Hello !! I’d love to hear a rating of these names or what you like and don’t like for a girl !! Thank you
1.) [name_f]Ansley[/name_f]
2.) [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]
3.) [name_u]Everly[/name_u]
4.) [name_u]Riley[/name_u]
5.) [name_u]Briley[/name_u]
6.) [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]
7.) [name_u]Marley[/name_u]
8.) [name_f]Bindi[/name_f] (questionable but my fiancé liked it and I like it to but I’m not sure)
Hermione love this name. I knew a little [name_f]Hermione[/name_f], long ago before HP was a thing! It sounds botanical to me, like [name_u]Hyacinth[/name_u] (although I’m aware that it isn’t!), wholesome and pretty but strong-sounding.
Marley - such a soft, lovely name.
Everly - it’s great. I slightly prefer [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u].
Riley - nice on a boy and I haven’t known any female Rileys (I’m in the UK) but I thibk it would be nice.
Madelyn - objectively a great name, just a little overused for me to feel more fond of it.
Briley - I like how it sounds, I just don’t find it exciting.
Bindi - cute name, with a beautiful Australian Aboriginal meaning However my first association is with its meaning as a red dot worn by some married Hindu women, so I second guess it as a name. This would soon change if I knew a [name_f]Bindi[/name_f] of course. The late [name_m]Steve[/name_m] [name_m]Irwin[/name_m]’s daughter is called [name_f]Bindi[/name_f], I think?
Ansley - I’m not a fan. Yet I love [name_f]Ensley[/name_f]?! Personal taste is a funny thing!!!
[name_f]Ansley[/name_f] - Nice name, though I think it might get mixed up with the more popular [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]. I prefer other An- names like [name_f]Annika[/name_f] or [name_f]Annora[/name_f]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] - Really pretty name! I like it a lot
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] - Nice sound, but very trendy and popular all of a sudden so I think it will feel quite dated in 10-20 years
[name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Briley[/name_u] - Same as [name_u]Everly[/name_u]. I prefer [name_u]Riley[/name_u] to [name_u]Briley[/name_u]
[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] - Pretty, though very 2000s. I think the [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] spellings are a bit more timeless
[name_u]Marley[/name_u] - Sweet and fun! Another option is [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] but both are lovely
[name_f]Bindi[/name_f] - I don’t love it. [name_f]My[/name_f] first thoughts are the word bin, as in garbage bin, and then bind, which has unpleasant connotations.
Ansley - I prefer [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] and think it would be mistaken for [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] a lot. [name_f]Ansley[/name_f] feels like its missing something for me personally but I can see the appeal.
Hermione- I can’t get away from [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] for [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] and its never been a name I really like. Its hard to pronounce to me. But I know its a beloved nsme by many.
Everly- I really love [name_u]Everly[/name_u]
Riley- I dont mind it. Im kinda neutral on [name_u]Riley[/name_u]. I have a friend with a daughter Rileigh and it works well. I prefer the [name_u]Riley[/name_u] spelling though
Briley - I like this better than [name_u]Riley[/name_u]! I would prefer [name_u]Briar[/name_u] but [name_u]Briley[/name_u] is sorta pretty
Madelyn- I like [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]. I like the [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] spelling best but enjoy all variations of the name.
Marley- love [name_u]Marley[/name_u]!!
Bindi - I cant really get on board and wonder if this could be inappropriate in some cultures? I dont know. It also sounds nick namey and cutesy like it wouldn’t age well.
Ansley - 7/10, I prefer [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] but [name_u]Lennie[/name_u] and [name_f]Annie[/name_f] are cute nicknames!
Hermione - 6/10, The name is nice but it’s too connected to [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] for me. [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] and [name_f]Nina[/name_f] are beautiful nicknames.
Everly - 10/10, I love this one! [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_u]Ever[/name_u] would make great nicknames.
Riley - 7/10, I’m not a fan of [name_u]Riley[/name_u]. It’s a nice name but just not my style.
Briley - 5/10, I prefer [name_u]Riley[/name_u] over [name_u]Briley[/name_u]. I prefer [name_f]Brynley[/name_f] or [name_f]Brynn[/name_f]!
Madelyn - 9/10, I love [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f], it has so many different nicknames and goes well with many different names!
Marley - 8/10, [name_u]Marley[/name_u] isn’t my style but it’s cute.
Bindi - 4/10, This is not my style, what about [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] or [name_f]Mindi[/name_f]?
Ansley - has a nice sound, but feels a bit too trendy for my taste!
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] - such a beautiful name. It does have an overwhelming HP association though. Would probably get a lot of “like the [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] character??” comments. If you don’t mind that though, I think the name is strong and spunky. Great nn options too! [name_u]Hero[/name_u] is my favorite. (and I think the character is a nice association to have anyway)
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] - I always wish this wasn’t such a trendy name, because I love this name. Such a pretty sound and look. There are lovely “Ev-” alternatives though!
[name_u]Riley[/name_u] - I really only like [name_u]Riley[/name_u] on a boy, sorry!
[name_u]Briley[/name_u] - I’m not a fan of the way this sounds, I’m really sorry! Maybe [name_u]Briar[/name_u] or [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] would be something you like!
[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] - soft, sweet, classic name. I personally slightly prefer [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].
[name_u]Marley[/name_u] - a very cute name! I like the sound of it, though I slightly prefer [name_u]Marlow[/name_u].
[name_f]Bindi[/name_f] - [name_f]Bindi[/name_f] [name_m]Irwin[/name_m] is a wonderful association, and I’ve always absolutely loved this name, but it feels inappropriate to use if you aren’t from certain cultures. Sorry!
Ansley- 5/10- feels trendy to me
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f]- 7/10- this is a beautiful name though I really associate with [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u]- 6/10 very pretty but feels really popular
[name_u]Riley[/name_u]- 6/10 cool and unisex
[name_u]Briley[/name_u]- 2/10 don’t like because it feels made up
[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]- 6/10 really pretty and classic feeling
[name_u]Marley[/name_u]- 7/10 super cool and pretty
