Opinions Please!

Okay so I’ve really been thinking about names that I am considering for my second baby.
We don’t know the sex of the baby. And we intend to wait until the baby is born.

My number one boys name was [name]Declan[/name] [name]James[/name]. However, my best friends sister just had her baby and she named him [name]Declan[/name] [name]Oliver[/name]. So I don’t want to name my son [name]Declan[/name] anymore.

I know that [name]James[/name] is super common, but I still love it so much. I also decided that I won’t be naming my son (if I have one), [name]Landon[/name] or [name]Xander[/name].

What do you think about this? I like [name]James[/name] as a first name and as a middle name.
Please suggest more boy names that you think I will like.

Now on to the girl names.

[name]Alice[/name] has been my number one name since I got pregnant with my second. However since I discovered the name [name]January[/name], I haven’t been in love with [name]Alice[/name] as I was before.

I get it, [name]Alice[/name] appeals to most people because it’s a “classic” name. But [name]January[/name] just sounds so fresh and spunky to me.
I’m not sure what I’m going to do.

Please let me know what you!

I think [name]January[/name] is a silly name for a baby especially since I see you are due in [name]January[/name]! I think it’s better off as a month than as a name. [name]Alice[/name] is nice and timeless. [name]Don[/name]'t think you could go wrong there. I really like [name]James[/name] as first name! Again, so classic & timeless.

Boys:
[name]James[/name] [name]Gaelan[/name] would be nice and a little offbeat.
Otherwise I like: [name]Christoph[/name], [name]Harlow[/name], [name]Korbin[/name] or [name]Avery[/name]

Girls:
I think I just fell in love with [name]January[/name] [name]Alice[/name] (esp cute as a sister for [name]Violet[/name] [name]Angelina[/name]).
I’d say mix the spunk of [name]January[/name] with the classic feel of [name]Alice[/name].

You really seem to like classic names, so [name]January[/name] may be a choice you would regret later. I personally love A names for girls.
GIRLS:
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Adelaide[/name]/[name]Adeline[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Lenora[/name]/[name]Leonora[/name]
[name]Elena[/name]
[name]Winter[/name] names
[name]Lux[/name]- light
[name]Hollis[/name]- similar to holly
[name]Bianca[/name]- means white

BOYS:
[name]James[/name]
[name]Jasper[/name]
[name]Cole[/name]
[name]Jack[/name]
[name]Emmett[/name]/[name]Emmerson[/name]
[name]Arthur[/name]
[name]Rhys[/name]

GOOD [name]LUCK[/name]!

I think [name]Alice[/name] goes better with [name]Violet[/name]. However, I think that [name]January[/name] is very pretty and I don’t think it sounds silly at all. Everyone will hear it differently though.

You can’t go wrong with [name]James[/name].

[name]Desmond[/name] came to mind as another name you might like.

I personally love [name]January[/name].

I also love [name]January[/name] and agree that [name]January[/name] [name]Alice[/name] is a show-stopper of a name.

[name]James[/name] is also a favourite of mine and [name]Jimmy[/name] is gorgeous nn.

I think you should go with [name]Declan[/name] if you love it and your heart is set on it. Same thing with [name]January[/name]. If you love it more than [name]Alice[/name], then use it. Why should you use a name just because it’s more of a classic than your alternative choice? What about using [name]January[/name] [name]Alice[/name] or even [name]Alice[/name] [name]January[/name]? That way you have options.

However, here are some alternative names for a baby boy:
