Opinions/Rate and Suggestions

Please help!
I am having a hindrance on the Rate the Previous Signature thread and as I have started TTC as of 2 weeks ago so I thought I would ask here instead. I am a planner so I am starting now.
I did an overhaul of my names a few months back to find names with meaning and names I would be attached to. About half of them are honor or have meaning and and you can [u]find the meanings here[/u] but I also want the names to flow and be right for a human. I live on the Australian east coast and the last name is K3nn3dy, if that makes a difference.

What are your thoughts/ opinions /vibe from the names? (Is it trendy, modern or classic/ does it age well/ what kind of person do you picture?)

Want to leave suggestions?
I have trouble with finding the right boys names
I seem to love C/K/E/A/L names
I love the one syllable or short syllable name at the end
[name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to check the links to other favourites in my signature to give suggestions on combos (the words Girls and boys are links)
The bolded names are names I am in love with (as in singularly not in the combo)
I want use as many honor names in the above link as possible as that is how become ‘close’ to a name, it needs to mean something to me OR have a good meaning or sound
The Italics are combos I really love.

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] “[name_f]Lily[/name_f]” [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]: Cute! I really like [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] / [name_f]Lily[/name_f] & [name_u]June[/name_u]! [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] isn’t my style, but it flows well with the combo. I do have a hard time picturing this on an adult, but considering how popular [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is at the moment, I don’t think I’ll have that problem much longer.
[name_f]Elara[/name_f] / [name_f]Clara[/name_f] “[name_f]Elle[/name_f] / [name_f]Lari[/name_f]” [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]: I prefer [name_f]Clara[/name_f] to [name_f]Elara[/name_f], as I’m never completely sure how to pronounce the latter. However, I prefer [name_f]Elle[/name_f] to [name_f]Lari[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] isn’t my style, but it flows well with the combo.
[name_f]Indira[/name_f] “[name_f]Indie[/name_f]” [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]: None of the names are my style, but [name_f]Indie[/name_f] is a cute nickname. I would prefer [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] “[name_f]Lula[/name_f]” [name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], but I don’t like how [name_f]Indira[/name_f] & [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] both end in ‘a” back to back. [name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]? [name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]? [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]? [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]?
[name_f]Romia[/name_f] “[name_f]Mia[/name_f]” [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]: I don’t care for [name_f]Romia[/name_f] or [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], but I like [name_f]Claire[/name_f]! I also like [name_f]Mia[/name_f] as a nickname. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] & [name_f]Claire[/name_f] are both a little ‘r’ heavy, especially when back to back. [name_f]Romia[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]?
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] “[name_u]Rey[/name_u]” [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]: I’m normally not a fan of [name_f]Freya[/name_f], but I really like this combo. Beautiful flow!
[name_f]Athena[/name_f] “[name_f]Thea[/name_f]” [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]: I love the nickname [name_f]Thea[/name_f]! [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] are both lovely names, but both have a prominent ‘u’ sound, which disrupts the flow. [name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]? [name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_u]River[/name_u]? [name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]?

[name_f]Maia[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] / [name_f]Maia[/name_f] [name_f]Viveca[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]: I prefer [name_f]Maia[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], because [name_f]Maia[/name_f] &[name_f]Viveca[/name_f] both end in ‘a’. I like the name individually, but [name_f]Maia[/name_f] & [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] both contain a long ‘I’ sound, which disrupts the flow a bit. [name_f]Maia[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Edith[/name_f]?
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] “[name_f]Elle[/name_f]” [name_f]Maia[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]: Cute! [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] has been growing on me lately! [name_f]Maia[/name_f] & [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] don’t flow very well back to back because of the repeating long ‘I’ sound. [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Maia[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]? [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Callista[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]?
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] “[name_f]Lulu[/name_f]” [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]: I love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], but I have a hard time picturing her on an adult (which is why I have relegated her to the middle name on my own list). I know it’s been done many times; it’s just hard for me to see. I prefer [name_f]Margot[/name_f] to [name_f]Margaux[/name_f], and [name_u]Skye[/name_u] isn’t my style. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]?
[name_f]Audriana[/name_f] “[name_f]Ana[/name_f] / [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]” [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]: I would really just prefer [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] (although the flow is a little off). [name_f]Audriana[/name_f] is too frilly for my personal taste. I’m neutral on [name_u]Eden[/name_u], and I love [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]! [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]? [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]?
[name_f]Reverie[/name_f] “[name_f]Evie[/name_f]” [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]: Not a fan of [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] as a first name…it’s too much of a word for me. I do think it makes a spunky middle name. [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] always reminds of gazelles, which isn’t a bad association. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a standard middle, but I think it’s a little hissy in this combo with [name_f]Giselle[/name_f]. [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]? [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u]?

[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] “Co / [name_f]Ro[/name_f]” [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]: I love this combo! Probably my favorite on your entire list. [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] normally isn’t my style, but it’s wonderful with [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] & [name_u]James[/name_u].
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] “[name_u]Lee[/name_u]” [name_m]Walter[/name_m] [name_m]Heath[/name_m]: I love this combo, as well. All of the names are great, both individually & together. [name_m]Leo[/name_m] & [name_m]Heath[/name_m] share a lot of the same sounds, which disrupts the flow a bit, but I still like this combo. [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Walter[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]?
[name_m]Asher[/name_m] “[name_u]Ash[/name_u]” [name_m]Evander[/name_m] [name_m]Jove[/name_m]: [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_m]Evander[/name_m] doesn’t flow extremely well, since they both end in ‘er’, but I like the names individually. [name_m]Jove[/name_m] is a great second middle name! [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Jove[/name_m]?
[name_u]Emmett[/name_u] / [name_u]Everett[/name_u] “Ev / [name_m]Rhett[/name_m]” [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] [name_m]Keir[/name_m]: I prefer [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] in this combo because it makes it less ‘r’ heavy with [name_m]Keir[/name_m]. However, individually, I love both [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] & [name_u]Everett[/name_u] equally. I love [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] in this combo!
[name_m]Alaric[/name_m] “[name_m]Al[/name_m] / [name_m]Lars[/name_m]” [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] [name_m]Joel[/name_m]: [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] is intriguing! I really like it. However, with [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] & [name_m]Joel[/name_m] (which I love!), there are a lot of ‘l’ sounds close together. [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Joel[/name_m]? [name_u]Corben[/name_u] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] [name_m]Joel[/name_m]?
[name_m]Xander[/name_m] “Zand” [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_u]Bryce[/name_u]: I don’t care for [name_m]Xander[/name_m] or [name_u]Bryce[/name_u], but I like [name_m]Malachi[/name_m]. [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_u]Bryce[/name_u] doesn’t flow very well because of repeating long ‘I’ sounds. [name_m]Xander[/name_m] [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]? [name_m]Xander[/name_m] [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_u]Bryce[/name_u]?
[name_m]Silas[/name_m] “[name_u]Si[/name_u]” [name_m]Benoit[/name_m] [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] / [name_m]Silas[/name_m] “[name_u]Si[/name_u]” [name_u]Kiernan[/name_u] [name_m]Hugh[/name_m]: I prefer [name_m]Benoit[/name_m] because I think it’s an awesome name, but both flow well. I really like [name_m]Silas[/name_m] & [name_m]Hugh[/name_m]!!

Thank You!!

I had the same feeling of not picturing [name_f]Lily[/name_f] on an adult until I saw a YouTuber with the name [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and the show [name_m]How[/name_m] I Met Your Mother.
[name_f]Lari[/name_f] is prn Lar-ree if that helps?
I have had [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] before and I do love that combo.
I like [name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_u]River[/name_u].
I like [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Callista[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]. I do love [name_f]Maia[/name_f] so will have to work on a combo for that.
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is the tough one sometimes I like the combo sometimes I scratch it completely.
I like [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Joel[/name_m] O.o Why did I not think of this?
[name_m]Xander[/name_m] [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] is cool!

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] that helped!!

Thanks most of those names are too Nicknamey/Modern/Trendy. I prefer a long first name then a 2-4 syllable middle name and a one or short syllable name. Short syllable like [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], [name_f]Ione[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosa[/name_f].
And I dislike having all 3 names be one syllable.
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m] [name_m]Benoit[/name_m] [name_m]Heath[/name_m] - This is okay, But I think I prefer [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] as a middle name.

I actually wrote a long reply to your other post but I accidentally hit the backwards key and NB’s restore function didn’t work for me, so I’m happy to reply here

Terms I might throw around:
Timeless - self-explanatory, I think - can stand the test of time, will not feel dated, familiar but not necessarily a class (e.g. [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] / [name_f]Lucy[/name_f])
Classic - a name that has stood the test of time and has been used a lot throught the decades (e.g. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] / [name_m]George[/name_m])
Ageless - a name that I can perfectly imagine on a person of any age, more so, I would not be able to determine the age of the person just by looking at the name (e.g. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] / [name_u]Michael[/name_u] // the opposite would be names such as [name_u]Kayden[/name_u] or [name_f]Brylee[/name_f])
On-Trend - “normal” names that are being (re)-discovered currently and are relatively popular / fit in a group of popular names / also unisex names (e.g. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] / [name_m]Henry[/name_m])
Trendy - unique and creative names, made-up names, boys names on girls (e.g Braxten / Zylie)
Unisex - describing names that don’t necessarily sound very feminine/masculine to me ([name_u]Marlow[/name_u] / [name_u]Hayden[/name_u])

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] - NN [name_f]Lily[/name_f] - [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] feels on-trend ([name_f]Lil[/name_f]-name family), it feels timeless and while it’s easier to picture on a young child, it’s also ageless; [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] feels very unisex, [name_u]June[/name_u] is sweet - I imagine a blonde, pigtailed little girl with blue eyes, sitting on the beach building sandcastles; she’s a modern child, loves to wear colourful maxi dresses and is a very bubbly little girl

[name_f]Elara[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] - NN [name_f]Elle[/name_f] / [name_f]Lari[/name_f] - [name_f]Elara[/name_f] feels trendy (not the bad kind, just the “familiar but slightly different” type) but also on-trend ([name_f]EL[/name_f]- name), [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] give it a modern vibe; [name_f]Elara[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] has dark blonde hair, also blue eyes, she’s calmer than [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]; [name_f]Elara[/name_f] is a difficult name for me, there isn’t really any imagery I get from it.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] - [name_f]Clara[/name_f] feels on-trend (the vintage “[name_f]Violet[/name_f]” kind) though definitely timeless, ageless and very sophisticated; adding [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] gives it a bit more of a modern vibe; I see a brown-haired little girl with green or brown eyes, reading on the porch overlooking the beach and the weaves; she’s of calmer nature but she’s also very curious so she asks a thousand questions a day

[name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] - NN [name_f]Indi[/name_f] (Or would [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] NN [name_f]Lula[/name_f] be better?) - [name_f]Indira[/name_f] feels very exotic, I’d say it pretty ageless and due to non-usage also very timeless, I picture a child with dark hair, dark eyes and tan skin wearing rich purples and teals, it very much reminds me of [name_f]India[/name_f] so this is absolutely where that imagery stems from; usually the middle names change the imagery slightly but in this case the [name_f]India[/name_f] association is very strong

I do think [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_u]Quin[/name_u] feels a bit more English and also a bit quirkier; [name_f]Indira[/name_f] makes [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] interesting and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] adds an extra amount of quirk; I can imagine it on all ages, it just has a more current vibe than, say, [name_f]Clara[/name_f].
I imagine a child similar to [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], though one more active; [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] loves bike-riding, surfing, skateboarding, playing football, collecting stones and shells on the beach, reading about them at home and writing about them in her journal like a real scientist; [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]'s always up to something and usually it results in a lot of fun and laughter for the whole family

I’ll come back and do the rest tomorrow after having thought about them for a while (as neither really evokes any imagery currently :))

Thank you Opheliaflora! They are similar imagery to my own!

Any more opinions/rates would be great!

Any more opinions/rates would be great!

I actually like all of your combos, which doesn’t help to narrow things down!

I’m partial to [name_f]Lily[/name_f] (naturally) but not a fan of [name_u]June[/name_u], so I would prefer [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] nn. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] (it’s modern, classy, and feminine all around).

I prefer [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Elara[/name_f].

Not loving [name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] (but I do like the nickname [name_f]Indi[/name_f]). I would like [name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] more (it still keeps the exotic vibe without the double-a endings).

[name_f]Romia[/name_f] I don’t love. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is lovely on its own.

I love [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and [name_u]Meredith[/name_u], but not [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. [name_f]Eve[/name_f] feels very plain to me. I would love [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] [name_f]Athena[/name_f]–much more exotic and spunky.

[name_f]Maia[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u] (no nickname necessary) and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Callista[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are lovely. I love the nickname [name_f]Elle[/name_f].

[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] (nn. [name_f]Evie[/name_f] uses both of the longer versions that would get you there, but I think [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] just doesn’t fit the style of your other names as much as I do like it).

I’m not a fan of [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] or [name_u]Eden[/name_u], but I do like [name_f]Lula[/name_f] or [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]. [name_f]Audriana[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Mila[/name_f] (or something exotic and fun like that).

For the boys:

[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] NN Co or [name_f]Ro[/name_f] (not feeling the nicknames, but I do like the combo)
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Walter[/name_m] [name_m]Heath[/name_m] - NN [name_u]Lee[/name_u] (I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and don’t feel it needs a nickname)
[name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] [name_m]Jove[/name_m] - NN [name_u]Ash[/name_u]
[name_u]Emmett[/name_u]/[name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] [name_m]Keir[/name_m] - NN ? / Ev or [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] (this one is definitely not my style)
[name_m]Evander[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Joel[/name_m] - NN [name_m]Al[/name_m] or [name_m]Lars[/name_m] (like the combo, not the nickname here. I think nn. [name_u]Van[/name_u] works better)
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] [name_u]Bryce[/name_u] - NN Zand (this nickname is confusing)
[name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_m]Benoit[/name_m] [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] / [name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_u]Kiernan[/name_u] [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] - NN [name_u]Si[/name_u] (don’t care for this one)

ETA
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Lorcan[/name_m] [name_u]Seth[/name_u] (I would prefer [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Benoit[/name_m] [name_m]Lorcan[/name_m] or [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Lorcan[/name_m])

I hope I didn’t butcher your names! Overall I liked them, we just don’t always have the same style.

I changed some of the boys names around and forgot to change the NNs O.o
So [name_m]Evander[/name_m] nn [name_u]Van[/name_u] and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] nn [name_u]Kai[/name_u]

Thank you

Anyone else?
