opinions on my top ten:)

Girls:

  1. [name]Shiloh[/name]
  2. [name]Cassandra[/name]/[name]Calliope[/name] “[name]Cassie[/name]”
  3. [name]Gwendolyn[/name] “[name]Wendy[/name]/[name]Gwen[/name]”
  4. [name]Autumn[/name]
  5. [name]America[/name]
  6. [name]Belle[/name]
  7. bay
  8. Copeland
  9. [name]Ursula[/name]
  10. [name]Calista[/name]
  11. [name]Lark[/name]
  12. [name]Mona[/name]
  13. [name]Aislyn[/name]
  14. [name]Lilla[/name] ([name]Lil[/name]-uh)
  15. [name]Emmaline[/name]
  16. [name]Summer[/name]
  17. [name]Rio[/name]
  18. [name]Avis[/name]
  19. [name]Hailey[/name]
  20. [name]Cecilia[/name]

Girls:

  1. [name]Shiloh[/name] - Very trendy to me. I like how it looks, but as for the sound…not so much.
  2. [name]Cassandra[/name]/[name]Calliope[/name] “[name]Cassie[/name]” - [name]Both[/name] names are alright for me. I can see [name]Cassie[/name] from [name]Cassandra[/name], but not from [name]Calliope[/name] (I see and like [name]Callie[/name] though). Have you considered [name]Calandra[/name] as a compromise of both names?
  3. [name]Gwendolyn[/name] “[name]Wendy[/name]/[name]Gwen[/name]” - Not really my style, but not bad.
  4. [name]Autumn[/name] - This is cute, but it’s not my favorite.
  5. [name]America[/name] - No. I’m not sure where you live, but I live in the states, and this just not a realistic choice. [name]America[/name] Ferrera may have pulled it off, but the everyday girl can’t.
  6. [name]Belle[/name] - It’s nice, but it wouldn’t stand out next to a sea of Bellas, Isabellas, Annabelles, etc.
  7. [name]Bay[/name] - This is okay. I like it, but I don’t think I would use it.
  8. Copeland - This isn’t a name for me. If I had to pick a gender for it, I would say boy, because he could go by [name]Copper[/name] or [name]Landon[/name].
  9. [name]Ursula[/name] - I just think of the sea witch. It doesn’t have the most pleasant sound in my ear either.
  10. [name]Calista[/name] - I prefer this with two ls ([name]Callista[/name]). I like it, it’s one of my favorite [name]Callie[/name] names.
  11. [name]Lark[/name] - Cute. It’s one of the better bird names, imo.
  12. [name]Mona[/name] - This is alright, but I also hear the ‘moan’ in the beginning.
  13. [name]Aislyn[/name] - I don’t like the spelling. I prefer [name]Aisling[/name] (ash-ling).
  14. [name]Lilla[/name] ([name]Lil[/name]-uh) - Not a fan. It sounds a little awkward to me. I prefer [name]Lily[/name] and [name]Calla[/name].
  15. [name]Emmaline[/name] - [name]Love[/name] the name, but not the spelling. I like the [name]Emmeline[/name] spelling with the em-mel-leen pronuncation.
  16. [name]Summer[/name] - This is cute, but possibly becoming very trendy.
  17. [name]Rio[/name] - I like [name]Ria[/name] better.
  18. [name]Avis[/name] - It looks like someone forgot the M to spell [name]Mavis[/name]. [name]Avis[/name] sounds incomplete to me.
  19. [name]Hailey[/name] - So, so trendy.
  20. [name]Cecilia[/name] - This is probably my favorite on your list. Classic, dainty, and familiar but not common.
  1. [name]Shiloh[/name] - Not my style. Makes me think of a dog.
  2. [name]Cassandra[/name]/[name]Calliope[/name] “[name]Cassie[/name]” - Agree with pp that [name]Cassie[/name] would not come from [name]Calliope[/name], and to me [name]Cassandra[/name] and [name]Calliope[/name] are two very different names.
  3. [name]Gwendolyn[/name] “[name]Wendy[/name]/[name]Gwen[/name]” - [name]Wendy[/name] is dated. [name]Gwendolyn[/name] is a lot of name and she probably would almost always be called by her nickname.
  4. [name]Autumn[/name] - Not a fan.
  5. [name]America[/name] - [name]Do[/name] you live in the United States? I don’t advise this name, even if you don’t.
  6. [name]Belle[/name] - Too popular.
  7. [name]Bay[/name] - I like this, mostly as a nickname. However, it does make me think of [name]Beyonce[/name].
  8. Copeland - [name]Don[/name]'t really think this translates as a good Surname as a first name. Maybe on a boy.
  9. [name]Ursula[/name] - Sea witch, Friends.
  10. [name]Calista[/name] - Flockhart. Not a fan of the name.
  11. [name]Lark[/name] - [name]One[/name] syllable names for girls can be too harsh.
  12. [name]Mona[/name] - Very plain.
  13. [name]Aislyn[/name] - Sounds too made up.
  14. [name]Lilla[/name] ([name]Lil[/name]-uh) - Like it better as [name]Lila[/name]. Or [name]Willa[/name].
  15. [name]Emmaline[/name] - There are far too many [name]Emma[/name]'s out there, and this one is right there with them.
  16. [name]Summer[/name] - Good I guess if she were born in the summer. Have also seen it spelled [name]Sommer[/name], which might separate it from that.
  17. [name]Rio[/name] - No.
  18. [name]Avis[/name] - Reminds me of the car rental place.
  19. [name]Hailey[/name] - Too dated. There will be a ton of [name]Hailey[/name]'s about 15-20 years older than she is.
  20. [name]Cecilia[/name] - This I guess if my favorite too. Still not too much of a fan for myself, but cute name nonetheless.

Overall, this was a really odd list. Not a fan of too many of them on here.

  1. [name]Shiloh[/name] - I don’t mind it as a middle name, but I’m not fond of it as a first, partly because “shy” “low” are both sort of negative connotations that I wouldn’t want to carry. What if she’s really short and introverted or the reverse?
  2. [name]Cassandra[/name]/[name]Calliope[/name] “[name]Cassie[/name]” - I like [name]Cassandra[/name] but I don’t love it. Bit too frilly for my taste. I do like nn [name]Sandy[/name] though. [name]Calliope[/name] is a cute mn!
  3. [name]Gwendolyn[/name] “[name]Wendy[/name]/[name]Gwen[/name]” - I love [name]Gwendolyn[/name] and adore [name]Gwen[/name]! [name]Wendy[/name] is fun too! My favorite from your list.
  4. [name]Autumn[/name] - meh, okay
  5. [name]America[/name] - no, not at all, hate it. Country names just aren’t doable imo. They always feel a bit trashy to me.
  6. [name]Belle[/name] - meh, not terrible, but definitely on a trendy side. I guess if you’re gonna be trendy at least you can be simple.
  7. [name]Bay[/name] - as a middle–okay, as a first–bleh
  8. Copeland - sounds like a sporting goods store. Definitely not a girls name. Maybe for a big dog.
  9. [name]Ursula[/name] - I can’t get past the [name]Little[/name] Mermaid connection sorry. 1st movie I ever saw in the theater.
  10. [name]Callista[/name] - meh, not terrible, but not one I love
  11. [name]Lark[/name] - one of my favorite middles. Not sure how well it would do as a first, but it is very pretty.
  12. [name]Mona[/name] - I can’t get past the “moaning” part. It’s a classy name, just not my style
  13. [name]Aislyn[/name] - looks fake and just like a bunch of letters smooshed together and it’s not even a pleasant sound combination
  14. [name]Lilla[/name] ([name]Lil[/name]-uh) - the main thing I dislike about the name is the very thing you’ve instinctively given–the fact that there are so many ways to pronounce and spell it. Too confusing to me. I’d never use it.
  15. [name]Emmaline[/name] - I know this is a valid name, but to me it always feels like someone wanted to use [name]Emily[/name] or [name]Madeline[/name] but thought they were too popular so they combined them into one name
  16. [name]Summer[/name] - meh, okay, bit blah
  17. [name]Rio[/name] - cute nn, but I wouldn’t use it on it’s own
  18. [name]Avis[/name] - Rent a Car! That’s all I think of. It is a pleasant sound, but I couldn’t use it
  19. [name]Hailey[/name] - feels a bit dated since all the ones I know are teenagers. [name]Hadley[/name] seems to be the runner up of this trend.
  20. [name]Cecilia[/name] - too hissy for my taste, but it’s not terrible.

I like [name]Gwendolyn[/name], [name]Calista[/name], [name]Cecelia[/name].

  1. [name]Shiloh[/name]- NMS but I see the appeal. Has a cool sound but again, NMS(I like gender distinct names)
  2. [name]Cassandra[/name]/[name]Calliope[/name] “[name]Cassie[/name]”-[name]Love[/name] [name]Calliope[/name]! So pretty. [name]Cassandra[/name] seems a bit dated to me, but it works really well as a middle name.
  3. [name]Gwendolyn[/name] “[name]Wendy[/name]/[name]Gwen[/name]”-[name]Love[/name] [name]Gwendolyn[/name]! Never thought of [name]Wendy[/name] as a nn but its super cute!
  4. [name]Autumn[/name]-I like this! I’ve never met an [name]Autumn[/name] before!
  5. [name]America[/name]-A little too…“I’m proud to be an American” for me.
  6. [name]Belle[/name]-So cute! Reminds me of my fav princess  But I would worry about having all the Isabellas and Bellas out there, that this wouldn’t feel interesting.
  7. [name]Bay[/name]-I’m neutral on this one. I think I would like it more as a midd name.
  8. Copeland-I love [name]Misty[/name]!(If you are a dancer, you would undertand. Are/were you?) Anyways, its NMS as a first name, but I think it would be a cool middle.
  9. [name]Ursula[/name]-Too evil octopus for me.
  10. [name]Calista[/name]-[name]Love[/name]! So pretty and it isn’tvery common at all!
  11. [name]Lark[/name]-NMS but I think its cool! I personally wouldn’t be brave enough to use it.
  12. [name]Mona[/name]-[name]Love[/name] this also! I would love to have this as a name.
  13. [name]Aislyn[/name]-Sounds made up to me.
  14. [name]Lilla[/name] ([name]Lil[/name]-uh)-There would be lots of pronunciation messups with this. Most people would see and think “[name]Lila[/name]”.
  15. [name]Emmaline[/name] - I like this! But there are so many different pronunciations. [name]Emma[/name]-Lyne, [name]Emma[/name]-Leen, [name]Emma[/name]-lyn…
  16. [name]Summer[/name]-I like this one!
  17. [name]Rio[/name]-Does she “dance on the sand”? Lol(google it if you don’t understant my [name]Duran[/name] [name]Duran[/name] reference). Not a big fan of this one.
  18. [name]Avis[/name]-I kinda sounds like a creative way to get to the nn [name]Ava[/name].
  19. [name]Hailey[/name]-Too popular.
  20. [name]Cecilia[/name]-[name]Love[/name] this! [name]One[/name] of my faves on your list.

My faves are [name]Calliope[/name], [name]Gwendolyn[/name], [name]Calista[/name], [name]Mona[/name] and [name]Cecilia[/name]. You have a pretty collective list of a bunch of different styles!

There weren’t ten on your list… I shrank it to the ones I think are usable.

  1. [name]Cassandra[/name]/[name]Calliope[/name] “[name]Cassie[/name]”
  2. [name]Gwendolyn[/name] “[name]Wendy[/name]/[name]Gwen[/name]”
  3. [name]Belle[/name]
  4. [name]Ursula[/name] - I know one. She goes by [name]Ursy[/name].
  5. [name]Calista[/name]
  6. [name]Mona[/name]
  7. [name]Aislyn[/name] - Spelt [name]Aisling[/name].
  8. [name]Lilla[/name] ([name]Lil[/name]-uh)
  9. [name]Emmaline[/name] - Spelt [name]Emmeline[/name].
  10. [name]Hailey[/name] - Spelt [name]Hayley[/name].
  11. [name]Cecilia[/name]

I just realized that you could use the nn [name]Sully[/name] for [name]Ursula[/name]. I still don’t really like it, but it makes it feel more usable.

Like: [name]Cassandra[/name], [name]Calliope[/name], [name]Gwendolyn[/name], [name]America[/name], [name]Belle[/name], [name]Calista[/name], [name]Lark[/name], [name]Rio[/name] & [name]Cecilia[/name]

The rest just aren’t my thing.

[name]Love[/name]:
[name]Cassandra[/name]/[name]Calliope[/name] “[name]Cassie[/name]” - My favorites from your list.
[name]Gwendolyn[/name] “[name]Wendy[/name]/[name]Gwen[/name]” - My name. I love [name]Gwen[/name] and utterly despise [name]Wendy[/name].
[name]Calista[/name]
[name]Lilla[/name] ([name]Lil[/name]-uh) - [name]Lilia[/name] and [name]Lilias[/name] are similarly pretty.
[name]Emmaline[/name] - I like the [name]Emmeline[/name] spelling slightly better.
[name]Avis[/name]
[name]Cecilia[/name]

Like:
[name]Autumn[/name]
[name]Belle[/name]
[name]Ursula[/name]
[name]Mona[/name]
[name]Aislyn[/name] - What’s wrong with [name]Aislinn[/name]? I think the spelling is already complicated enough, personally.
[name]Summer[/name]

Dislike:
[name]Shiloh[/name]
[name]America[/name]
[name]Bay[/name]
Copeland
[name]Lark[/name]
[name]Rio[/name]
[name]Hailey[/name] - A nice enough name, but starting to sound rather dated

I commentd on every name, and then realised I was negative about almost all of them. So i’ll spare you
