Opinions Please!

Not currently pregnant. However, we have been TTC for 2+ years and are still back an forth on names! This might be a long post, so I apologize in advance. Our 4 year old DD is [name_f]Claire[/name_f].

Middle name is set. It’s a family name, [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]. I’m not overly concerned with first/middle name flow.

Here are some names that are on our list now. I’m not 100% on any of them. While I genuinely like all of them, each one seems to have something about it that I don’t like. I’m also not overly concerned with popularity, however we do not want her to be 1 of 5 in her class.

[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]- the “scar” part of this kinda bugs me.
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]- I feel like this has the potential to be the next [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]/[name_f]Emma[/name_f]/[name_f]Sophia[/name_f].
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]- same feelings as [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]- It’s okay. I admitting like the meaning of this name more than the name itself.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]- I like the sound of this. [name_m]Just[/name_m] don’t really know how well it “goes” with [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]- I read a comment somewhere that violet made the individual think of the word violent. Now idk if I can really love it.
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]- I like this, but I worry it’s too trendy sounding.
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]- No real issues, but I just feel kind of meh about it.
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]- Too trendy? I feel like I hear [name_f]Addie[/name_f] a lot.
[name_u]Everly[/name_u]- I love the sound of this one, but I know it’s about as trendy as it gets. Also, not sure how well it goes with [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]- same feelings as [name_u]Everly[/name_u].
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u]- My DH is sort of neutral on this one. I like it, but again… Too trendy?

So I guess my question is, which (if any) of these do you prefer? Or what names would you suggest?

I like [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] as a first name better than any of the other’s on your list.

Name suggestions:
[name_f]Monica[/name_f]
[name_f]Valerie[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Susan[/name_f]
[name_f]Hedy[/name_f]
[name_f]Terra[/name_f]

I feel like [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] was very popular in the 2000’s like [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Hannah[/name_f], etc. [name_m]Just[/name_m] kind of boring to me. The only reason we are using it as a middle name is after my grandmother, who has been an extremely special person to both of us.

Thanks for the suggestion, none are really my style. :frowning:

I am really digging [name_f]Isla[/name_f] lately and I think it is just fine with [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
(This is coming from someone who truly gave no thought to whether my kids names went together at all, and they most likely don’t) lol

I think [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] is very pretty. I also really love [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f].

Suggestions:
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]

My favorites with [name_f]Claire[/name_f]…

  1. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
  2. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
  3. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]

Other suggestions…

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]

You have a fantastic list of names alexks42! My personal favourites are:
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] (you could always call her [name_f]Della[/name_f], [name_f]Ada[/name_f] or [name_f]Lina[/name_f])
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]

Some suggestions:
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] - love this!

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f] over [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and it goes with [name_f]Claire[/name_f] nicely.

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Nina[/name_f] - something more spunky than [name_f]Nora[/name_f] maybe?

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f] - like [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_u]Everly[/name_u], but fantastic with [name_f]Claire[/name_f]

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] - this is darling!

The percentage of the population with the top 10 names have decreased over the past decades so a girl born in 2010s with a name in the top 10 is more likely to be one of five in her year rather than in her class.

I like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f].

[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] - I don’t like how it sounds with [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. The “carl” part bugs me.
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] - I like how it sounds with [name_f]Claire[/name_f], but [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] sounds a bit like a character in a children’s story. There could possible be more than one in her class. I like [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] better, but I say it with a [name_m]French[/name_m] accent.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - I don’t like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] as sisters because of the “charl” part.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is now in the Top 10 I believe, so it won’t sound original. I do like it with [name_f]Claire[/name_f], though.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] - I think it goes [name_f]Claire[/name_f] alright, but it’s a bit of a flimsy name considering the strength of [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - the “violent” association shouldn’t bother you if you love the flower. But if you don’t love the flower and you just like the sound and style of the word, then seeing “violent” compromises that and I’d forget it.
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] - it’s trendy sounding. Especially with [name_f]Claire[/name_f], a classic name.
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] - I think it’s too soft and shy to go with [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] - all the [name_f]Addie[/name_f] names are too trendy and get on my nerves.
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] - I don’t like it at all because it reminds me of the [name_u]Everly[/name_u] Brothers and of [name_f]Beverly[/name_f] (although [name_f]Beverly[/name_f] is a fine name).
[name_f]Aria[/name_f] - if you add [name_f]Aria[/name_f] and [name_u]Arya[/name_u] on the charts, this is the fastest rising name in [name_u]North[/name_u] [name_u]America[/name_u] since [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f], and the fastest rising name in the world.
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] - I like it, but yes, it’s very trendy. Doesn’t seem as worldly as [name_f]Claire[/name_f].

[name_f]Honor[/name_f]
[name_f]Laurel[/name_f]
[name_f]Amy[/name_f] - I think it’s more stylish than [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and it has a nicer meaning than [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. It was popular a few decades ago but it’s also a vintage name that was often used in turn of the century classic literature… for good girls.
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Lacey[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] as sister names because they sound so cheerful. [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] sounds both classic and modern, like [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f] - Has just a hint of [name_m]French[/name_m], like [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. [name_f]Aggie[/name_f] is a refreshing alternative to [name_f]Addie[/name_f].
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] - [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] is lovely, too.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] - I love the name [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] and I also love [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] as sister names.
[name_f]Frances[/name_f] - I like the nn [name_f]Francie[/name_f]!
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Rachel[/name_f] - I know it seems a bit dated if you don’t care about its Biblical history, but I like how [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] both sound like kind people.
[name_f]Audra[/name_f] - just a variation on [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] that I think is underused.

My Top 3 are [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_u]Everly[/name_u] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. You might be worried about things not sounding good with [name_f]Claire[/name_f] because none of these are 1 syllable like [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. But, with [name_u]Everly[/name_u] or [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] you get the nickname [name_f]Eve[/name_f], which sounds good with [name_f]Claire[/name_f].

My Suggestions:
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_u]Brooke[/name_u]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_u]Dove[/name_u]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Faith[/name_f]

My favourite of your choices is [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] doesn’t really make me think of violent, but it does make me think of all the literary heroines to have it as a name (ie [name_f]Violet[/name_f] Beauregarde). [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is my second favourite because I love the nickname [name_u]Ever[/name_u].

Some more suggestions:

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Pippa[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Adele[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] or [name_f]Nora[/name_f] the best with [name_f]Claire[/name_f].

My favorites that go with [name_f]Claire[/name_f] are:

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]

Suggestions: (sorry for any repeats)
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] - kind of like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], but not as popular, I think
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Elaina[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Maya[/name_f]/[name_f]Maia[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] - this one might be too matchy
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] is such a classic name. I would continue using classics regarding your second name choice.

[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] ~ I think this name is really pretty and has a gorgeous southern belle vibe. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] has lovely connotations with ‘Gone with the Wind’ and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] sounds like a good sister name for [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. Yes she has the ‘scar’ sound but I don’t think of it has an issue it’s not over pronounced.
Suggestion: [name_f]Susannah[/name_f], [name_f]Colette[/name_f], [name_f]Serena[/name_f]

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] ~ This name is pretty and even though for me popularity isn’t an issue if I love a name no matter how popular I will continue to use the name. However in the UK [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is so popular that for me it’s just becoming over done which probably means I don’t 100% love it because if I did as I’ve previously stated it wouldn’t matter.
Suggestions: [name_f]Emiliana[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f]

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] ~ For me this is a classic name, it’s always going to be popular, it’s like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I don’t think you can judge this name via popularity. My only concern is that this name also begins with a ‘C’ just like your daughter [name_f]Claire[/name_f]'s name and therefore creates a ‘c’ beginning sibling set and could be limiting regarding future children.
Suggestions: [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]

[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] ~ This name is so pretty. She’s wholesome and elegant. I like the range of gorgeous nicknames with [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] such as [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], and maybe the more modern choice [name_u]Ever[/name_u]? I think [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] & [name_f]Claire[/name_f] sound like a beautiful sibling set.
Suggestion: [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Evelina[/name_f]

[name_f]Isla[/name_f] ~ [name_f]Isla[/name_f] is pretty. She’s a fashionable name with a cool sound. But I agree with you she doesn’t work with [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. Stylistically the names clash.
Suggestions: [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Julia[/name_f]

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] ~ Again this name is really pretty. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is an attractive floral name and I think [name_f]Violet[/name_f] sounds stunning with [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_f]Claire[/name_f] have a lovely sound a great sibling set. Yes I agree you can hear violent but at the same time I would over look this similarly with [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f].
Suggestion: [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], [name_f]Viola[/name_f]

[name_u]Piper[/name_u] - I am not keen on this name for me this name is way to trendy for a sister named [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
Suggestion: [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Naomi[/name_f], [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] ~ I am really not a fan of [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is unattractive but I do understand why people like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] I can see the appeal but it’s not a favourite.
Suggestion: [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Leonora[/name_f], [name_f]Leona[/name_f]

[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] ~ I think this name is really elegant. Yes this name is popular and has that trendy ‘[name_f]Addie[/name_f]’ sound but at the same time she doesn’t feel so trendy and completely works with [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
Suggestions: [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], [name_f]Adelina[/name_f]

[name_u]Everly[/name_u] ~ I love this name! But for me it’s trendy and the polar opposite of understated [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] which is your other ‘eve’ name works far better.
Suggestions: [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Annalise[/name_f]

[name_f]Aria[/name_f] ~ Please see [name_u]Everly[/name_u] I have the exactly the same opinion on the name.
Suggestions: [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f]

[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] ~ It’s a surname name [name_m]WAY[/name_m] to trendy for [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. Again they are polar opposites. I think surname choices like [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_u]Addison[/name_u] will not work for you.
Suggestions: [name_f]Laura[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Anais[/name_f]

: )

I love [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], and [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. I do prefer the spelling [name_f]Norah[/name_f], though.

I agree with your feelings on the popularity of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. I hear them a lot.

I’m not gonna critique each one individually. I love them all 10/10. My favorites are all of them but [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_u]Hadley[/name_u]. . My least favorites are [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_u]Hadley[/name_u].

If your concern about popularity is that she will be one of five in her class, then you can name her anything you want no matter how popular because it pretty much won’t happen. If the school has several classes per grade there might be as many as five per grade. But the thing is, it’s unlikely that it would even be a name from the top ten. From the many mothers I’ve heard talk about it, at most you might have by some random chance three [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sofia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] in the class, or two [name_f]Julianna[/name_f]/[name_f]Juliana[/name_f], or two girls named [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. Basically the national name ratings won’t really help you figure out what will be the most popular names in the classroom will be. The top name is only given to 1.0729% of baby girls. So according to statistics you’d get 1 [name_f]Emma[/name_f] per grade pretty much, but of course name distribution isn’t even so you’ll find name trends clumping in neighborhoods. So honestly, you shouldn’t give popularity so much weight.

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] is a classic name, all the names on your list are trendy except for [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. There is nothing wrong with trendy, but trendy names tend to date more than classic names. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is really popular now but it’s never dropped below #307 in popularity so I think it will weather it’s popularity pretty well. It’s actually very similar to [name_f]Claire[/name_f] in terms of popularity. If you are happy with your daughter’s name than I think you would be happy with any of these three names as well, [name_f]Claire[/name_f] itself is pretty popular.

I personally think a classic name would go better stylistically with [name_f]Claire[/name_f], but that’s not something that is important to everyone. I think [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] would be good stylistic matches.

[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] is a lovely name but I think [name_f]Ada[/name_f] is a better style match and has the benefit of being not as popular. Some other names I think would work well for you are: [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Greta[/name_f], [name_f]Leah[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f].

In the end though, I think you do have a nice list of names and that you should go for the name that you like best and that feels right for your daughter, even if it is trendy or popular.

[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]'s cute but the AA thing might not work so well. how about:

[name_f]Jasmine[/name_f]
[name_u]Parker[/name_u]
[name_u]Lindsay[/name_u]
[name_f]Bella[/name_f]
[name_f]Isobella[/name_f]
[name_f]Minnie[/name_f]
[name_f]Carlie[/name_f]
[name_f]Nyla[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Laurel[/name_f]
[name_f]Bailee[/name_f]

Are you my twin? I was having a feeling of deja vue reading this because we have been trying for a similar amount of time and my husband’s top choice is [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and I really like [name_f]Abigail[/name_f].

I am an [name_f]Emma[/name_f] born in the late 1980s in Australia when the name reached it’s peak here. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] starting rising shortly thereafter so I can’t help thinking that where you are (I’m assuming US) [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] will also rise in popularity because of the similar feel with [name_f]Emma[/name_f] which is peaking in the US. However, if you love it I would use it.

At this stage I looked up [name_f]Claire[/name_f] of the social security list and found that it is now ranked #44 and it would have been about #50 when your daughter was born. I guess you are after something traditional and not obscure but also not trendy. Something more steady over time and probably in the top 200?

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]- in 2000 it was #207 and in 2014 it was #15 SS popularity chart. You are right, this is rising quickly. That wouldn’t be terrible if you loved it but I don’t think you do. Would you consider [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]? It’s only #667 in 2014 and it’s gorgeous!

As someone else pointed out to me this week, [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] rhyme but [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] certainly has the harsher sound. Have you considered other names with a similar ending, [name_f]Colette[/name_f] or [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]?
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] has endless possibilities- [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Eveline[/name_f] but let’s try to find a name you love with a great meaning too. I feel like [name_u]Everly[/name_u] falls in here sound wise.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] is one of my top names to go with [name_f]Claire[/name_f] so to me it goes well.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]- I wouldn’t be worried about the violent connection unless your last name is [name_u]Lee[/name_u]/[name_u]Leigh[/name_u] and then it sound like violently. It’s a beautiful flower name. Have you considered [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] or [name_f]Lily[/name_f]?
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]- If you like it you should consider it. Other names with a similar sound might be [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_u]Marley[/name_u], [name_f]Harlow[/name_f].
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]- If you like the sound why not [name_f]Cora[/name_f] or take it back a step to [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]?
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]- [name_f]Adele[/name_f], [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Aveline[/name_f], [name_f]Ada[/name_f]. The [name_f]Addie[/name_f]'s you here of are probably Addisons.
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u]- It sounds trendy in the same way [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] and [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] are but it’s old school. [name_u]Hadley[/name_u]'s pedigree includes [name_m]Hemingway[/name_m]'s first wife and the rank in 2014 was #99.

Since you and I seem to have similar likes and dislikes I thought I’d list some that we are considering:
[name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], [name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Freya[/name_f], [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Diana[/name_f], [name_f]Mariah[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Louise[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f], [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Leah[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Maeve[/name_f].

In my ear, the syllable [name_f]Claire[/name_f] carries out a bit (like it’s not like a sharp, short sound like [name_f]Dot[/name_f]), so a corresponding name doesn’t have to be just one syllable. Stylistically, at least to me [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is classic, but not in the way that [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], etc., are…[name_f]Claire[/name_f] is more unique. Some of the previously mentioned options sound lovely w/[name_f]Claire[/name_f]:

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Honor[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Laurel[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
