Hello again. You might remember that I am due in about a month and a half, and my husband and I (along with [name]Genevieve[/name], our daughter) were having difficulty picking a name for our unborn child. From your feedback, we chose [name]Harrison[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] for a boy and [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] for a girl. Unfortunately, [name]Harrison[/name] was snatched up by our neighbor (they didn’t know we were going to use it) and there’s a bratty, obnoxious girl in my daughter’s preschool named [name]Annabel[/name] (sounds stupid, but we were turned off from the name after meeting the brat). So we’ve been trying to find other names, but need your opinions on them.
Boys…
[name]Jasper[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name] (although the “J” sound in both of their names might be too matchy)
[name]Evan[/name] [name]Leonardo[/name] ([name]Evan[/name] might be too insubstantial next to [name]Genevieve[/name], though)
[name]Alexander[/name] [name]Hugo[/name] (we think this might be the best with [name]Genevieve[/name], though it isn’t our absolute favorite)
[name]Dexter[/name] [name]Alaric[/name] ([name]Alaric[/name] is a very intriguing character from one of my favorite series, Withern Rise, and I think the name is pretty cool)
Girls…
[name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] or [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Matilda[/name] or [name]Violet[/name] [name]Anastasia[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name] [name]Penelope[/name] or [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] (my name, and my mother’s middle name, and my grandmother’s name is [name]Elizabeth[/name], so I’d like to carry on the tradition in this way, though it isn’t really that important)
[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] or [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Genna[/name]'s favorites are [name]Dexter[/name] [name]Alaric[/name] and [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name].
As you can see, we like names that are heard of and accepted but stand out, that are classy but not stuffy, that are sophisticated yet fun, and age well.
Though it may make things even harder, we’d like some suggestions on names that suit our style.
Thanks so, so, so much for your help!
[name]Jasper[/name], [name]Libby[/name], and [name]Genna[/name].
