I’ve been tossing around these two combos for several weeks now, and I can’t seem to decide how I feel. [name]Both[/name] are considerations for the last two spots on my boys’ list but I can’t seem to decide if they’re worth keeping.
They would join [name]Caleb[/name], [name]Jack[/name], [name]Asher[/name], [name]Everett[/name], [name]Grayson[/name], [name]Brody[/name], [name]Spencer[/name], and [name]Bailey[/name] on my short list. Other considerations are [name]Beckett[/name] (nn [name]Beck[/name]), [name]Lincoln[/name] (maybe nn [name]Cole[/name]), [name]Avery[/name], [name]Zane[/name], [name]Boone[/name], and [name]Daniel[/name]. In the combos, [name]Oscar[/name] is for [name]Oscar[/name] Wilde, and [name]Beckett[/name] is for my sister (nn [name]Becca[/name]), and the others I just like.
I’m mostly concerned about [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name]–while I feel it has the perfect vibe I was looking for in a [name]Henry[/name] combo (and [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] is virtually nonnegotiable), I don’t especially love [name]Nicholas[/name]. I wish I could have a name that honored family, but most of those options are a bit limited. I feel like I’m just settling for [name]Nicholas[/name]–I never especially loved it even though I like it, and I just feel like there are so many other names I love more that I should be using instead of [name]Nicholas[/name]… I’ve been through so many options, though, and [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] is the only one that really feels cohesive and like it could possibly work…
I love [name]Noah[/name] [name]Beckett[/name]… not a fan of the name [name]Flynn[/name]… But it has good rhythm
I like all the components of [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] but something seems a little off for me… not sure what it is…
[name]Love[/name] the name [name]Lincoln[/name]… i would use the nn [name]Linc[/name]! From you names list what are ones you would use as FN and which as MN… maybe it would be goood to get some suggestions for your combos!
I’m not a fan of [name]Linc[/name]/[name]Link[/name], honestly–it’s just never appealed to me. I do love [name]Cole[/name], though, so even if the sound really isn’t there I think the nn could work. I also like just [name]Lincoln[/name].
I would use most of those names as FNs… I can’t really imagine using any of them as a MN (except for [name]Daniel[/name], which I can’t seem to make my mind up about). I do have some combos figured out–[name]Avery[/name] _____ [name]George[/name], [name]Boone[/name] [name]Isaiah[/name] [name]Leo[/name], [name]Beckett[/name] _____ [name]Finn[/name]… I’m tossing around [name]Lincoln[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Lincoln[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] something-or-other. I’m leaning more and more toward using [name]Daniel[/name] as a MN ([name]Brody[/name] [name]Daniel[/name] _____), but I can’t seem to give [name]Daniel[/name] as a FN up yet. I think [name]Avery[/name], [name]Henry[/name], [name]Boone[/name], and [name]Beckett[/name] are probably the highest contenders for the last two spots on my list…
I like both! I like [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] better…[name]Noah[/name] [name]Beckett[/name] [name]Flynn[/name] …[name]Beckett[/name] [name]Flynn[/name] just sounds like a phrase I can’t put my finger on. [name]Noah[/name] [name]Beckett[/name] is handsome though. With [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name], is the rhythm of [name]Henry[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] better? I think it might be, although I don’t know if separating [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Oscar[/name] is OK.
Instead of [name]Nicholas[/name]…what about…[name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Andreas[/name], [name]Henry[/name] [name]Tobias[/name] [name]Oscar[/name], [name]Henry[/name] [name]Thaddeus[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] (initials HOT seem weird), [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Matthias[/name]…or [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] Nicanor (but a lot of -r…), [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Cole[/name], [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Nicolo[/name], [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Nico[/name]…
[name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] - Something seems off with the flow here. It might sound better as [name]Henry[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] [name]Oscar[/name]. I love [name]Henry[/name] with [name]Nicholas[/name] but I am not feeling [name]Oscar[/name] here, but since you said it was non-negotiable I would use something other than [name]Nicholas[/name] for the 2nd MN. Maybe [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Lincoln[/name]?
[name]Noah[/name] [name]Beckett[/name] [name]Flynn[/name] - I love this one!!! The flow is perfect and it sounds so quirky and cute but still handsome at the same time I think this actually might be one of my favorites, if not my total favorite, of all your combos. [name]Just[/name] perfect [name]IMO[/name]
@jesba - [name]Henry[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] is probably better but I am quite partial to [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Oscar[/name] together! I might consider [name]Henry[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] [name]Oscar[/name]. After I posted this it just hit me that [name]Nicholas[/name] (St. [name]Nick[/name]) could be a nice nod to my sister, whose name also starts with an “N” and is quite [name]Christmas[/name] themed… so it’s taken on a new layer of meaning even though there are other names in general that I like more than [name]Nicholas[/name]. I had also tossed around [name]Henry[/name] [name]Jameson[/name] [name]Oscar[/name], [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Elliot[/name], and [name]Henry[/name] [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Oscar[/name]/[name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Caspian[/name]–I think I still prefer [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] to them all even though I vastly prefer [name]Jameson[/name], [name]Elliot[/name], and [name]Caspian[/name] in general… Hmm.
@dillonsfan01 - [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Lincoln[/name] doesn’t really help. haha. I’m trying to stray from using 3 2-syllable names in a row, especially since my ln is two syllables, too. [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Lincoln[/name] [name]Richards[/name] is just blahhh even though I love all three names separately! I suppose I could give up [name]Oscar[/name] for the perfect combo… I’ve been thinking about [name]Henry[/name] [name]Eben[/name] lately, but I don’t know if I would use that over [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name]. I do like that [name]Eben[/name] has a slight [name]Christmas[/name] theme to go with [name]Tallie[/name]'s name–what with [name]Eben[/name] being short for [name]Ebenezer[/name]…
@ynnig - Thanks for your feedback! I agree–[name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] just makes me smile. I love the literary connections and the way the two names work together, but yeah, blah on the [name]Nicholas[/name] part. [name]Beckett[/name] and [name]Lincoln[/name] don’t really work because of the two syllable thing, but I had considered [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Flynn[/name]. It just didn’t wow me in the end, and I have this thing about having more than one “Y” in a combo… [name]Do[/name] you have any [name]Christmas[/name]-themed MN suggestions that aren’t 2 syllables? I just realized that could work to honor my sister. I thought maybe something like [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] which I like but I don’t love the heavy “C” and “G” sounds so close together. Maybe a bit hard to say?
