I really love these classic names! [name]James[/name] [name]Richard[/name] is strong and handsome. [name]Maria[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is not just classic but also sounds updated. I applaud your choices!
[name]James[/name] [name]Richard[/name] is very classy. Although I like the idea, [name]Maria[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is a little repetitive to me. If you want to use [name]Maria[/name], what about [name]Maria[/name] [name]Fay[/name], [name]Maria[/name] [name]Blythe[/name], [name]Maria[/name] [name]Jane[/name] [name]Maria[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name], etc. instead? Or what about using [name]Mae[/name] as the fn? Maybe [name]Mae[/name] [name]Harriet[/name], [name]Mae[/name] [name]Lucinda[/name], [name]Mae[/name] [name]Susannah[/name], etc.?
Thanks for your advice davisellu, yet both names ([name]Maria[/name] and [name]Mae[/name]) are family names that is why we choose to use them that way!
Since the mn is barely ever used I don’t think it will sound repetitive as much.
[name]James[/name] [name]Richard[/name] is very strong and classic. I also very much like the sound of [name]Maria[/name] [name]Mae[/name], but I have to agree with davisellu. I have a feeling what she may have meant was that [name]Maria[/name] and [name]Mae[/name] are both forms of [name]Mary[/name], typically accepted to mean “bitter”. So it’s a bit like naming your child [name]Mary[/name] [name]Mary[/name] or [name]Maria[/name] [name]Mary[/name]. However, [name]Mae[/name] can also be used as a diminutive of [name]Margaret[/name], meaning “pearl”. I vote for [name]Maria[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]

Yet we will be sticking with [name]Maria[/name] [name]Mae[/name] - maria came from [name]Marie[/name] my sisters middle name and [name]Mae[/name] is a family middle name.
