I picked [name_u]Tate[/name_u] and [name_m]Ellary[/name_m], partly because I’ve always liked [name_u]Tate[/name_u] but mostly because [name_m]Bayless[/name_m] is totally new to me as a name and before I clicked through to see its listing, all it said to me was “without a bay”. It doesn’t sound unpleasant in and of itself, so if it’s a reasonably well-known name where your friend lives, it may seem a lot more usable than it did/does to me a minute ago!
I will say (and you and your friend may well already know this but it’d be a shame if you didn’t) that I’ve seen many more questions about [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] for a girl lately than for a boy. Not sure if it’s really being used a lot on girls (and it would vary by region), and I find it quite handsome for a boy - just wanted to make sure you knew that it’s a possibility.
I agree with the pp. [name_m]Bayless[/name_m] feels like “without a [name_u]Bay[/name_u]” or maybe like “hey come down and bayless out of jail”
I really like [name_u]Tate[/name_u] and [name_u]Bay[/name_u]- but I dont really like [name_m]Bayless[/name_m].
This. I don’t understand [name_m]Bayless[/name_m] at all. I voted for [name_u]Tate[/name_u] and [name_m]Ellary[/name_m].
She said she found it on another baby name site, which had the meaning as “one who leases a bay”…but she’s not one to care too much about meanings, and just likes the sound and feel of [name_m]Bayless[/name_m]
I don’t dislike [name_m]Bayless[/name_m]. Prefer the Bayliss spelling. But, [name_m]Bayless[/name_m] and [name_m]Ellary[/name_m] kind of say girl to me. I picked [name_m]Ellary[/name_m] and [name_u]Tate[/name_u]. I don’t love them or hate them…kinda meh…
Voted [name_u]Tate[/name_u] [name_m]Ellary[/name_m].
[name_u]Tate[/name_u] because I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] THAT NAME omg.
And [name_m]Ellary[/name_m] just because it’s better than [name_m]Bayless[/name_m].
Good luck!
