[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - This is a stately name, one worn by queens and princesses, but because of its extensive and vast history, I feel like it is overused. Though it is a gorgeous name, I prefer its cousins [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] and [name_f]Aleksandra[/name_f].
[name_f]Adela[/name_f] - I really like this name. It makes me think of the little girl from [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Eyre[/name_f].
[name_f]Celina[/name_f] - I do not like this spelling. I like both Silena and [name_f]Selena[/name_f] (and even [name_f]Selene[/name_f]), but I can’t get behind the [name_f]Celine[/name_f]/[name_f]Celina[/name_f]'s. They look fake to me, even though I know they are legitimate spellings.
[name_f]Carolina[/name_f] (lee-nah) - I go back and forth with this name. I do not like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], but [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] is a pretty name. I do like the [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-nah prn. better, because it seems more intuitive, but there is also the complication of the states being prn. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]-[name_m]AH[/name_m].
[name_f]Catarina[/name_f] - I like this name, and it’s probably one of the ones I like the best out of the [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] family. It’s a beautiful, melodic choice.
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] - I am not a fan of this name if its pronounced [name_f]Eve[/name_f]-a, but I really like it if its pronounced like [name_f]Ava[/name_f] (ironically I don’t like the [name_f]Ava[/name_f] spelling). Its a solid, noble choice.
[name_f]Elena[/name_f] - This name is okay. Its what my cousins wife calls me (she is Mexican), but I do tend to prefer [name_f]Helena[/name_f] or [name_f]Alaina[/name_f] to it.
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - I love this name. Though it is a longer, more involved name, the repeating v’s are beautiful (and all of the nn possibilities are killer!).
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] - I adore this name! (I am biased though
) Its elegant and pretty, and a little girlier and frillier than [name_f]Helen[/name_f] (my name).
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] - This is a pretty, effortless nature name. I think it works best in the middle spot, but with a longer middle it would be a cute first name too.
[name_f]Julia[/name_f] - This is a beautiful name. Out of the whole [name_u]Julie[/name_u] family, this is my personal favourite.
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] - This name is sort of blah to me. I have a couple different cousins with this name, so I hear it all the time, and the Lyd part is unattractive to me.
[name_f]Laura[/name_f] - I like this name. It reminds me of [name_f]Laura[/name_f] Ingalls [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], a woman who wrote a series of books my mom read to me when I was a kid. She was an inspiration and a true pioneer.
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] (loo-see-ah) - I love this name! This is also my preferred pronunciation. While I do tend to favour other [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] names (like [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Luciana[/name_f]), this one is simple and elegant.
[name_f]Leah[/name_f] - Another beautiful name, and a favourite of mine. It’s a simple, yet lovely name.
[name_f]Monica[/name_f] - I still see this as a “mom name”, but that’s because the only ladies I know with it are my moms age (or [name_f]Monica[/name_f] from Friends.
[name_f]Susanna[/name_f] - This is one of my oldest favourites (spl. [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]), and a very beautiful name.
[name_f]Sofia[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Sofia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. It’s a popular name for a reason, and I think its beautiful and princess-y, if a little overused.
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f] - This is a very sophisticated, queenly name. The only nn I personally like for it is [name_f]Vika[/name_f], but I think (like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]) it can work just fine without a nn.
