Opinions on my girls list?

[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Felicity[/name] “[name]Amy[/name]”
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Marie[/name] “[name]Georgie[/name]” ([name]Do[/name] you prefer the Jor-[name]JAY[/name]-na or Jor-jee-AHN-a pronunciation?)
[name]Bryony[/name] [name]Elise[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Louise[/name] “[name]Edie[/name]”
[name]Cornelia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] “[name]Cora[/name]”
[name]Emilia[/name] [name]Auguste[/name]
[name]Gwendolen[/name] [name]Hermione[/name]
[name]Lyra[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name]
[name]Thalia[/name] Glorianne

Obviously I wouldn’t use some of the more similar ones together in a sibset, but I still like them all. I do like some significantly more than others, but I always have such a hard time coming up with names that I just absolutely love! Family names are [name]Anne[/name], [name]Marie[/name], [name]Elisabeth[/name], [name]Auguste[/name] (My [name]German[/name] great-grandmother, it’s pronounced the same as [name]Augusta[/name]), and [name]Gloria[/name].

Haha, I knew I recognized your username! [name]Welcome[/name] to Nameberry! (I’m @thelionandthebelle on ParentsConnect…) I have always loved your style, and I really like these combos!

[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Felicity[/name] - I like [name]Emilia[/name] more than [name]Amelia[/name], but I can see the appeal of this. I’m not a huge fan of [name]Amy[/name], but it is sweet. I like [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Felicity[/name] better, stylistically, too, but that’s just me.

[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Marie[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Georgiana[/name]! And the nn [name]Georgie[/name]. I think I actually prefer jor-[name]JAY[/name]-nah but would use jor-jee-[name]AH[/name]-nah in real life if I ever used it–I think that’s just the pronunciation people lean toward and I think it’d be less confusing for my child.

[name]Bryony[/name] [name]Elise[/name] - I adore [name]Bryony[/name]! I am always so happy when I see it on your list. It deserves so much more attention, haha. I like the nn Bry for it, and I think [name]Brynn[/name] could also work–I don’t know if you would really like that, though–your style leans more toward very girly and vintage. I have always loved [name]Elisabeth[/name] names with [name]Bryony[/name]… [name]Bryony[/name] [name]Elise[/name] is so sweet.

[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]! It’s one of my personal favorites. I don’t love [name]Victoria[/name], but I think it works well with [name]Charlotte[/name]. The combo makes me think of a royal name, like something you’d find in English royalty or something.

[name]Edith[/name] [name]Louise[/name] - I love the nn [name]Edie[/name] (slightly less than [name]Evie[/name], but I still love it), but I’m not quite as crazy about [name]Edith[/name]. The combo is nice and flows well… it’s just a bit too vintage for me. I’m sure there are tons of others on here that will love it, though!

[name]Cornelia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] - I adore the nn [name]Cora[/name] and these two names work together so well! I especially love [name]Ivy[/name]. Would you consider [name]Cordelia[/name]? I like [name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] so much more, but again, that’s probably just my style talking. [name]Cornelia[/name] probably works better with your other names… I just can’t get past the “Corn” beginning. :frowning:

[name]Emilia[/name] [name]Auguste[/name] - love it!!! I adore [name]Emilia[/name] and I love the family name [name]Auguste[/name] with it. Very pretty.

[name]Gwendolen[/name] [name]Hermione[/name] - lovelovelove. I adore [name]Gwendolen[/name] (and its nns!), and the less mainstream [name]Hermione[/name] pairs well with it.

[name]Lyra[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] - I’m so glad to see this is still on your list. It was one of the first names you had talked about when I first saw you on the PC naming board, and I think it’s so lovely and refreshing. I hadn’t seen it for a while so I was afraid it was gone!

[name]Thalia[/name] Glorianne - I do like [name]Thalia[/name] a lot–how do you say it? I’m considering it myself but I’ve heard people come up with several pronunciations for it. I’m not hugely fond of Glori- names, but I do like that the MN would honor family for you.

[name]Lyra[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name], [name]Bryony[/name] [name]Elise[/name], and [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Auguste[/name] are my favorites!

Yep I’m from PC haha. I actually came here since I saw you post about it there and I like finding new forums to chat on so I thought I’d give it a try!

To answer your questions, I would consider [name]Cordelia[/name] instead of [name]Cornelia[/name] and I actually think it sounds better with [name]Ivy[/name], and I prn [name]Thalia[/name] as [name]TAH[/name]-lee-ah, but with the very slightest hint of an H after the T but not enough to include it, haha. [name]Do[/name] you have better mn suggestions for [name]Edith[/name]?

I adore many of the names on your list, but my favorites are most definitely [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Marie[/name] and [name]Cornelia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name]! I pronounce [name]Georgiana[/name] Jor-jee-anna.

The one name I don’t really like is [name]Bryony[/name] [name]Elise[/name]. I have nothing against [name]Bryony[/name] or [name]Elise[/name], but I strongly prefer [name]Elise[/name] as a first name and [name]Bryony[/name] as a middle.

I love [name]Edith[/name], but I think there are better choices than [name]Louise[/name]. [name]Hermione[/name] is one of my favorite names, but I don’t like seeing it in the middle spot.

My family has an [name]Auguste[/name] too…or two, rather, but one has always gone by [name]Elisabeth[/name]. I love the name [[name]Auguste[/name]]! [name]How[/name] about [name]Edith[/name] [name]Auguste[/name]?

[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Felicity[/name] “[name]Amy[/name]” - [name]Love[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] but not [name]Felicity[/name]. I also prefer the NN [name]Mia[/name]

[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Marie[/name] “[name]Georgie[/name]” - Jor-jee-AHN-a is how I would say it unless I was corrected. I like it but [name]Marie[/name] seems like a filler unless it is a family name

[name]Bryony[/name] [name]Elise[/name] - perfect match!

[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name]!

[name]Edith[/name] [name]Louise[/name] “[name]Edie[/name]” - [name]Love[/name] [name]Edie[/name] as a NN but [name]Louise[/name] seems old and drab to me, what about [name]Edith[/name] [name]Louisa[/name] to spice it up just a bit?

[name]Cornelia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] “[name]Cora[/name]” - I like it but I am afraid that [name]Ivy[/name] is going to sky rocket in popularity :frowning:

[name]Emilia[/name] [name]Auguste[/name] - I strongly prefer your [name]Amelia[/name] combo

[name]Gwendolen[/name] [name]Hermione[/name] - This seems like a lot of name, neither name seems that wearable either. As a Pre-K teacher, I think this name could cause problems when we learn teach them to write their full names. I hope I am not coming across as harsh on this!

[name]Lyra[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] - I like it, especially [name]Lyra[/name]

[name]Thalia[/name] Glorianne - [name]Both[/name] are nice but together something just seems a little off

Best wishes

I like both suggestions for [name]Edith[/name] alternatives! ([name]Auguste[/name] and [name]Louisa[/name]) Thanks for your help!

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]! The others are nice but this name is wonderful!

[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Felicity[/name] “[name]Amy[/name]” - I normally do not like either name, but together it’s a beautiful combination!
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Marie[/name] “[name]Georgie[/name]” ([name]Do[/name] you prefer the Jor-[name]JAY[/name]-na or Jor-jee-AHN-a pronunciation?) - Very pretty! I prefer the jor-jee-AHN-a pronuncation.
[name]Bryony[/name] [name]Elise[/name] - Not a big fan of [name]Bryony[/name], but it’s nice with [name]Elise[/name].
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] - so elegant and classic!
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Louise[/name] “[name]Edie[/name]” - [name]Lovely[/name]!
[name]Cornelia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] “[name]Cora[/name]” - I don’t like [name]Cornelia[/name]. I’d prefer [name]Cordelia[/name]. But [name]Ivy[/name] is so so lovely.
[name]Emilia[/name] [name]Auguste[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]!
[name]Gwendolen[/name] [name]Hermione[/name] - I feel as though this name would sound better as two different names.
[name]Lyra[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] - So adorable!
[name]Thalia[/name] Glorianne - I don’t like either name, but they go well together.

Beautiful!

[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Felicity[/name] - I don’t love either name, although [name]Amelia[/name] is growing on me, but I think they sound beautiful together
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Marie[/name] - Gorgeous! I think I prefer the jor-jee-AHN-a pronunciation
[name]Bryony[/name] [name]Elise[/name] - I have a terrible association with [name]Bryony[/name], but it’s nice, and I love [name]Elise[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] - This is so regal and feminine, but also classic! I love it!
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Louise[/name] - I’ve been loving [name]Edith[/name] lately, especially the nickname [name]Edie[/name]! [name]Louise[/name] is alright, but it sounds great with [name]Edith[/name]
[name]Cornelia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] - Absolutely beautiful! [name]Cornelia[/name] is such a gorgeous name! I’d use the nickname [name]Nelly[/name] but [name]Cora[/name] is wonderful!
[name]Emilia[/name] [name]Auguste[/name] - I love [name]Emilia[/name], significantly more than [name]Amelia[/name], and I love [name]Auguste[/name] paired with it!
[name]Gwendolen[/name] [name]Hermione[/name] - I don’t love the [name]Gwen[/name]-/[name]Gwyn[/name]- names at all, but I love [name]Hermione[/name]
[name]Lyra[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] - Beautiful! I love the space association with [name]Lyra[/name]
[name]Thalia[/name] Glorianne - I don’t love Glorianne, but I like that it has meaning for you. [name]Thalia[/name] is gorgeous!

I like [name]Amelia[/name] nn [name]Amy[/name], [name]Felicity[/name] is an alright name imo. Not bad but not great.
I much prefer the pronunciation: Jor-Jee-AHN-a [name]Marie[/name], is far too commonly used a middle name for me. It’s like a spacefiller to me now.
[name]Bryony[/name], I don’t like at all. I like [name]Briar[/name]-[name]Rose[/name], but not [name]Bryony[/name], [name]Brynn[/name] etc. [name]Elise[/name], I love.
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] is lovely, but I’d switch it to [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name].
I don’t like [name]Edith[/name], [name]Louise[/name] is nice!
[name]Cornelia[/name] I do not like, I like [name]Cordelia[/name] far more. [name]Ivy[/name] is nice.
[name]Emilia[/name] is a lovely replacement to [name]Emily[/name]/[name]Emma[/name]/ I don’t like [name]Auguste[/name] though. Too masculine and dusty for a girl imo.
[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Gwendolen[/name], but I like the spelling [name]Gwendolyn[/name] more. I love [name]Hermione[/name], but I think with [name]Gwendolen[/name] it’s too much.
[name]Lyra[/name] I don’t like. [name]Love[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] with an s.
[name]Thalia[/name] is okay, I like [name]Nathalia[/name], or [name]Talia[/name] more. Glorianne I dislike it.

You’ve got great taste.
