I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Elias[/name_u]. My husband doesn’t. I think it’s a wonderful name, ages well, and is a classic. [name_m]Eli[/name_m] is a cute and natural nickname for [name_u]Elias[/name_u].

I love [name_u]Elias[/name_u] too! Shorter forms could include [name_m]Eli[/name_m] or just [name_f]El[/name_f]. I think it’s a beautiful, soft name for boys. While I like [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] too, I think [name_u]Elias[/name_u] is a winner

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Elias[/name_u]. [name_m]Calvin[/name_m]/[name_u]Cal[/name_u] is my second pick.

The only built in nicknames for [name_u]Elias[/name_u] are [name_m]Eli[/name_m] or E, but a term of endearment or nickname based on initials or middle name could work too. I wouldn’t let that be a deal breaker.

I adore [name_u]Elias[/name_u] - it’s definitely in my top 5 boys names  I think it ages well, and totally agree with other posters: [name_m]Eli[/name_m] is the obvious nickname with E or [name_f]El[/name_f] as alternatives!

I really love [name_u]Elias[/name_u], with [name_m]Eli[/name_m] as a natural nickname.
It would be on my list of boy’s names but I’ve already used it for a main character in the fantasy novel I’ve been writing since I was 10 (I won’t say how long that’s been)

I like [name_u]Elias[/name_u] a lot. I have a friend who has a little boy named [name_u]Elias[/name_u] (I think he is actually about five now, come to think of it!), and he’s just [name_u]Elias[/name_u]. According to my friend, lots of people try to call him [name_m]Eli[/name_m], which she doesn’t like. So if you want an occasional nn like that, I would think [name_m]Eli[/name_m] would be just fine? As far as I know, that’s the only problem they’ve had with it, and I don’t think it’s hard to say, even for a little kid. No tons of "R"s that becomes Awowa or anything like that. [name_m]Calvin[/name_m]'s probably my favorite from your poll, but I love [name_m]Calvin[/name_m], [name_m]Tobias[/name_m], and [name_u]Elias[/name_u], honestly. They’re all lovely names.

My seven year old son’s name is [name_u]Elias[/name_u]. A few people have called him [name_m]Eli[/name_m], but he mostly goes by [name_u]Elias[/name_u]. It hasn’t been a hard name. Kids have never bothered him about his name.

I love the name and my step brother is [name_u]Elias[/name_u] and he is one of the nicest people I know
