[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts on each

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] - elegant, stylish and simple. It’s summery and sparkly but mature too

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] - a little long for me and the sounds get twisted

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] - these two together feel very vintage yet very fresh, sharp, bright with a hint of the regal

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Jade[/name_u] - solid and modern but it doesn’t quite sing like some of the others

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f] - unexpected somehow, yet gorgeous. Vibrant and lovely. Also nn [name_f]Posey[/name_f] would be cute for this

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Freya[/name_f] - quite nice - strong and mythical

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] - classic and solid, but there’s something slightly off about the flow

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f] - strong and quietly bold. I like the idea of the meaning, faithful weaver, a hard worker etc

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] - this has a literary, fable-like feel, sleek and elegant

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] - sophisticated and very [name_f]British[/name_f] is vibe

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] - quite sweet and warm and earthy

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] - solid and flows well, but doesn’t sparkle

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] - I like the romantic, elegant feel but I’d much prefer the spelling [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] - I can’t quite decide whether it’s a bit tongue-twistery or fun and zippy. It has nice imagery though

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - solid and quite nice but I don’t love it

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] - I feel similarly to this as I did with [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. But I think I quite like this - strong but sweet

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] - classic but fresh, frilly but strong

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] - they flow but don’t sit comfortably together for me?

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] - classic, sweet and solid

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] - same vibes as [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but brighter, sharper and charming

Over all, I think my top choices are:

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f]

I don’t have a lot of thoughts but [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f] is sticking out to me, that’s definitely my favorite. Very bright and happy feel.

I love [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] so [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] + pretty much anything is going to be viewed highly by me! To be really thorough for you, these are my thoughts on the combos as if I was considering them for my own use.

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u].
Overall impression - sunshine vibes mixed with old Hollywood glamour.
Flow - sounds good, although I find that the N ending in [name_u]June[/name_u] makes the combo fall a little flat. It’s separated from the N in [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] by a syllable, but because the emphasis is on that N, there’s still something about it I want to change. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u] has more lilt for example.
Other - I like that neither name contains an A sound.

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
Overall impression - light and bright and retro. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] highlights Amelia’s historic use for me rather than her current popularity.
Flow - ok, but them both being 4 syllables (the way I PN [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] anyway) makes them clash a little. I am bearing in mind that this could be offset by the last name.
Other - lacks a little balance in genre. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] & [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] are very similar types of name for me so they’re missing the joy of complementary styles, e.g. I’d like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]River[/name_u] more.

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
Overall impression - stunning!
Flow - excellent, so many complementary sounds, I think it sounds so vibrant.
Other - I really like the comparatively relaxed [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] with the pizazz of [name_f]Violet[/name_f] with her sharp V and T. (My synaesthesia colours this name cobalt blue & deep purple which is one of my favourite colour schemes.)

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Jade[/name_u]
Overall - ok but it isn’t sparkling
Flow - sounds very good but seems to fall a lil flat. Maybe I don’t like one syllable/consonant ending middles with [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]? But I love [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Tess[/name_f]! Idk the technical term but perhaps I’m not a fan of the ‘closed consonant’ endings.
Other - in a full name [name_u]Jade[/name_u] would be a stepping stone to the last name which might be a whole different impression.

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f]
Overall - so much sunshine!
Flow - I really like these two together

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Freya[/name_f]
Overall - ooh! What a great pairing. Fairly different names, from different traditions of course, giving powerful woman archetype galore.
Flow - I find a plethora of Ls & Rs a bit of a mouthful, but I don’t trip over this pairing & it’s not a double first name so I wouldn’t consider this an issue
Other - [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_f]Freya[/name_f] both sound gentle & quirky & it makes them go very well together.

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u]
Overall impression - I think these sound brilliant together. I don’t even usually like [name_u]Louise[/name_u] but I love her here with [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]! I’m getting artsy vibes :art: with [name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_u]March[/name_u] in [name_u]Paris[/name_u] in the most recent [name_m]Little[/name_m] Women film imagery.
Flow - tip top! Melodious. [name_u]Love[/name_u] those Ls.
Other - these two bring out the best in one another. [name_u]Louise[/name_u] isn’t a boring filler with [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] & [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] dances with [name_u]Louise[/name_u].

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f]
Overall - I find this a really nice pairing
Flow - I think it sound great
Other - the combo gives me yellow and blue colouring, like the sea and sand. This, along with Penelope’s mythological namesake, make me think of Penelope’s faith that her husband would come home. It’s not the most feminist allegory but it’s one of the more palatable stories behind women’s mythology.

I’m aiming to continue this after work

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
Overall impression: very vintage
Flow - is really nice
Other - I find them quite similar names. They magnify each other’s old skool, quite upper class vibe. I find [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] has more wow factor, for example.

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
Overall - as above, very vintage, but I like this one more. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] has quite cheeky, playful vibe to her, perhaps because of [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].
Flow - perfect! I love the O ending.

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u]
Overall - gorgeous! Sweet and sassy.
Flow - they sound great together

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
Overall - stunning! [name_u]Bright[/name_u], sweet and elegant. This combo makes me really happy, it’s adorable.
Flow - I think these sound wonderful together

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
Overall - the spelling of [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] throws me off a little, I think partly because I prefer [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and because this spelling gives both names 8 letters & I like a bit more contrast.
Flow - excellent! I’m a big fan of how this combo sounds.

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]
Overall - lovely imagery - a lily pond in summer
Flow - too vowely and too many Ls for me to say it easily!
Other - I adore [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] as siblings or the combo the other way around - [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f].

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
Overall - it’s nice but that’s the strongest adjective I’ve got.
Flow - same as above

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
Overall - sweet, not very spirited
Flow - not bad at all but I’d prefer not to put an L initial with [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
Other - very blue imagery (again, mostly a synaesthetic thing)

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
Overall - lovely! [name_u]Bright[/name_u], studious, fun!
Flow - :ok_hand:t3:

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
Overall - quite different names that don’t seem to sit well together. I’ve realised, doing this, that I find [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] a cool-tone name. To me, [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] is the opposite (Penelope is in a floppy hat and sunglasses, reading a book by the pool, casually dipping a toe into the water [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] has rosy cheeks by the fireside in a woolly cardigan) so I have a difficult time marrying these two together!
Flow - is great.

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
Overall - yay! [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f].
Flow - yay! All good.
Other - I love [name_f]Rose[/name_f]! And I love her with [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. I love the contrast of the syllables. I think [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] brings out Rose’s groundedness. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] has such an unusual collection of sounds, she’s a bit of an enigma, then along comes rose - familiar with instant classic imagery and symbolism.

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
Overall - Jarring and idk why!
Flow - I don’t like how they sound but I don’t think that’s anything other than personal preference.
Other - I prefer [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] so perhaps what jars is the ee going into the long I???
