opinions on our names :)

[name]Hi[/name] Berries!

I’m looking for some advice on our current lists. I have posted a few times on here and have really appreciated the feedback, so here I go again! We plan to start ttc this fall. For a girl, we are pretty set on [name]Lottie[/name] as the fn and [name]Mim[/name] for mn to honor 2 of her great grandmas [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Miriam[/name]. We don’t think the name sounds to childish and we believe that it will grow with her. I have fallen in love with this name as it’s so unique and honors two very special people in an original way. We do not want to use [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Miriam[/name] and are pretty much set on [name]Lottie[/name] [name]Mim[/name]. WDYT?

For boys, we were set on [name]Noah[/name] [name]Jay[/name]. They are both family names. Recently, OH decided that he was unsure about [name]Noah[/name] as the fn, and would prefer it in the middle spot. So far we like: [name]Jace[/name] [name]Noah[/name], [name]Max[/name] [name]Noah[/name], [name]Brady[/name] [name]Noah[/name], [name]Flynn[/name] [name]Noah[/name], [name]Liam[/name] [name]Noah[/name]

I would say our style is short&sweet/nickname/vintage. Suggestions for boys would be great!

Thanks in advance!!

I [name]LOVE[/name] nicknames as given names, and I would be ecstatic to meet a [name]Lottie[/name] [name]Mim[/name]! [name]How[/name] sweet is that! I can picture her as a baby, a child, and an elderly woman. As for her adolescence and middle-aged years, you’re right, it will grow with her and people will get used to it. I love it!

For your boy names, I think [name]Max[/name] and [name]Liam[/name] are so popular that they aren’t special anymore and people no longer notice their sweet sounds because of the overexposure. I have a soft spot for [name]Jace[/name], because [name]Jase[/name] will likely be the middle name for our future child (we probably won’t use it for a son, but for a daughter actually). I knew a little boy named [name]Brady[/name] who was the son of very wealthy, snobbish, rude, entitled yuppie parents, and now I just picture that class of people so it’s just not appealing to me at all. [name]Flynn[/name] is sweet. If you like vintage names, you’ll like this Nameberry list: Vintage Boy Names: How To Find A Cool Old Name | Nameberry.

Good luck!

[name]Lottie[/name] [name]Mim[/name] is so sweet!

Forgot to mention two other boys names we like…[name]Tate[/name] [name]Noah[/name] and [name]Bennett[/name] [name]Noah[/name]

Thank you alzora and milo2011 for the kind comments!

alzora- Thanks for the link! Some names from that list that stood out were [name]Clyde[/name], [name]Taft[/name], [name]Brooks[/name], and [name]Grady[/name]. I will mention them to future DH! (Problem with [name]Brooks[/name] is that I love [name]Brooke[/name] for a girl. If we were to have a second girl, her name would likely be [name]Brooke[/name] [name]Emma[/name])

Names that I like but future DH doesn’t are: [name]Hayes[/name], [name]Oliver[/name] (nn Oli), [name]Henry[/name], [name]Rhys[/name], [name]Luca[/name] (nn [name]Luke[/name]), [name]Finn[/name], and [name]Theo[/name]
Names that future DH likes, but I don’t are: Dierks, [name]Tucker[/name] (nn [name]Tuck[/name]), [name]Deacon[/name] (nn Deek), [name]Sawyer[/name], and [name]Jackson[/name] (nn [name]Jax[/name])

Since it sounds like you’re set on the girls name, I think I’ll just skip to the boys.
Out of your boy combinations I like [name]Brady[/name] [name]Noah[/name] the best. [name]Flynn[/name] [name]Noah[/name] is awkward since the "n"s run into each other.

Your girl’s name is very cute, I like it. For the boy’s, I like [name]Bennet[/name] [name]Noah[/name] best.

Personally, I prefer [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Miriam[/name] over [name]Lottie[/name] [name]Mim[/name], but [name]Charlotte[/name] has been my top girls name forever, so I’m a little biased! I you love [name]Lottie[/name] [name]Mim[/name], then that is what you should use.

For boys, [name]Bennett[/name] [name]Noah[/name] is my favorite of the options you listed!
