Opinions on my list, please

The middle names all come straight from our crazy family tree, believe it or not.

If she’s a girl:

[name]Willow[/name] [name]Cloud[/name]
[name]Willow[/name] Michelet (MIsh-a-lay)
[name]Willow[/name] [name]Rain[/name]
[name]Willow[/name] Sabika
[name]Willow[/name] Adelhaid (A-del-hide)
[name]Willow[/name] [name]Aquitaine[/name]
[name]Willow[/name] Kimbrough
[name]Willow[/name] [name]Lieselotte[/name]
[name]Willow[/name] Bean

If he’s a boy:

[name]River[/name] Wyly
[name]River[/name] Rooke
[name]River[/name] [name]Berlin[/name]
[name]River[/name] [name]Raleigh[/name]
[name]River[/name] [name]Clove[/name]
[name]River[/name] [name]Lark[/name]
[name]River[/name] Fray
[name]River[/name] [name]Sumner[/name]
[name]River[/name] [name]Lotus[/name]

This would be how I’d rank them:

[name]Willow[/name] Michelet (MIsh-a-lay) – MY FAV i do worry it wont be pronounced correctly
[name]Willow[/name] [name]Rain[/name] (flows nice and good imagery)
[name]Willow[/name] Sabika (fun and fiesty)
[name]Willow[/name] Adelhaid (A-del-hide) (has a very southern feel)
[name]Willow[/name] [name]Lieselotte[/name] (like the repeat of the o sound)
[name]Willow[/name] [name]Cloud[/name] (seems like too much)
[name]Willow[/name] Bean (cute)
[name]Willow[/name] [name]Aquitaine[/name] (reminds me of aquafina water)
[name]Willow[/name] Kimbrough (clunky)

[name]River[/name] [name]Sumner[/name] (I like it because it seems a bit of the moment with an -er ending)
[name]River[/name] [name]Lotus[/name] (flows well)
[name]River[/name] [name]Berlin[/name] (strong sounding)
[name]River[/name] Fray (contemporary sounding)
[name]River[/name] [name]Clove[/name] (clunky)
[name]River[/name] [name]Lark[/name] (too much of a bird name with river as the fn)
[name]River[/name] Wyly (not a fan of the spelling)
[name]River[/name] [name]Raleigh[/name] (too many r’s - it runs into each other)
[name]River[/name] Rooke (too many r’s)

I had a coworker name her daughter (now 3) [name]Willow[/name]. It had to grow on me because I’d only ever known girls named [name]Willa[/name] (short for [name]Willamina[/name]). Now i think it’s a perfectly suitable name for a little girl. Personally i like [name]Willow[/name] Michelet (MIsh-a-lay) the best. It may be hard to pronounce, but that’s why it’s a middle name! .

For a boy I’d pick [name]River[/name] [name]Lark[/name]. [name]Lark[/name] is one of my favorite names for a girl, but I think it would work equally well for a boy’s mn, especially one with such a nature centered name like [name]River[/name].

My husband is convinced the baby is a girl and he is in love with
[name]Willow[/name] Michelet

Incidentally, my husband’s family is directly descendant from [name]John[/name] [name]Jacob[/name] Mickley - the dude that moved the [name]Liberty[/name] [name]Bell[/name] when the British invaded. The name Mickley was originally Michelet in [name]France[/name].

Keep 'em coming - I love the feedback!

What do you think of reserving the middle name as a descriptive for the birth itself? We plan on welcoming baby number 2 to the family right here in our own nest. If he/she is born at say sunset, we could call her:
[name]Willow[/name] Sunset or
[name]River[/name] Sunset

OR at midnight:
[name]Willow[/name] [name]Midnight[/name]
[name]River[/name] [name]Midnight[/name]

Other lovely options (me thinks):
Dusk
[name]Dawn[/name] (only for a girl)
Sunup
Sundown
Noonan (just kidding)

I know, I’m weird.
