I think I have (finally) come to a decision on my favorites for my baby names list. I have picked two girl and two boy names that I love. All of the names have some sort of family ties. I would like some input and opinions on the names. [name_f]Do[/name_f] they all compliment each other? Which are your favorite/least favorite and why? Thanks!
I think they are lovely and the do complement each other very well.
I like [name_f]Lena[/name_f] and [name_m]Anton[/name_m] as my favorites (but fair warning [name_f]Lena[/name_f] has numerous pronunciations - Leh-na or [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-na or [name_m]Lay[/name_m]-na… may threads have addressed this issue)
[name_m]Lowell[/name_m] is nice, it just isn’t my cup of tea.
I’ve never heard the name [name_f]Alma[/name_f] before.
I really like them all except [name_m]Lowell[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. I’d prefer [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Lowell[/name_m]. I think they all sound nice together. If I had to choose one of each, I think I’d choose [name_f]Alma[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_m]Anton[/name_m] [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u].
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Alma[/name_f]. [name_f]Alma[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Alma[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] would be great. I like [name_f]Lena[/name_f] too (I think most ppl would say lee-na), although [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] slightly less as a combo.
[name_m]Anton[/name_m] [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] is great. I agree with pp’s about [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Lowell[/name_m] being better than [name_m]Lowell[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. Or maybe [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] [name_m]Lowell[/name_m]?
I love [name_f]Alma[/name_f], [name_f]Lena[/name_f] and [name_m]Anton[/name_m]. I have a bad association for the name [name_m]Lowell[/name_m] so it’s my least favourite of the four. [name_f]Alma[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] reminds me of the film “[name_f]Thelma[/name_f] and [name_f]Louise[/name_f]” so I think [name_f]Alma[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] would be better. [name_m]Anton[/name_m] [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] looks better to my eyes than [name_m]Anton[/name_m] [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u].
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] - Pretty.
[name_f]Alma[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] - Never could warm much to [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. (I hear the the word “wheeze”). But I would love to meet a baby [name_f]Alma[/name_f]. This was what they named the baby in a children’s series I liked when I was little, called “In Grandma’s Attic.” Anyway, I agree w/ pp, I prefer [name_f]Alma[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]!
[name_m]Lowell[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] - Okay, but [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Lowell[/name_m] sounds a little better.
[name_m]Anton[/name_m] [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] - Nice combination. I love the name [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u], prefer spelling [name_u]Laurence[/name_u]. But would you be saying [name_m]Anton[/name_m]-rhymes-with-Scranton or [name_m]AnTAWN[/name_m]? Suggest: [name_u]Alden[/name_u].
Thanks everyone! I didn’t even notice that [name_f]Alma[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] was like [name_f]Thelma[/name_f] and [name_f]Louise[/name_f]! Also, in regards to [name_m]Lowell[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Lowell[/name_m] I am kind of hesitant to use [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. It is pretty popular. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it is too popular? Also, what does everyone think about [name_f]Eva[/name_f]? It would be pronounced EE-VA. It was my great grandma’s name. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think people will mispronounce it and mistake it for the more popular [name_f]Ava[/name_f]? I have changed some middle names around. The first brackets are names I would like to use as first names. The second are middle names. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] could go either way. Are there any other combinations that people like?
