Opinions on Theresa/Teresa

Hey Berries,

[name]Just[/name] wondering what you all think of [name]Theresa[/name]/[name]Teresa[/name]?

It has been popping into my head lately and I adore the nn [name]Tess[/name] or [name]Tessa[/name]! I would probably spell it the Spanish way without the H… ([name]Teresa[/name]) as my husband is mexican…

BUT spelling preference aside do you like it? What impression does it give you? Other nn’s??

Does it sounds good with DS [name]Josef[/name]?

I like it… many people feel it’s too “dated” (was popular in the 50s-60s-70s) but I think it’s fine and will stand out as it’s no longer common. I like either spelling, [name]Tess[/name] and [name]Tessa[/name] are great nicknames… I don’t like [name]Terri[/name]/[name]Terry[/name]. Sounds fine with [name]Josef[/name].

I absolutely love it and it’s one of my top picks for a daughter. In fact we would’ve used it already but with our last name we’ve hesitated. I can’t decide on which spelling we’d use. I know some say it’s dated but I think it’s a classic. We plan on using [name]Tess[/name]. I’ve heard of [name]Tia[/name] as a nickname. [name]Reese[/name] is also an option.

I think it is a bit dated but who cares! I prefer it with the h but it is my aunts name so anything else just looks spelled wrong without it. [name]Tess[/name] and [name]Tessa[/name] are great NN but I prefer [name]Reese[/name] as the NN.

I’ve always liked the name [name]Teresa[/name]/[name]Theresa[/name]. I prefer the full name, but the nn [name]Tess[/name]/[name]Tessa[/name] is very pretty too. If I had a dozen daughters (I wish!), I might consider [name]Theresa[/name] for a middle name. I like the spelling [name]Teresa[/name] too. [name]Theresa[/name]/[name]Teresa[/name] is a name that looks and sounds better and better to me the more I scrutinize and think about it. It’s beautiful.

I like [name]Theresa[/name] a lot! [name]Theresa[/name] [name]Grace[/name] has always held a special place in my heart, since it’s my great-great aunt’s name. I prefer the “H” spelling, personally. [name]Teresa[/name] seems more incomplete, somehow. I would probably use just [name]Tess[/name], but I love the idea of [name]Theresa[/name] nn [name]Tess[/name]. [name]Josef[/name] and [name]Teresa[/name]/[name]Josef[/name] and [name]Theresa[/name] are lovely together!

[name]Theresa[/name]/[name]Teresa[/name] is lovely and classic, not dated at all. It was in or near the top 100 for over 100 years (from 1880 to the early 1980’s), which definitely makes it a classic in my book.

[name]Tess[/name]/[name]Tessa[/name] is a great NN too!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Teresa[/name], greatly dislike [name]Theresa[/name]. [name]Tessa[/name] is a very pretty nn.
