself is gorgeous, like this name. And nicknames [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]/[name_f]Nolie[/name_f]/[name_f]Nolia[/name_f]/[name_f]Molly[/name_f] are to die for.

[name_u]Shea[/name_u] - A bit too simple, I’d keep it as a nickname. [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] “[name_u]Shea[/name_u]” could be fun!

[name_u]Skye[/name_u] - Feels dated to me, I’d imagine a [name_u]Skye[/name_u] was born 20-25 years ago.

[name_f]Sunday[/name_f]- I personally find [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] usable! But there’s also [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] “[name_u]Sunny[/name_u]” or just [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] to consider.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - I just think of “violent”, and the popularity bothers me/

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] - My favorite spelling of the name, but personally I wouldn’t use any [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] variation as a first name since it’d get misspelled a lot!

[name_f]Willa[/name_f] - Another name that’s beautiful in its simplicity, there’s just something about [name_f]Willa[/name_f] that makes me think of cozy autumn days spent inside with some tea.

Big thanks to everyone who took the time to reply to this. I know it was a lot lol. I’ve really enjoyed reading all the feedback!
