I’ve been browsing Nameberry for awhile, and finally today decided to create an account for some opinions. You can be totally honest, I don’t mind–also wouldn’t mind some fresh ideas. I’m only 4 months pregnant, but it wouldn’t hurt to have some idea what the baby is going to be called.
I already have two kiddos, [name]Mara[/name] and [name]Henry[/name]. The one I’m expecting is probably going to be the last.
So here is the list-
Girls:
[name]Ruby[/name]-I love it. Pretty and chic.
[name]Alice[/name]-This is hubby’s favourite. I like it, but I had a friend called Alice. So I don’t know.
[name]June[/name]-Popped in our heads the other day, its quite nice.
Boys:
[name]Felix[/name]-Love it, Hubby isn’t sure.
[name]Simon[/name]-It was in our top 2 when we had Henry.
[name]Hi[/name] there! I think you have some great choices here. I am a big fan of [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Alice[/name], [name]June[/name] and [name]Felix[/name] - not so much on [name]Simon[/name], for me, though. For my part, I prefer that the sound of each child’s name be distinct (which is probably my own personal neurosis caused by being named [name]Erin[/name] and having a brother called [name]Eric[/name]!). For that reason I’d tend to rule out [name]Ruby[/name] since it has the same ending as [name]Henry[/name].
[name]June[/name] & [name]Simon[/name] are both in my top 5. I think they’re great! I love [name]Alice[/name], too, and I think [name]Felix[/name] is quite nice.

I’m loving [name]June[/name] and [name]Simon[/name] with [name]Mara[/name] and [name]Henry[/name]. I also like the suggestion of [name]Violet[/name]. I think [name]Liv[/name], [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Gwen[/name], [name]Cate[/name], [name]Laurel[/name], and [name]Tess[/name] could work too.
I really like [name]Alice[/name] with [name]Mara[/name] and [name]Henry[/name]. Sounds good together without sounding samey. I like [name]Felix[/name] a lot too.
Wow, I absolutely love most of the names on your list with [name]Mara[/name] and [name]Henry[/name]! (BTW, what lovely names your children have!) I especially love [name]Ruby[/name] and [name]Simon[/name] with [name]Mara[/name] and [name]Henry[/name]. I love the suggestions of [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Grace[/name], and I think something like [name]Jack[/name], [name]Elliot[/name], or [name]Oliver[/name] would be lovely, as well. As for girls, maybe [name]Juliet[/name]/[name]Julia[/name], or [name]Olive[/name]?

[name]Alice[/name]- I really like this. It’s a nice change from the Alyssas, Allisons and Alicias I grew up with!
[name]June[/name]- It’s not bad. I think I prefer it as a nice middle name though.
Boys:
[name]Felix[/name]- I think it’s nice (I like it way more than say, [name]Dexter[/name], which has a similar feel) but I honestly think I like it better on a pet. Not sure why.
[name]Simon[/name]- Nice!
Here are some suggestions I have… sorry if they’ve been mentioned already!
My favorite are [name]Ruby[/name], [name]June[/name] and [name]Felix[/name]. I really dislike [name]Alice[/name], I find it very stale. [name]Simon[/name] I am not a fan of either.
But if I have to pick one from each, I’d go with [name]June[/name] for a girl, [name]Simon[/name] for a boy. [name]Mara[/name], [name]Henry[/name], and [name]June[/name] is just such a cute combo (cuter than [name]Alice[/name], my second favorite girl name). And I prefer [name]Simon[/name] to [name]Felix[/name], although both are fun and would fit well with his siblings.
EDIT: Just saw the second post with middle names and the updated list. I LOVE June Aurelia, and Simon Emil is very nice.
