We were set on [name_u]Winter[/name_u] but now we’ve discussed a few more ideas and are stuck
Other ideas -
I really like [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] but partner likes [name_f]Tori[/name_f] as a stand alone. I prefer longer names with nicknames but don’t want [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] (not keen on [name_f]Vicky[/name_f])
Both like [name_f]Liana[/name_f] (pronounced [name_u]Lee[/name_u] Arna not [name_f]Anna[/name_f])
Also like [name_f]Lola[/name_f] but not sure if too childish? Would it suit an adult?
Further down the list -
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
[name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_u]Skye[/name_u]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
A mix of names really, partner likes “usual” names e.g. jessica, [name_f]Hayley[/name_f].
I like different and slightly unusual names.
What do you all think of what we’ve got and do you have any suggestions?
[name_f]Liana[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] or [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Liana[/name_f] might work, if those are the two names you like, so you can use both.
I looooove [name_f]Liana[/name_f]. I think it’s so underused! (I pronounce it the same way you do, although in my American accent I’d write the pronunciation as “lee-AHN-uh,” rhyming with the character from Frozen). It’s a nature name with a gorgeous sound and can be nicknamed as [name_f]Lia[/name_f]. What’s not to love? [name_f]Liana[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] would be a gorgeous combo.
I also like [name_f]Astoria[/name_f], and I agree with you that [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] needs to be a full name. [name_f]Tori[/name_f] is a nickname, not a stand alone name, in my opinion. [name_f]Tori[/name_f] is a great nickname for [name_f]Astoria[/name_f].
[name_f]Lola[/name_f] is lovely and I think it could suit a girl/woman of any age! I think [name_u]Winter[/name_u] would make a great middle name for any and all of these name options :).
Both [name_f]Liana[/name_f] and [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] are lovely. Am I missing something or is [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] “[name_f]Tori[/name_f]” not an option? [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] / [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] would both be absolutely stunning choices.
I love [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Lola[/name_f] or [name_f]Lola[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u]. I actually think [name_f]Lola[/name_f] ages very well.
I don’t care for [name_f]Astoria[/name_f], [name_f]Tori[/name_f] or [name_f]Liana[/name_f] much. [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] is a nearby town where I live so I don’t see the appeal. [name_f]Tori[/name_f] is dated and not as fresh as your other choices. [name_f]Liana[/name_f] is pretty but to me a lot of L names ending in A arent very distinctive or interesting.
I do like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]! Sweet and classic. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] seems like a good option for you because it is a bit more familiar like your partner likes but also has the character you seem to like in names. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] would be pretty! Or [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]!
Thank you - I hadn’t thought of using one as a middle, could be a good way to comprise between the unusual names I like and the more usual ones he likes
[name_u]Love[/name_u] winter as a suggested middle name!
[name_f]Astoria[/name_f] is top of my list but partner isn’t keen on it, he prefers just [name_f]Tori[/name_f] but I would prefer a longer name with it as a nickname
I really like [name_f]Lola[/name_f] but was worried it wouldn’t work for an adult, so thank you for your opinion that has made me feel better.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] the suggestions of [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] or [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u] - will suggest to partner!
