I love them all for different reasons! [name]Liev[/name], Sorin and [name]Xavier[/name] are all old-fashioned and strong sounding but they also seem to have a soft side to them. [name]Aurelius[/name] is just cool and interesting! Teifryn is practically unheard of which is cool, but it has almsot a classic sound to it. Some might think Zealand is a bit of a stretch, but I love it! I like place names, but most of them are so overused! I’ve never heard of a Zealand, and it sounds awesome! His nickname could be [name]Zea[/name], which I love too!
I’m on the fence about Zealand, I do not hate it, but I’m not sure if I like it either. To be fair though, I’ve never been a fan of place names so I’m a bit biased. As far as place names go however, I will say that I think you took an interesting turn to it. I’ve never seen this named used either! So good job on that point.
I hate Teifryn, and [name]Kade[/name]. I just don’t like the sound. I am okay with [name]Liev[/name]/[name]Lief[/name] as a name. I like [name]Xavier[/name] but it’s a bit popular these days, which isn’t necessarily a deterrent.
My absolute favorites are Sorin (although I spell it [name]Soren[/name]) and [name]Aurelius[/name]! I just adore those names. The only downside to [name]Soren[/name] for me is that it means “Strict and stern” but even that isn’t a big deal. There isn’t a thing I don’t like about [name]Aurelius[/name].
I’m a lover of out there boy names, so your list is right up my alley! <3
Kade - This one is actually a bit too trendy for me!
Aurelius - You’ll have pronunciation issues, just like every other awesome boy’s name. But it has a very strong look to it.
Xavier - Again, soooo trendy where I live. Xavier, Xander, Xayden, Zavier, Zander, and Zayden. I see these names constantly.
Liev - Hmm, I’m not sure on this one.
Sorin - I love Soren. In a similar vein, I like Torrin and Tallon as well. Saroyan and Sinclair might also have a similar feel for you.
Teifryn - Not a fan of this, sorry.
Zealand - LOVE! My favorite on your list after Sorin/Soren. Newlyn might be something similar to Zealand in style/
[name]Kade[/name] - I like the sound, but it seems too… I dunno…
[name]Aurelius[/name] - I like the meaning of it, but I’m not a fan of the look or sound.
[name]Xavier[/name] - I like it.
[name]Liev[/name] - It’s alright, nms.
Sorin - I like the nature-y names! [name]Just[/name] watch out of the sore begining. My name is [name]Eros[/name], and the fact that it’s sore backwards bugs me, though not enough that I would have changed it.
Teifryn - I’m not sure how to pronounce, which is new for me… Is it ty-frin? I think it’s cool, not amazing, but cool.
Zealand - I [name]LOVE[/name] this! It has great context and nice sound and look. Plus [name]Zea[/name] is adorable!
[name]How[/name] do you like:
[name]Shade[/name]/Shayde
[name]Sorrel[/name]
[name]Sander[/name]/[name]Xander[/name]
[name]Sanderson[/name]
Wow. [name]Every[/name] one of those started with S haha
[name]Kade[/name]: I really like this one. It was on my list for my first son, but i nixed it because of nn [name]Katy[/name]. In my other baby name book, the meaning is wetlands, which I really liked.
[name]Aurelius[/name]: Not bad, but I am really not a big fan of the [name]Roman[/name] names. I think it could be cute if you find the right nn.
[name]Xavier[/name]: I have never liked [name]Xavier[/name]. Can’t say why for sure, but same goes for [name]Xander[/name]/zander.
[name]Liev[/name]: I kinda like this one. [name]Do[/name] you pronounce it Leev?
Sorin: I really like this name too, but I would also spell it [name]Soren[/name]. It looks more open and soft that way.
Teifryn: I kinda like it in a nerdy, fantasy lover kind of way Not sure how it is pronounced though and he would probably always have issues with spelling and pronunciation. There is Taliesen that is similar, but a bit more well known.
Zealand: I love this one! [name]Kinda[/name] like [name]Leland[/name], only cooler I am a bit biased though because I met and started dating my husband during a study abroad program in Australia and New Zealand. Plus I love nature names and Zealand reminds me of the beautiful places I saw while I was there. It is definitely different for a boy, but it is familiar enough that people would generally know how to spell and pronounce it.
[name]Kade[/name] – I dislike this one because it seems sort of trendy, but I’m not sure that’s what I’m not liking.
[name]Aurelius[/name] – [name]Love[/name] this one. Out there but great!
[name]Xavier[/name] – [name]Love[/name] this one too! I have a little soft spot in my heart for this one.
[name]Liev[/name] – nms
Sorin – [name]Love[/name] this one but prefer the spelling [name]Soren[/name].
Teifryn – not sure about pronunciation, nms
Zealand – interesting, but not my favorite. I think it would be neat on someone else’s kid though
Now that I know how to pronounce it I really like Teifryn. I like [name]Soren[/name] (spelled this way) but love [name]Loren[/name], has a similar sound and not seen often. [name]Love[/name] the suggestion [name]Sorrel[/name]. [name]Xavier[/name] has always been one of my favorite names. I could see Zealand growing on me.
