I have a very wide variety for my names, some are common in some aren’t in the top 1000. At the moment I wanna know y’all’s thoughts on some more uncommon ones.
I really love these girl’s names:
[name_f]Constance[/name_f]: reminds me of the stars & moons
[name_f]Verity[/name_f]: Means truth
[name_f]Amity[/name_f]: [name_f]Kinda[/name_f] Divergentish but means friendship
[name_u]Navy[/name_u]/ie: Sounds badass but can be girly and if you think of the color and not the United States [name_u]Navy[/name_u] then it could be useable.
[name_u]Texas[/name_u]: [name_u]Read[/name_u] it in a book, “With The Band” by [name_f]Natasha[/name_f] [name_m]Preston[/name_m]. & people name their kids [name_u]Dakota[/name_u] and Montanta, right?
[name_u]Waverly[/name_u]: [name_f]Kinda[/name_f] like [name_f]Beverly[/name_f]
Ezrie: Feminine version of [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]
I like [name_f]Constance[/name_f], [name_u]Waverly[/name_u], and [name_u]Navy[/name_u] the best. I’m not a fan of virtue or place names generally, so that’s why I don’t like the others.
I like [name_f]Constance[/name_f], [name_f]Amity[/name_f], and [name_u]Waverly[/name_u]. [name_f]Verity[/name_f] is okay.
I really don’t like [name_u]Texas[/name_u], [name_u]Navy[/name_u] or Ezrie. I think [name_u]Navy[/name_u] would be okay if the US [name_u]Navy[/name_u] had a different name, but it’s just so notable that I can’t get past the association. It also makes me think of Old [name_u]Navy[/name_u].
I really like Verity. I think it’s definitely more popular here in Britain than it is in the US. I don’t mind Constance and I might like Amity if only it didn’t remind me of the Amityville Horror. The others don’t appeal me for whatever reason.
I really want to like [name_f]Constance[/name_f], but seriously dislike the nn [name_u]Connie[/name_u], so much so it puts me off [name_f]Constance[/name_f].
[name_f]Constance[/name_f] is quite old fashioned in my mind so I’m not too keen. I also struggle with [name_u]Navy[/name_u] because of the military connection but I love colour names so totally get the appeal.
I personally like [name_f]Waverly[/name_f] the best! It sounds quite prim and posh on the one hand and then beachy and more laid back on the other.
I’d agree [name_f]Verity[/name_f] isn’t as unusual in [name_m]Britain[/name_m] but not an overused name by any means.
I think most of these are wearable. I know a [name_f]Constance[/name_f] and a [name_f]Verity[/name_f]. Ezrie might get a little confusion because it isn’t well-known, but it’s not a complicated name. The only one I feel is a little odd is [name_u]Texas[/name_u]–technically it’s unisex but I imagine it on a boy–the nickname [name_m]Tex[/name_m] screams male to me.
I like [name_f]Amity[/name_f], [name_u]Waverly[/name_u] and [name_u]Navy[/name_u]
I’m neutral about [name_f]Verity[/name_f] and [name_u]Texas[/name_u] but I strongly dislike [name_f]Constance[/name_f], it sounds really old fashioned and like a disney villain name to me
I’m not a fan of [name_f]Constance[/name_f]. I’m also not a fan of place names, so I don’t like [name_u]Texas[/name_u]. [name_f]Amity[/name_f] reminds me of Amityville Horror. I like [name_f]Verity[/name_f] and [name_u]Navy[/name_u], but I’d be worried about the latter being associated with the actual navy. I’m not sure how to feel about [name_u]Waverly[/name_u]. It just makes me think of the TV show Wizards of [name_u]Waverly[/name_u] Place. I’d like Ezrie if it was spelled like [name_u]Ezri[/name_u], since that’s the name of a pretty cool character
Not a huge fan of [name_f]Constance[/name_f]. I feel that if that were my name I wouldn’t like it, it sounds really old fashioned but not in a trendy way like [name_f]Elenore[/name_f], [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] or [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. There’s something about it that sounds like a prude/virginal…I almost prefer the name [name_f]Chastity[/name_f] because then you can be the rebel girl who doesn’t fit your name at all, whereas [name_f]Constance[/name_f] sounds like the kind of girl who will have trouble finding dates for prom. Maybe I just am basing all this one some fictional character I possibly came across in a novel at one time, it has a nice sound to it, I just don’t love it.
I think it’s a good list! [name_f]Constance[/name_f], [name_f]Verity[/name_f], [name_u]Navy[/name_u], and Ezrie are my favorites. [name_m]Ive[/name_m] heard of 2 girls named [name_u]Navy[/name_u], like the color and I think it’s really cute. Yiu could also spell it Navie
