Opinions on these names

Recently I’ve been looking into new names and these are currently on my list… I just want to know which are your favorites/what are your overall thoughts/suggestions?
Names:
[name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Arielle[/name_f]

thanks

[name_u]Love[/name_u]: [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Arielle[/name_f]/[name_u]Ariel[/name_u]
Like: [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
Dislike: [name_u]Sydney[/name_u], [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] (maybe consider the softer Aimsee)

Overall you have excellent taste! [name_f]Hope[/name_f] I helped.

[name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] - I went to college with an [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u], but even though I liked her, I don’t like the name.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - I know a lot of berries like this name, but I just think it’s okay.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - Same as above, but I vastly prefer [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u].
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] - This name is very girly to me, but not frilly. I don’t mind it, but I don’t see this name aging as well as some of your other choices.
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u] - I don’t like it. The Y seems like it’s there only to make this name more feminine, and I think of [name_u]Sidney[/name_u] as a boys name because of [name_u]Sidney[/name_u] Poitier.
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] - I absolutely [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this name! Very melodic, sweet, and can be worn by so many ages.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] - It’s a really pretty name, but Twilight ruined this name for me. If you can get past that, then it’s charming.
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - Personally not one of my favorites, but I like it’s sound. Makes me think of a playful young girl, and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]'s dog (but that’s not a bad thing to me).
[name_f]Arielle[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Ariella[/name_f], as it’s my Hebrew name. I always thought the -le was a bit fussy. If you like the syllable count, I’d just do [name_u]Ariel[/name_u]. The mermaid has maid this version strictly girls territory.

I like [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] & [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] as siblings, as well as [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] & [name_f]Elodie[/name_f].

From your list I like:
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Arielle[/name_f] - Prefer [name_f]Ariella[/name_f] more

[name_f]Lenora[/name_f]

[name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] - A little too preppy/surname-esque for me, but I can see the appeal
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - Very pretty and elegant, I really like this one. One consideration would be that it can be pronounced two ways: [name_f]Eve[/name_f]-lin or Ev-ee-lin, not sure if that would bother you. If it does, I would suggest using [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] if you want in pronounced [name_f]Eve[/name_f]-lin and [name_f]Eveline[/name_f] if you want if pronounced Ev-ee-lin
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - Very lovely also, with lots of cute nicknames potential. Obviously very strong christian connotations
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] - Sweet and quirky with a couple of cute nicknames in there also. ‘[name_f]Bella[/name_f]’ names are extremely popular now though, not sure if that concerns you
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u] - I live about an hour and a half away from [name_u]Sydney[/name_u], so to me its a little tacky. Could sound more exotic in another country I guess?
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] - Cute, sweet and melodic, with cute nickname options
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] - Not a fan personally, the sound is too harsh for me
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - Very very cute. Lots of nickname potential
[name_f]Arielle[/name_f] - [name_f]Lovely[/name_f], very elegant.

Favourites: [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Arielle[/name_f]
Solid Choices: [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
Least favourites: [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u], [name_u]Sydney[/name_u], [name_f]Esme[/name_f]

[name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] - what is this? Variation of [name_u]Ashley[/name_u]? Seems like it.

[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - common. I love the nn [name_f]Eve[/name_f], but the name seems too old

[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - I’m impartial. [name_m]French[/name_m] feeling, [name_f]Eva[/name_f] (great nn).

[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] - flower like.

[name_u]Sydney[/name_u] - the city. boy name for me

[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] - musical name. fairy-like

[name_f]Esme[/name_f] - adorable

[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - I love this one, but only the [name_m]French[/name_m] pronunciation

[name_f]Arielle[/name_f] - why not [name_u]Ariel[/name_u]? (the sound is the same and the spelling, classier) With “elle” ending I prefer [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]

YEAH:
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] ([name_f]Eva[/name_f])
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] ([name_m]FRENCH[/name_m] way)

MEH:
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]

NO:
[name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]
[name_f]Arielle[/name_f]

[name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] - A bit modern for my personal style, but it is underused and has a nice meaning.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - I love this name! It is getting a tad popular here where I live, it’s in the top 20 I think. But I do love it!
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - This is on my baby name list as well. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it! Classic, underused, great nickname options.
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] - This is pretty, feminine, classic. Although it wears well on a baby or child, I’m not sure how it would wear on an adult or look on a resume someday. It’s on my list, but that’s a reservation I can’t seem to shake about this name. I still think it’s pretty though.
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u] - Again, a bit modern for my personal style. [name_u]Sidney[/name_u] is the traditional spelling, [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] makes me think of this as a “place name” that maybe is meant to honor a special place to the couple having the child.
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] - Not my style, but I can appreciate the musicality of the name. It’s a bit on the “fantastical” side.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] - This reminds me of Twilight. I don’t know if that would bother you or not, just something to think about since it’s such a popular film.
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this name and nickname options, not a fan of the meaning of the name, “tribe woman”. What a shame that’s what it means because it really is a lovely name! Feminine without being frilly, classic, underused.
[name_f]Arielle[/name_f] - This is also very pretty. It reminds me of the Disney character [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] from The [name_m]Little[/name_m] Mermaid, spunky, sassy, pretty.

Okay to start out I’m okay with [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] but I just don’t get how it’s normal. I am sorry I don’t suggest using it. [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] is BEAUTIFUL but it’s a great middle name too, so maybe it could be her middle name. Personally I think she should be [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (Insert Last Name Here) So obviously I love [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] it seems so royal, pink princess, and little miss thing! [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] is nice very unique sounds like a far away kingdom but not a personal favorite of mine. I love [name_u]Sydney[/name_u], like in [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] of like in [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] [name_f]Esme[/name_f] or last in [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] Sydeny. Next, I’m not a fan if [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] but I love [name_f]Melody[/name_f] or Meloney! [name_f]Esme[/name_f] is a beautiful name as either a first or middle very unique and [name_m]French[/name_m] sounding. [name_f]Esme[/name_f] would make a great middle name to almost all of the names on this list. [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is a beautiful name which I would most likely use. It has a princessey touch to a very elegant sounding name. Last but not least [name_f]Arielle[/name_f], hopefully people won’t think of the Disney princess but the different spelling might not trigger the disney princess’ existence! [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] is a beautiful name and a truthfully want to name my own daughter that! I hope you liked my opinions!

[name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] - names that end in ‘ley’ sound common, like white noise among the Hadleys, Brinleys, Ashleys, and Charlies.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - very pretty
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - sounds a little bit too Southern and religious to me.
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] - I like this name, but I have a feeling it’s going to become very popular now that [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] has peaked.
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u] - this is such a great name, very strong but intriguing. It wears very well, the Sidneys I’ve met are lovely.
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] - nice sounding name
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] - I like it, very classic sounding.
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - it’s growing in popularity, a beautiful name.
[name_f]Arielle[/name_f] - underused for how beautiful it is.

Top 3

  1. [name_u]Sydney[/name_u]
  2. [name_f]Arielle[/name_f]
  3. [name_f]Esme[/name_f]

[name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]- This is just a really uncomfortable, harsh sounding name to me. Maybe [name_f]Ansley[/name_f]?
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]- I don’t care for this name.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]- I have just never liked this name.
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]- It’s ok I suppose. [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] sounds too made up to me so I do not like it.
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u]- I love [name_u]Sydney[/name_u]!
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]- I wouldn’t personally use this name but I don’t exactly dislike it.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f]- I do not like this name.
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]- Elegant and sophisticated. I like it.
[name_f]Arielle[/name_f]- I like it.

I love: [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f], and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f].
Like: [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (I think this name is underrated, it’s quite a beautiful classic) and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f].
I’m not overly a fan of [name_u]Sydney[/name_u], but I think the nickname [name_u]Syd[/name_u] can be quite cute.

I think you’ve created a nice list! [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps

[name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] - I detest this name; sorry, just being honest. I really hate everything about it from the way it looks to the way it sounds.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - It has a a nice, soft sound. Beautiful meaning behind it too.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - I think of [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Lilly[/name_f] whom I adore; I think it’s a good name though not one of my personal favourites.
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] - I think this is a very nice feminine name; however I do find it a bit grandiose.
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u] - I really dislike this name; and I really dislike the spelling. Maybe it’s because every female [name_u]Sydney[/name_u]/[name_u]Sidney[/name_u] I’ve met has been a b*tch for some reason. However I prefer the “i” over the “y” in the spelling.
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] - I think this is very cute and unique and feminine. It reminds me of names like [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] which are also lovely.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] - this is actually a very nice name, it’s just I’ve heard of too many villains in books named [name_f]Esme[/name_f] so the name is sort of ruined for me.
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - Not really a fan of this, especially since she would inevitably be called “[name_f]Gen[/name_f]” and there are just too many of those out there.
[name_f]Arielle[/name_f] - I love this but am not fond of the spelling; it comes across as a bit pretentious. I much prefer “[name_u]Ariel[/name_u]”.

Some suggestions:
As I mentioned above, [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]/[name_f]Elinor[/name_f] are beautiful names. Also Ellaby and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] are lovely.
You might also like: [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Ariela[/name_f], [name_f]Kinsley[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f].

[name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] - Masculine to me. Very trendy-American for a girl. It’s a nice name, but just not for a girl.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - Not a fan of the name. I do love [name_f]Eve[/name_f] or [name_f]Eva[/name_f] though.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name, but not one of my favourites.
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] - I’ve always loved [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], but considered it a little too frilly for my liking.
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u] - Completely masculine to me. I just can’t get past ‘[name_u]Syd[/name_u]/[name_m]Sid[/name_m]’ as a nickname for a girl - it just doesn’t work. [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] is also just a city to me.
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] - Pretty, but not a favourite of mine.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] - I’ve never seen the appeal in [name_f]Esme[/name_f], but that could just be me.
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - Gorgeous, elegant name.
[name_f]Arielle[/name_f] - Not a huge fan but I would much rather see this on a girl than the masculine [name_u]Ariel[/name_u].

[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] is least common, itll stand out

I like your entire list!!! You can’t go wrong with any of them.

My favorites in order
Loves:

  1. [name_f]Esme[/name_f] - I adore it, very uncommon, yet easy to say and spell. I’ve met one so far and she was so pretty, outgoing, and intelligent.
  2. [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - Not sure why, I just love this name! It’s girly, [name_m]French[/name_m], classy, [name_f]Evie[/name_f] or [name_f]Eve[/name_f] as nicknames are cute. I’ve met one so far, but I know I’ll meet more.
  3. [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - I really love this name. I’ve met two, an 8yo who is probably 14yo now, and an 80yo (huge difference I know). I think it’s timeless and obviously ages very well. Ev-lyn or Ev-uh-lyn works either way.

Likes:

  1. [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] - I’ve never really heard of this name before. I’m a huge [name_f]El[/name_f]- name fan though so it really appeals to me. I like it, and I think it can definitely work.
  2. [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - I really like this name. It appeals to me with its sound, look, and meaning. I’ve a also never met one before, but it’s becoming popular so I’m guessing I eventually will.
  3. [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] - This spelling bets [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] by a mile. I pronounce [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] “Are-ee-elle” and [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] “[name_f]Air[/name_f]-ee-ul”, but in the little mermaid [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] the crab pronounces [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] “Are-ee-elle” and Flounder the fish pronounces it “[name_f]Air[/name_f]-ee-ul”. I associate [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] with the [name_m]Little[/name_m] Mermaid, but not [name_f]Arielle[/name_f]. I’ve met two so far and they are awesome ladies with huge dreams.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] ok:

  1. [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] - This name is a little too trendy for me. I remember a cheerleader from high school who wore huge bows and was really small. Her name was [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (FN, MN together). I’ve only met one, but I feel like there’s a lot more girls with this name. It’s okay, it reminds me of [name_u]Ashley[/name_u], and I really dislike [name_u]Ashley[/name_u]. I don’t see it aging that well.
  2. [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] - I have met numerous girls with this name, probably over ten. It’s a nice name, just way too common for me. I prefer [name_u]Sidney[/name_u] and on a boy. All the [name_u]Sydney[/name_u]'s I know are in their 20s and in college, but I still don’t see it aging that well.
  3. [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] - I know people are a huge fan of this name, but for some odd reason I just cannot get on board. The name rolls off the tongue so well. It’s also very frilly and girly. I don’t think I’m a huge fan because it ends in -bella. I prefer names that end in -elle more, which is probably why [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] is higher for [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] for me. I prefer [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f] over [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]. It’s also becoming extremely popular.

Overall I don’t dislike any of the names. They are all beautiful and work very well. 3 I love, 3 I like, and 3 I think are ok. I hope this helps!
