I like [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] a lot, though it’s rather simple. [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] doesn’t really flow for me and looks odd with both names having four letters. I think that [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Fern[/name_f] would make a great sister set, as would [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] or [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Rowena[/name_f]. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is just kind of ho-hum, not really jumping out at me.
Here’s some combo ideas (using names from your signature and others):
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Greta[/name_f] (I love this)
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] (I love this too)
I agree, [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] doesn’t work for me either. I like both names, just not together. I like the pretty floral fn with the more traditional mn.
[name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and
I like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], but [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] seems incomplete to me. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] flows a lot better. Or [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Amaya[/name_f] or [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Emelia[/name_f]. I have the same feedback on [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] that the others do.
I love [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]! It’s so sweet. [name_f]Fern[/name_f] is such a lovely name with nice imagery and sound and I think it flows well with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I like the flow of [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and the nickname potential is really nice!
[name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is okay, but the the repetitive r sounds so close together does throw the flow slightly. [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Isla[/name_f] or [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] maybe? [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]?
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_f]Fern[/name_f] would be sweet for siblings, as would [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] and [name_f]Fern[/name_f].
I really like [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Fern[/name_f], it’s hardly ever used, and it seems so tricky to balance it well. I like this combo.
[name_f]Ruth[/name_f] is a very nice sister match for [name_f]Fern[/name_f], but I’d like to see a longer middle with it - maybe [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]. I think that would be a similar kind of restrained first name with an elegant middle feel that [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] has.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is usually one of my favorites, but [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] doesn’t thrill me, and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] seems so ornate right next to [name_f]Fern[/name_f] and [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]. I think if you end up with a set of 3, use one of the in-between names, say for example, [name_f]Fern[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] for a nice floral set.
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] seems a little buttoned-up, like [name_f]Fern[/name_f], but yet it’s also a little on the fancy side, like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]. It’s a good one to have in the mix. [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] would be pretty.
[name_f]Primrose[/name_f] is cute but a little on the super-sweet side. Still, I think it would go nicely in a set with [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f].
I like seeing [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] get some attention. This one seems more classically elegant, so I’d match it with [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], or if you want to go eclectic, with [name_f]Primrose[/name_f].
[name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is so sweet! I also love [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] or [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f].
[name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] are great. I like [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] too but may like the suggestions of [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] or [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Isla[/name_f] better. I don’t like the other firsts as much. [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is too popular (in the US anyway), [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] too prissy, and I’m not a fan of the sound of [name_f]Rowena[/name_f].
[name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] – I love it. It is strong, feminine, beautiful.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] – Again, beautiful. These name combos really do a good job at comining femininity with strength. It isn’t overly frilly. One of my pet peeves is when people combine two OUT THERE names ([name_f]Calliope[/name_f] [name_f]Rainbow[/name_f]). Not that [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is out there.
[name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] – I love this.
I haven’t found middle names I love for these:
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] - love! Maybe [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] [name_u]Spencer[/name_u], [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] [name_f]Mab[/name_f]? I’m terrible at combos (as my signature would indicate).
[name_f]Primrose[/name_f] - Not my taste but very pretty.
[name_f]Rowena[/name_f] - I adore this name.
[name_f]TIA[/name_f]! - Not a fan but pretty. Best as a nickname.
[name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is beautiful! [name_f]Fern[/name_f] is one of my favorite names thanks to the classic [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]'s web. Idk if I could actually use it.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is beautiful. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] has so many nickname choices that if it’s too superfluous for her she has alternatives. [name_f]Nola[/name_f] would be my fave nn.
Someone mentioned [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and I really like that. A less common name paired with a common name is a pattern that I appreciate.
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]! [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is super charming and the nickname possibilities are great ([name_f]Maggie[/name_f], MJ, [name_f]Nola[/name_f] etc). [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] are both lovely but may be too short together, how about [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] and [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]?
