I don’t have any combos right now, but I was wondering if I could get your opinions on the general feeling of my signature. [name_f]Do[/name_f] the names go well together and are there any imageries that come to mind whether cultural or otherwise?
I feel like my style has changed quite a lot and while I still love some of the names I loved before ([name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], [name_f]Susannah[/name_f], [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], etc) I find myself wanting to place them in different contexts and change the nuances of the combos they are in.
If you have any suggestions for combos within my signature, please share!! I’m thinking of pairing some of them up.
sweet w/ a vintage vibe
[name_f]Sonja[/name_f], [name_f]Katya[/name_f] - exotic (and dated where I live)
[name_f]Fia[/name_f], [name_f]Calista[/name_f] - strong, modern sounding names
[name_u]Simone[/name_u] - slightly dated (in English)
[name_f]Lilac[/name_f] - new flower name, a bit harsher than lily or rose
As for combos, I like
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u], [name_f]Polly[/name_f] [name_f]Winifred[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Calista[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Lilac[/name_f], [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] [name_f]Sonja[/name_f]
[name_m]Russell[/name_m] - sweet name, I love the nn [name_m]Russ[/name_m].
[name_m]Kitt[/name_m] - it’s ok, I prefer it as a nickname for something.
[name_m]Lars[/name_m] - all I can envisage is a fairly hipster dude in a beret…
[name_m]Felix[/name_m] - love it.
[name_m]Roone[/name_m] - [name_m]Rune[/name_m]? Roo-on? [name_f]Ro[/name_f]-won? I don’t really like how it looks and I have no idea how to say it.
[name_u]Lyle[/name_u] - I prefer [name_u]Kyle[/name_u], but it’s not awful.
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] - love it.
[name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] - I like it, but I don’t like any of the nns for it.
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] - nice name, I don’t love it but it’s nice enough.
[name_m]Alistair[/name_m] - nice name, again I don’t like any of the nns though.
[name_m]Luther[/name_m] - I have a big soft spot for this name.
[name_u]Wallace[/name_u] - still feels very ‘old man’ to me.
[name_f]Lilac[/name_f] - feels pretty harsh to me, though I do like the colour.
[name_f]Fia[/name_f] - very sweet.
[name_f]Sonja[/name_f] - I prefer the spelling [name_f]Sonia[/name_f], but also I’m just not a big fan of the sound.
[name_f]Polly[/name_f] - love it.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - love it.
Esmé - I say it Ez-me. It’s nice enough, I don’t like Ez-may though.
[name_f]Katya[/name_f] - nice.
[name_u]Simone[/name_u] - I’ve never liked it, sorry. I love [name_m]Simon[/name_m], but I really can’t get on board with [name_u]Simone[/name_u].
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] - love it.
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] - it’s very nice.
[name_f]Calista[/name_f] - it’s ok, it’s never quite sung to me. I like the nn [name_f]Callie[/name_f] though.
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] - love it.
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] - love it.
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] - it just doesn’t do it for me, it’s always felt harsh.
My favorites of your names would be: [name_m]Russell[/name_m], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], [name_m]Lars[/name_m], [name_m]Luther[/name_m], and [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] for the boys and [name_f]Sonja[/name_f], [name_f]Polly[/name_f], [name_f]Katya[/name_f], [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] for the girls. I dislike [name_m]Roone[/name_m] and [name_u]Lyle[/name_u], the first for the spelling and the second for the unappealing sound. I don’t really have anything against any of your girl names.
Some combos:
Hmm, it’s a little hard to pair your boy’s names because they mostly share the same number syllables and a lot of the same sounds. Maybe expand for some middle names into names with different sounds and syllables?
