[name_m]Hi[/name_m], we are due to have our 2nd boy in 3 weeks and think we are settled on the name [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] (nn [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]/ Ted), a borther for [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] Niccolo. Surname is Italian but couldn’t find an Italian name that we like this time. Honest opinions please 
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] is nice. I like [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]/Ted but slightly prefer the nn [name_u]Theo[/name_u] with [name_m]Rocco[/name_m].

I like it. And I second the suggestion of [name_u]Theo[/name_u] as a nickname but [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is cute for when he’s small.

My only hesitation is that both [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] both mean ‘gift of God’, so it seems a bit redundant to me, but I think [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is great, and [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] make great brothers!

[name_m]Rocco[/name_m] and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is cute! I also think [name_u]Theo[/name_u] would be a better nn when he gets older, but lots of people do [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]/Ted their whole lives.

Thank you everyone for your replies, I am really glad that its coming across as a strong solid name. I definitely take the point about [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] meaning gift of God also, the reason for [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] is that it’s the name of my husbands friend who passed away recently so that will stay despite the double meaning. I like that [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] has a couple of nn’s which can change depending in his age and preference!
