Opinions please on my baby name!

I want to name our daughter [name]Nora[/name] but I am a little worried about it becoming overly popular over the next few years. Too bad I can’t see into the future! I was researching the name and found that it actually was originally a nn for [name]Norabel[/name] which i have never heard before. The full name would be [name]Norabel[/name] [name]Therese[/name] and we would mostly call her [name]Nora[/name]. That way if it does get too popular maybe she will choose to go by [name]Norabel[/name] when she’s older. What are your thoughts on that as a full name? Too much of a mouthful or pretty?

I think it’s really pretty. I’d never heard it either.

[name]Norabel[/name] is pretty! I’ve never heard it, either, but I’m a sucker for -belle names. I like the Norabelle spelling more, but I think Norabelle [name]Therese[/name] looks a bit much. [name]Norabel[/name] [name]Therese[/name], nn [name]Nora[/name], is really cute!

[name]Norabel[/name] is so cute, but I honestly would just use [name]Nora[/name].

[name]Eleanor[/name]/[name]Elenor[/name], [name]Lenore[/name] or [name]Eleanora[/name] are some other alternatives which could all have [name]Nora[/name] as a nickname if you wanted them.

[name]Norabel[/name] sounds like a nickname to me… Like a pet name you’d call someone named [name]Nora[/name]. Maybe I’m making no sense, I don’t know. I like [name]Eleanor[/name] nn [name]Nora[/name] as pp said. But I’d just use [name]Nora[/name]

[name]Norah[/name] spelling appeals to me the most.

I like the idea of [name]Norabel[/name] being the original form of [name]Nora[/name], but I think it sounds kind of made up. I have no room to talk since I have an [name]Emmeline[/name] and people totally think I made that up
It’s cute. Go for it!

With this one you could get “Adorable [name]Norabel[/name]” but you’ll have to decide whether you think it’s cute or annoying. Honestly I don’t think [name]Nora[/name] is going to become such a high ranking name that you should feel it necessary to distinguish it with the -bel, and also I think it’s more likely for a small child to use the bel and then drop it as an adult. But there’s really nothing “wrong” with [name]Norabel[/name] either if you love it.

[name]Norabel[/name] is way cute. I like [name]Nora[/name] as a nn for it.

I much prefer [name]Norabel[/name], or even Norabelle, to just [name]Nora[/name]. I also like the suggestion of [name]Nora[/name] being a nn for Eleonor or [name]Eleonora[/name].

[name]Norabel[/name] (or Norabelle) is adorable! I really like it and it just went on my list seeing you post it. I think it’s a great idea
