Girls:
[name]Tempest[/name] - Okay… a name with a similar sound that I like is [name]Temperance[/name]. The meaning is a lot different, I know, but I think sound wise they are similar, and [name]Temperance[/name] is just more appealing to me than [name]Tempest[/name].
[name]Melody[/name] - This sounds very 80s to me, so if that is something you find appealing… but it’s just meh for me.
Avabelle - [name]Ava[/name] is alright, [name]Belle[/name] is pretty. Together? Eh. Sounds a little silly to me.
[name]Elizabelle[/name] - This one is worse than Avabelle. I do not like it at all.
[name]Ava[/name] - Cute, a little overused.
[name]London[/name] - I want to like this name. And sometimes I do if it is the right combination.
[name]Briar[/name] - Pretty, I like it, but I’m just not sure it is wearable.
[name]Peyton[/name] - Meh. Okayish, I suppose. Not my favorite.
[name]Arianna[/name]/[name]Adrianna[/name] - Prefer [name]Adrianna[/name] of the two, but both are pretty and feminine.
[name]Zara[/name] - I find this one really interesting and unique. Like [name]Sara[/name] with a twist.
[name]Tarra[/name] - Another one that feels so 80s to me.
[name]Lara[/name] - Okay.
[name]Layla[/name] - I don’t like this spelling. [name]Leila[/name] is pretty.
Boys:
[name]Cohen[/name] - [name]Don[/name]'t care for this as a first name
[name]Jai[/name] - Are you pronouncing this like [name]Jay[/name]? Not a fan of this spelling.
[name]Seamus[/name] - [name]Love[/name], just love.
[name]Jett[/name] - I’m not sure about this as a given name, but it would make a cute nickname - not sure for what though, haha.
[name]Damien[/name]/[name]Damon[/name] - [name]Don[/name]'t care for [name]Damien[/name], but love [name]Damon[/name].
[name]Tye[/name] - This looks either made up or like a nickname for [name]Tyler[/name].
[name]Chandler[/name] - Haha, at first I seriously thought this said Chandelier and I was like, “What?!?!” But [name]Chandler[/name], okay. Reminds me of Friends and robot jewelry named after said [name]Friend[/name]. A good association all around, but definitely not a name that would ever be on my radar. [name]Just[/name] not my style.
Remmington/[name]Remington[/name] - All I keep thinking is [name]Remington[/name] [name]Steele[/name]. I’ve never even seen the show - I’m pretty sure it went off the air around the time I was born - but that is all I think of when I see this name.
[name]Favorite[/name] girls: [name]Briar[/name], [name]Adrianna[/name], [name]Zara[/name]
[name]Favorite[/name] boys: [name]Seamus[/name], [name]Jett[/name], [name]Damon[/name]
Edit: I just read through the other posts - I like to wait until after I give my opinions so my views aren’t tainted. A couple things, not that I like Cohen, and I understand it is a Jewish name, but why would it’s use be offensive? I’m not trying to be rude, I’m just really curious how it is any different than using names like Emerson, Carter, etc. I feel like I’m missing something!
Second thing - okay, so Demon is spelled similar to Damon. Sure. But the name Damian is Greek for “to tame or subdue” and the mythological Damon risked his own life to let his best friend, Pythias, have time to settle his affairs before he was sentenced to death. Damon and Pythias are said to symbolize what true trust and loyalty are. So I think these are great reasons to love the names beyond the superficial “It looks like demon.” Bah. But that is just my opinion, of course. And I am a literary/history nerd so those kind of things really matter to me.
