What do you think of the name [name_m]Wells[/name_m]?
Its a family surname that I’ve always found appealing. I’ve seen the name showing up in blogs/announcements recently. Since it seems like it may be becoming (slightly) more mainstream I’d appreciate hearing people’s opinions and impressions.

It’s a nice name, but I can’t really see it on elderly people. Also I can’t not think of, well, wells. It’s nothing teasable, but definitely pops up in my mind whenever I hear it.
With that being said, it’s definitely usable, it’s easy to spell and pronounce, and the family connection is nice. If you really love, then I say go for it!
I quite like it. I think it fits in well with all the semi-preppy surnames that are becoming so popular. I can easily see [name_m]Wells[/name_m] sharing a classroom with [name_m]Hayes[/name_m], [name_m]Brooks[/name_m], [name_u]Hunter[/name_u], etc.
I like it, especially with the family connection. I definitely think it’s useable and as others have said it would fit in perfectly with the slightly preppy surname names that are popular at the moment. It would also make a great middle name.
