Ok I am still kicking around names for my third son coming this [name]August[/name]. My older sons are [name]Owen[/name] and [name]Rhys[/name]. Top runners right now are [name]Flynn[/name], [name]Tate[/name], [name]Asher[/name], and really I am still thinking. [name]August[/name] is also on my list and it happens to be a family name. I am still unsure it even fits in with [name]Owen[/name] and [name]Rhys[/name]- though I love it. I also keep questioning if it would be cheesy to name my son [name]August[/name] when that is his birth month? What do you think?? My husband perfers it over [name]Asher[/name]. I am just trying to decide if I should keep it on the first name list or push it to a potential middle. THANKS!

In answer to your question I don’t think naming a child [name]August[/name] and being born in [name]August[/name] is that much of a big deal. I wouldn’t do it myself and I think I would prefer it to be in the mn spot if that was the connection just in case some smarty started making smart comments.
However, I have never understood the love of [name]August[/name] that I have found on nameberry. I have only ever found one [name]Gus[/name] and he was just that [name]Gus[/name] not [name]August[/name]. However, I was horrified at the time that a child would be given this name. I have since adjusted to the idea but don’t find it the least bit handsome.
So far your naming has been brilliant imo and your other choices far outshine the suggestion of [name]August[/name].
[name]Tate[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] and [name]Flynn[/name] [name]Andrew[/name] would be a great choices and much more in the style of [name]Owen[/name] and [name]Rhys[/name]!

I think I just needed to have some feedback to help with the decision to take it off the list all together. It’s a cool name - but probably just not for us:-) I also do not like the name [name]Gus[/name] and would be one of those things that would make me cringe hearing if I used it.
I did not know the gender of my first two children until their birth- so actually knowing the gender and possibly having his name figured out 4 months in advance seems funny but cool!
