I voted for “dislike” only because I dislike it as a full given name. I think it’s adorable as a nickname! I just cannot picture an adult [name]Maisie[/name] with no formal name to fall back on.

I love it!
Although i prefer it spelt [name]Maisy[/name] as i think the ‘ai’‘ie’ makes it look to cluttered?

It would be okay as a nick name for [name]Margaret[/name], but I agree that it wouldn’t sound right for an adult. I also think most people would confuse it for [name]Macy[/name].

[name]Love[/name] it! I’ve seen it used once (never met another one) as a nickname for [name]Madeline[/name] or [name]Madeleine[/name] - and it was SO much more appealing than “[name]Maddy[/name]”. Also think it would be stunning as a nickname for _______ [name]May[/name].
Perhaps [name]Amelia[/name] [name]May[/name]? Actually, [name]Matilda[/name] [name]May[/name] is gorgeous too.

I think it stands alone fine though.
Thumbs-up from me

Hate it. Childish, ugly-looking and really bogan.

I think it’s over the top sweet, but I really like it! I’d use it as a nn though, because of its sweetness.

I have a hard time picturing a grown up [name]Maisie[/name]. For me, it’s great as a nn.

I like it as a nickname, but only with the “ie” spelling. I think with the “y”, it makes it look like a pets name or something.

It was my absolute favourite for years, when I was younger, but now I have trouble picturing it on anyone but a child under 8 years old. And I can’t find a name I love enough to use as its “formal” name. I think it is so sweet and pretty, but also spunky and fun. I still do love it, but likely won’t use it.

I like the name Maise better than [name]Maisie[/name].

Ya, I agree.

I like [name]Maisie[/name], but it does seem a little cutesy. I think I’d prefer it as a nn rather than just a stand alone. It’s always good to have a more serious name to fall back on. When I was considering [name]Maeve[/name] as a fn I thought about [name]Maisie[/name] as a nickname for that

i put like it…cause i love it as a nn and dislike it as a fn so i figured i would pick what’s in the middle!

It’s too cutesy for me. I know of one and that was my first thought when I heard her name. I don’t like the name mostly because of her though. [name]One[/name] of those girls who was always leading guys on even though she had a bf. Got very annoying to watch. But anyways, it sounds too much like a nickname or something to me.

This is one of my favorites. My grandma was named Maze and was called [name]Mazie[/name] as a child, I’ve always though this was a lovely way to combat the nn question.

I love it! I think [name]Maisie[/name] is so sweet.

It seems a bit too cutesy on its own, though–I would use it as a nn for something like [name]Mae[/name], [name]Margaret[/name], [name]Magdalena[/name], etc.

Good luck!
