[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!
I am expecting a baby girl and would love some opinions on the names I have chosen. I’m trying to go for something cute, but still simple/not wildly uncommon. I am also half Croatian, so some names are partly inspired by that. Any opinions (no matter how harsh) are welcome!
Kennedy/Mackenzie (Kenzie)
Adelie/Adalia (Ada)
[name_f]Mila[/name_f]
Klaudia/Claudia
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_u]Welcome[/name_u] It’s a very pretty list!
I’ll rank them ~
[name_f]Adelie[/name_f] / [name_f]Adalia[/name_f] ‘Ada’ - definitely my favourite, so so pretty! Feels international, feminine but not frilly, and has a great meaning ‘noble’
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - I know quite a few baby Clementines (usually known as ‘Clemmy’) in the U.K., it feels on trend but classic at the same time.
[name_f]Klaudia[/name_f] / [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] - strong but dreamy (probably because it reminds me of clouds).
[name_f]Mila[/name_f] - short, sweet, sleek and elegant, it reminds me of ballet.
[name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] / [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] - personally not really into surname names, but I do like the preppy feel of [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u].
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is lovely, and [name_f]Klaudia[/name_f] / [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] are wonderful too. I’m especially excited to see the K spelling! I also love the spunky vibe of [name_f]Adelie[/name_f]. Overall, you can’t go wrong with this list
Congratulations on your baby girl
[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts on your list
Kennedy/Mackenzie ~ I’m not keen on names with a harsh ‘k’ sound which includes [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] & [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] they really aren’t my cup of tea. However I can see the appeal they feel fashionable and fun with a 90s flair. From these two my favourite is [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u].
Adelie/Adalia ~ Both names are pretty, sweet, European and has a quirky international flair. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite from these two options is [name_f]Adelie[/name_f] she just has a delicate sound very pretty.
[name_f]Mila[/name_f] ~ a lovely sweet fashionable name with a pretty endearing sound with a lovely meaning ‘gracious;dear’. A gorgeous Slavic choice that feels very vogue.
Klaudia/Claudia ~ [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] is my preferred spelling she’s an unexpected classic that feels tailored, smart and elegant. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though she isn’t my favourite I can completely appreciate the beauty of her.
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] ~ my favourite from the list! I have such a soft spot for [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] I think she’s beautiful, classic, fruity and wholesome. [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is a fashion darling where I am and I really enjoy encountering them. [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is just gorgeous.
From this list I would use [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] as I just love her with all my heart.
She’s a firm favourite
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps
[name_f]Mila[/name_f] would be my favorite
— Opinion on the rest —
Kennedy/Mackenzie (Kenzie) — I like both of these names, but I feel they are both becoming dated… part of the whole [name_u]Alexis[/name_u], [name_u]Madison[/name_u], [name_u]Addison[/name_u] trend off the heels of [name_f]Jessica[/name_f]. For [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] especially, as [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] is far more lovely (to me). They are both nice names, however, but I don’t find them very on-point with the trends as the other names on your list.
Adelie/Adalia (Ada) — Beautiful!! [name_f]Ada[/name_f] is such a gorgeous name, and being paired with the options is inspired. [name_f]Adelie[/name_f] would be my favorite! It is an unfamiliar name with enough ties to [name_f]Adele[/name_f] and company that it is recognized.
[name_f]Mila[/name_f] — I just love this name so much! It’s on-point with the “L” sounds that are making today’s charts, yet not overly done. It is such a beautiful name that feels princess-y without being frilly, and strong without being anywhere near masculine. It’s also a sweet nickname for [name_f]Camila[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], etc.
Klaudia/Claudia — [name_f]Klaudia[/name_f] looks made up to me, but [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] is lovely. It is antiquated in a way that isn’t overly “aged” like [name_f]Karen[/name_f] or [name_f]Susan[/name_f], but not overly popular either, like [name_f]Emma[/name_f] or with the potential to get there as of now, such as [name_u]Hazel[/name_u].
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] — I agree with every PP about [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]! So lovely.
In order of favorites:
[name_f]Mila[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelie[/name_f] “Ada”
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f]
[name_u]Kennedy[/name_u]
[name_f]Adalia[/name_f] “Ada”
[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]
[name_f]Klaudia[/name_f]
[name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] - I enjoy the sound, don’t love the meaning
[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] (Kenzie) - pretty cute and stylish, though popular. I do love [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u] though
[name_f]Adelie[/name_f] - so pretty and light and fun
[name_f]Adalia[/name_f] (Ada) - slightly whimsical and lovely
[name_f]Mila[/name_f] - charming, cute and sweet but matures well
Klaudia/Claudia - solid and distinct in sound
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - beautiful, elegant and grand
[name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] list, you can’t go wrong with any of them. . [name_f]Mila[/name_f] is my favorite!!
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
Here are my thoughts-
Kennedy/Mackenzie (Kenzie)-I’ve never thought of [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] nn [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u], but that’s clever. I like [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u] more than [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] or [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u], but it’s too nick-name-y on its own. Both [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] & [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] feels too masculine and last name-y to me. I’d opt for something more traditional like [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] or [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] nn [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u]. That works, right?
Adelie/Adalia (Ada)-I think that [name_f]Adelie[/name_f] sounds kind of cute. [name_f]Adalia[/name_f] feels a bit too much. I like just [name_f]Ada[/name_f] on its own a lot though. Maybe [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] nn [name_f]Ada[/name_f]? I also like just [name_f]Adela[/name_f], which is kind of similar.
Mila-It’s really pretty & pleasant. It’s actually really popular though, so that’s something to take into consideration. I like [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] or [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Mila[/name_f].
Klaudia/Claudia-I think that the ‘C’ looks prettier. It’s not my absolute favorite name, but it’s nice and solid and smart and feminine. It’s well known but not popular.
Clementine-Love love love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. It’s one of my very favorites. So hard to say without a smile.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
I would rank them:
[name_f]Mila[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Adalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f]
[name_f]Klaudia[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelie[/name_f]
[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]
[name_u]Kennedy[/name_u]
[name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] would be a really pretty combo if you don’t have a middle name in mind.
