Currently my SO and I are expecting our third and last child, girl or boy we have decided to not find out. Its been a fun experience so far as we have already picked out the middle names [name]Juliet[/name] (girl) and [name]Charles[/name] (boy).
We have two little tots so far: [name]Romilly[/name] Eseld and [name]Artie[/name] [name]Gideon[/name] [name]Seth[/name].
There are a few names we are considering at the moment that we would like your input on:
For girls I prefer [name]Helena[/name] as Phryne will have pronunciation issues. For boys I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Kit[/name] and my second pick would be tieed between [name]Orrin[/name] and [name]Theon[/name] and I’m not really a fan of [name]Jago[/name].
Oh and BTW I love [name]Artie[/name]'s name. [name]Artie[/name] [name]Gideon[/name] [name]Seth[/name] swoon
We really like the name Phryne, however pronounciation and spelling are one of the problems we’ve encountered and that its a nickname that means “toad.” However the Phryne [name]Fisher[/name] association is a big one for us and we love the character, but the problems do rank up. [name]How[/name] do you pronounce Phryne if I may ask? Friends and family have had trouble with it as well.
I love [name]Helena[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]! While [name]Kit[/name] is my favourite, I’m not feeling the bluntness of [name]Kit[/name] [name]Charles[/name], so I think my favourite is [name]Theon[/name] [name]Charles[/name].
[name]Romilly[/name] Eseld is a gorgeous combination!
I’ve never seen Phryne before. I don’t hate it, but I honestly find the look of it to be pretty intimidating, and I’m a bit baffled as to its pronunciation. Frien? [name]Free[/name]-neh? Something else?
[name]Keturah[/name] is very pretty! I like it a lot. I imagine you could even use [name]Kit[/name] as a nickname for it if you wanted.
I like all of your boys list, but I think that I like [name]Kit[/name] best. I don’t dislike [name]Theon[/name] at all, but it made me think of Game of Thrones right away, and I don’t even follow Game of Thrones very closely at all. I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad association.
I think [name]Kit[/name] fits the best from the boys, [name]Theon[/name] & [name]Orrin[/name] are interesting, and I’m not a fan of [name]Jago[/name] though that could be because I was embarassed at pronouncing it wrong the first time I met one! Of the girls, [name]Keturah[/name] would be my favourite. I would pronounce Phryne ‘Frin’, but have no idea if this is right! But most importantly I am so happy to see Eseld as your daughter’s middle name - as you can tell from my signature, it fits right into the [name]Isolda[/name]/E- fixation I have and it’s the first time I’ve seen anyone use it. Gorgeous. Best of luck with your new little one!
For your girls list I really like [name]Keturah[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] (possibly with nn [name]Kit[/name]). My second would be [name]Helena[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] (you would get various pronunciations depending on who was saying it, I pn it huh-lay-nuh). I don’t even know how to pronounce Phryne
For your boys list I think [name]Orrin[/name] [name]Jago[/name] [name]Charles[/name]. (I know you have [name]Charles[/name] as a mn, but I think since your son has 2 mn’s having a second son with 2 mn’s would be a little connection between them.)
