Opinions on these names?

Hello, we are expecting number three and would love opinions on these names! We have two boys named [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] and [name_u]Ryan[/name_u].

[name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] (love it)
[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] (is it too British)
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] (love it)

My first choice would be [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], followed by [name_f]Olivia[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Philippa[/name_f]! It’s unique and has potential for various nicknames. It strikes me as an intellectual name, but also feminine and sweet.

[name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] are too common for my taste, but of those three I prefer [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] in combination with your sons.

[name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] still sounds too old to me, perhaps because I know several people older than I am called [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] matches best with [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] and [name_u]Ryan[/name_u]! Congrats to you on number 3

I like [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f]!

[name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] strikes me as the best fit. It’s great with the brother names. My second choice would be [name_f]Olivia[/name_f].

I love the name [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]

  1. [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] - not too British, I think it’s a name that travels well. Possible nicknames: [name_f]Pippa[/name_f], [name_f]Pixie[/name_f], [name_f]Polly[/name_f].
  2. [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] - possible nicknames: [name_f]Sosie[/name_f], [name_f]Fifi[/name_f], Soso.
  3. [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] - I adore [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] and Tifanny, [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] mostly because of Batgirl ([name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_m]Brown[/name_m]). Possible nicknames: [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] ([name_u]LOVE[/name_u]), [name_f]Effie[/name_f], [name_u]Steph[/name_u].
  4. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] & [name_f]Emma[/name_f] - I like, not love, these names, however the nicknames… [name_f]Liv[/name_f] & [name_f]Emi[/name_f] ARE GREAT!

I love the name [name_f]Philippa[/name_f]…would you be using a nickname rather than the full name, like [name_f]Pippa[/name_f]? If so, my vote goes to [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] nn [name_f]Pippa[/name_f]…[name_u]Tyler[/name_u], [name_u]Ryan[/name_u], & [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] are a cute set [name_f]IMO[/name_f].

I prefer the two-syllable names w/[name_u]Tyler[/name_u] & [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] & think that [name_u]Tyler[/name_u], [name_u]Ryan[/name_u], & [name_f]Emma[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] are also quite nice, but [name_f]Pippa[/name_f]'s got something extra. Good luck!

Throwing my 2 cents in with [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] and [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f]. I tend to love St- names and I think [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] fits well with the sibset. I’m falling in love with it more because of [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] as a cute nickname.

[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] works pretty good, too! It doesn’t sound too British-y to me. It’s Greek. I love the NN [name_f]Pippa[/name_f], and I also love [name_f]Phillie[/name_f], [name_f]Pippi[/name_f] / [name_f]Pippy[/name_f] / [name_f]Pippie[/name_f], [name_m]Pip[/name_m], Appi, and [name_u]Flip[/name_u].

[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is the name of one of my bffs and I always associate that name with a happy, creative person. So, I definitely love it.

Edited to add:
You get more variety of nicknames using both FN and MN. So, nice combos might be:
[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] - [name_m]Pip[/name_m] Feet.
[name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] - Stoli. :stuck_out_tongue: Okay, no… that needs more thought. I’m sucking at these tonight.

[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] and [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f]!
