What do you think of the name [name_f]Odette[/name_f]? What kind of kid does it make you think of? We are considering it for our third child and would love some opinions 
[name_f]Odette[/name_f] is one of my favorite names. It’s an honor name for me (the [name_m]French[/name_m] version of my father’s MN & my mother’s maiden name) but the reason it first caught my attention is because I love the [name_f]Swan[/name_f] [name_u]Lake[/name_u] association, the letter O is one of my favorite letters, & I love the idea of the nickname “[name_f]Etta[/name_f]”.
Ooh - unusual, and very cute. As an ex-ballerina, I automatically think of [name_f]Swan[/name_f] [name_u]Lake[/name_u]: the main character is called [name_f]Odette[/name_f] in that, so I think graceful, elegant, swan-like!
[name_f]Odette[/name_f] nn [name_f]Etta[/name_f] would be gorgeous.
I love [name_f]Odette[/name_f]! It strikes me as very pretty, whimsy, elegant and charming.

I really like [name_f]Odette[/name_f], I feel like its underused but still well known, and it probably won’t be misspelled. I don’t really care for its nicknames tho, and I prefer the name in full.
The first thing I think of is [name_f]Swan[/name_f] [name_u]Lake[/name_u]! I think it’s gorgeous and quaint, and there’s lots of cute nickname potential as well.

It’s pretty, though not one of my faves. I know two women named [name_f]Odette[/name_f]…one in her 80’s, and one in her 30’s, so it’s rather timeless…
