Opinions on my list

My husband and I are planning on trying for our first baby soon. I have been bombarding my poor husband with names for months now that I know a real baby will be coming soon. I have always been a name person and have lists for years but half the fun of names I think is to hear what others think. I would love to hear your opinion on the names we have chosen.

[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] (I finally got my husband to agree to [name]Juliet[/name] after 6 years, [name]JUliet[/name] is my favorite name of all time)
[name]Keira[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Vivianne[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Alexis[/name]
[name]Lilianna[/name] (cant think of a middle name we both like)

[name]Drake[/name] [name]Robert[/name]
Maddex [name]Asher[/name]
[name]Eli[/name] [name]Cole[/name]
[name]Noah[/name] (cant think of a middle name we both like)

[name]Grace[/name], [name]Robert[/name], and [name]Asher[/name] are family names we like and want to use.

These are the names my husband and I can agree on…or these are the names I like that my husband doesn’t detest.

Other names I love that my husband does not are

Thanks for looking. And I am always curious but what you would you categorize my naming style as?

[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name]: I think [name]Juliet[/name] is a gorgeous name, and it’s one of my favorites, too. [name]Rose[/name] is one of my other favorite names, so I also like [name]Rosalie[/name]. [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] is beautiful.

[name]Vivianne[/name] [name]Grace[/name]: I love [name]Vivienne[/name], and [name]Vivianne[/name] is pretty, too. (I first fell in love with it when I saw the Ya Ya Sisterhood movie.) Be prepared to deal with spelling and pronunciation issues, though, as I’m sure she’ll be mistaken for a Vivenne.

[name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Esme[/name]

[name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Simone[/name]
[name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name]

[name]Lilianna[/name]: I love [name]Lilianna[/name], but spelled [name]Liliana[/name]. [name]Lila[/name] is gorgeous, too!

[name]Liliana[/name] [name]Simone[/name]

[name]Drake[/name] [name]Robert[/name]: I’m not a fan of [name]Drake[/name] (I’m sorry!), because a drake is a male duck.

Maddex [name]Asher[/name]: Did you mean [name]Maddox[/name] or Maddex? Either way, I’m not a fan. :frowning: [name]Both[/name] are trendy names, and you’ll be sure to hear, “As in [name]Angelina[/name]'s son?”

[name]Eli[/name] [name]Cole[/name]: [name]Eli[/name] is a nice name, although I prefer [name]Elias[/name]. I’m not a fan of [name]Cole[/name], but it does sound nice with [name]Eli[/name].

You said you’d like to use [name]Robert[/name], and [name]Eli[/name] [name]Robert[/name]/[name]Elias[/name] [name]Robert[/name] is a great name!

[name]Noah[/name]: [name]Noah[/name] is definitely my favorite from your boys’ names!

[name]Noah[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]

[name]Bianca[/name]: [name]Bianca[/name] is a lovely name…

[name]Violet[/name]: I love [name]Violet[/name], too. It’s too bad your husband isn’t a fan!

[name]Ruby[/name]: Another lovely name…

[name]Melody[/name]: I’m not a fan of [name]Melody[/name], although I do like [name]Elodie[/name] very much.

[name]Tristan[/name]: This name is just too feminine for me…
[name]Xavier[/name]: I love [name]Xavier[/name]!
[name]Baron[/name]: Not a fan of [name]Barron[/name]…

Some more names you may like:

[name]Esme[/name] (ez-may)
[name]Gemma[/name] (jem-ma)
[name]Isla[/name] (eye-la)

As for your style, it seems pretty eclectic. You like a little bit of everything (classic, vintage, Biblical, trendy, etc.), and there’s nothing wrong with that. It seems that if you like a name, you like it, regardless of its classification. For your girls’ names, however, the dominant theme is one of sophistication and elegance, with an exotic touch.

[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] - [name]Juliet[/name] is such a gorgeous name! I’m not sure what I think about it with [name]Rosalie[/name]. I think I like [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Rose[/name] better. It depends on your last name, and it will be interesting to see what the other posters think. Often I change my mind after a while, too, so maybe within a day or two I will probably love [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name]!

[name]Keira[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] - this is a departure from [name]Juliet[/name]'s classic style, but [name]Keira[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] is very pretty, too!

[name]Vivianne[/name] [name]Grace[/name] - I would spell the first name either [name]Vivian[/name] or [name]Vivienne[/name]. This is absolutely gorgeous!

[name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Alexis[/name] - I love the name [name]Lorelei[/name], but it is an extreme name, so I wouldn’t want it for myself. I used to have a very unusual name, and I got very tired of it. It’s like wearing a really unusual outfit every day. Sometimes you just want to wear something cozy that doesn’t stand out. I think [name]Alexis[/name] is a bit dated.

[name]Lilianna[/name] (cant think of a middle name we both like) I prefer [name]Lillian[/name], but [name]Lilianna[/name] is pretty, too.

[name]Drake[/name] [name]Robert[/name] - [name]Drake[/name] means male duck, and that’s all I think of. It has a nice sound though. I prefer [name]Duke[/name].

Maddex [name]Asher[/name] - I prefer the spelling [name]Maddox[/name]. But I don’t care for [name]Maddox[/name]. It feels really gruff and contemporary to me.

[name]Eli[/name] [name]Cole[/name] - I would lengthen [name]Eli[/name] to [name]Elijah[/name]. [name]Elijah[/name] [name]Cole[/name] - so cute! Nickname could be [name]Eli[/name].

[name]Noah[/name] - absolutely love [name]Noah[/name]! [name]Will[/name] think of a middle name soon. Okay, I’m coming back to think of a nickname for [name]Noah[/name]. [name]Noah[/name] [name]James[/name], [name]Noah[/name] [name]Charles[/name], [name]Noah[/name] [name]Robert[/name]. I like [name]Noah[/name] combined with a classic name that has a consonant at the beginning of the name. [name]Don[/name]'t like [name]Noah[/name] [name]Asher[/name] as well. But it’s okay.

You say, [name]Grace[/name], [name]Robert[/name], and [name]Asher[/name] are family names we like and want to use.
I’m wondering, do you want to have second middles?

Other names I love that my husband does not are

[name]Bianca[/name] - would be pretty with [name]Grace[/name]

[name]Xavier[/name] - [name]Xavier[/name] [name]Robert[/name], nice!

The names you love are fun, too! I especially love [name]Bianca[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Violet[/name], and [name]Xavier[/name].

Your naming style is eclectic because you love all kinds of names - classic ([name]Juliet[/name]), contemporary ([name]Keira[/name], [name]Drake[/name]), exotic ([name]Lorelei[/name], [name]Xavier[/name]), and biblical ([name]Eli[/name], [name]Noah[/name]). Look at your favorite things in your house - your favorite clothes, furniture, or if you don’t like your stuff, what is the style you wish you had? That will give you a clue about what your favorite naming style is. You can ask your best friends what they think your style is. I suspect [name]Juliet[/name] (gorgeous classic) is your lifelong style. Biblical fits well with gorgeous classic, but contemporary doesn’t really go with [name]Juliet[/name]. If you want to have more kids later, it’s good to pick a name for your first baby that will set a precedent that you love.

[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name]: love [name]Juliet[/name]! I like [name]Rosalie[/name], but I think I like [name]Rosamund[/name] better with [name]Juliet[/name]. [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Rosamund[/name] just seems like the epitome of loveliness
[name]Keira[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]: I like the flow of this one, but the name [name]Keira[/name] isn’t my personal favorite. I absolutely love [name]Noelle[/name] though.
[name]Vivianne[/name] [name]Grace[/name]: Like [name]Susan[/name], I would use either [name]Vivian[/name] or [name]Vivienne[/name]. [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Grace[/name] is fantastic.
[name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Alexis[/name]: this one doesn’t seem to work as well as some of your other choices
[name]Lilianna[/name]: Very pretty. I love [name]Lilianna[/name] [name]Grace[/name] or [name]Lillianna[/name] [name]Celeste[/name]

[name]Drake[/name] [name]Robert[/name]: [name]Drake[/name] is cute. [name]How[/name] many syllables are in your last name? For some reason I want to put a second middle with this. Maybe [name]Drake[/name] [name]Robert[/name] [name]Cole[/name]?
Maddex [name]Asher[/name]: I’m afraid the [name]Jolie[/name]-Pitts have ruined this name for me :frowning: It just feels too trendy. I love [name]Asher[/name] though, would you consider using it as a first?
[name]Eli[/name] [name]Cole[/name]: Like [name]Drake[/name] [name]Robert[/name], I want to put a third name with this one. [name]Eli[/name] [name]Asher[/name] [name]Cole[/name], [name]Eli[/name] [name]Robert[/name] [name]Cole[/name]? I don’t know…I also like [name]Susan[/name]'s suggestion of [name]Elijah[/name] [name]Cole[/name]”very nice!
[name]Noah[/name]: I love [name]Noah[/name]! [name]Noah[/name] [name]Robert[/name] works, but [name]Noah[/name] [name]James[/name] is even better. Although again, it depends on how many syllables are in your last name.

Of your favorites, I really like [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Tristan[/name]. [name]Violet[/name] [name]Grace[/name] is cute, as is [name]Tristan[/name] [name]Robert[/name].

Best of luck! You have some really great choices.

I like [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Grace[/name] & [name]Eli[/name] [name]Cole[/name]/ [name]Noah[/name] [name]Asher[/name]

You have such a great selection!

[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] This is beyond beautiful!
[name]Keira[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] I like [name]Keira[/name], pretty
[name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Alexis[/name] I’ve been thinking a lot about this name lately. It is so pretty. But I don’t know if it is something I could actually name my kid - hmm, just can’t decide.
[name]Eli[/name] [name]Cole[/name] [name]Love[/name] [name]Eli[/name], and also someone elses suggestion of [name]Elias[/name]. [name]Eli[/name] [name]Cole[/name] sounds great.
[name]Noah[/name] Another great name. Would you like [name]Noah[/name] [name]Robert[/name] or [name]Noah[/name] [name]Asher[/name]? I really like [name]Noah[/name] [name]Asher[/name].

My son is named [name]Noah[/name] [name]Michael[/name].

I also love [name]Juliet[/name]-sounds very pretty and classic. I also like [name]Noelle[/name].

I agree. [name]Juliet[/name] is a beautiful name, as is [name]Noelle[/name].

My husband dislikes most of the names i like also

[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] - very pretty
[name]Keira[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] - cute- very close to a name i was considering…[name]Kaia[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Vivianne[/name] [name]Grace[/name] - cute
[name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Alexis[/name] - not my style
[name]Lilianna[/name] - [name]How[/name] about [name]Liliana[/name] [name]Rome[/name], [name]Liliana[/name] [name]Rose[/name]

[name]Liliana[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] are my favorites

[name]Drake[/name] [name]Robert[/name] -not my style
Maddex [name]Asher[/name] - like asher
[name]Eli[/name] [name]Cole[/name] - like this
[name]Noah[/name] - [name]Noah[/name] [name]Rhys[/name], [name]Noah[/name] [name]Riley[/name]

[name]Grace[/name], [name]Robert[/name], and [name]Asher[/name] are family names we like and want to use.

[name]Liliana[/name] [name]Grace[/name], [name]Vivianne[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] is beautiful, [name]How[/name] about [name]Eli[/name] [name]Asher[/name], [name]Eli[/name] [name]Xavier[/name], [name]Asher[/name] [name]Noel[/name], [name]Asher[/name] [name]Noah[/name]

[name]IMO[/name] your style seems to be mix of modern and classic.

I like [name]Juliette[/name], but [name]Rosalie[/name] is clearly one you heard in twilight, which I don’t suggest using because it might gain a lot of popularity. Try talking your hubby into [name]Violet[/name] again, I love it!

[name]Rosalie[/name] is a beautiful name and I am sure the OP simply likes it. Contrary to your belief that the world revolves around Twilight, most grown women have not read it.

If you like the name please don’t refrain from using it just because it is ina a teen novel! Now THAT would be silly.

I did actually hear [name]Rosalie[/name] from Twilight but I don’t think that should change why I choose the name. After all I got [name]Juliet[/name] from a story too. As it is I love names from books as I love reading. I think [name]Rosalie[/name] was a beautiful name that just got a boost from the Twilight series. Its a name my husband and I both thought was lovely and wanted to use to grace our future daughter.

[name]Rosalie[/name] is a lovely name, and I actually grew up with two Rosalies, both of whom loved their names.

[name]Lilianna[/name] is so cute i suggest middle names for you:

I love [name]Noah[/name] suggest middle names for you:

[name]Just[/name] wondering- how did you get your husband to finally agree to [name]Juliet[/name]? I love the name, but my husband is not a fan. I’ve tried nagging him about it- hasn’t gotten me too far though

[name]Juliet[/name] is my favorite favorite name since I was a child. I am a big literary fan as I love reading and if I could I would have a [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Tristan[/name], [name]Guinevere[/name], [name]Heathcliff[/name], etc. Well maybe not all of them but I do love [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Tristan[/name] as a sibset but DH naturally vetoes it. For him [name]Juliet[/name] is a tragic teenage girl and he couldn’t see the name on a real person. Then we learned a character in a show he liked was named [name]Juliet[/name] but went by [name]Jules[/name]. The character is a cop so I think it made him see that the name doesn’t make the person rather the person makes the name so he gave in. He did stipulate he gets to choose all the other kids names but he mostly is using the names I picked so it wasn’t such a big sacrifice on my part. Best of luck I adore [name]Juliet[/name].

[name]Juliet[/name] is beyond gorgeous, and I can certainly relate to being a literary fan. Have you decided [name]Juliet[/name]'s middle name?

Psych! That’s one of my favorite shows! And actually it’s how I got my husband to consider the name [name]James[/name] (that’s the name of the actor that plays [name]Shawn[/name]), AND it’s the reason that we like the name [name]Gus[/name]. Great show! And [name]Jules[/name] is a great character!

[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] is a beautiful name! Congratulations such a wonderful pick!

Yes the show was Psych! I never really was a fan but he got me into it recently (even though the season ended now) Thats so funny that characters sometimes help change people’s perceptions of names.
