Here is a list I comprised of boy names that kind of peak my interest. I have a much easier time with girls.
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] ( sully)
[name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
Augustas
[name_u]Reid[/name_u]
I had asked about names to match big sister [name_f]Romilly[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] any of these names not work with [name_f]Romilly[/name_f]?
[name_m]How[/name_m] would you rank think 1-5, 1 being best and so on.
I adore [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and love [name_u]Reid[/name_u] (and [name_u]August[/name_u]). The others I feel neutral about. [name_m]Favorite[/name_m] to least favorite would be; [name_u]Everett[/name_u], [name_u]Reid[/name_u], [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u], [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m], and Augustas. I prefer the [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] spelling to Augustas. My favorites with [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] would be; [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], and [name_m]Augustus[/name_m].
The order of my favourite to least favourite:
[name_u]Reid[/name_u]
[name_m]Augustus[/name_m]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]
[name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]
I adore the name [name_u]Reid[/name_u], and I love [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] as well, though I do think all your names suit [name_f]Romilly[/name_f]
I like them all, they’re all on my list and names that have been my favorite of all time at one point, most any!!
My favorite by far is [name_u]Everett[/name_u], but I savor that for a girl name only It’s also a family name of mine, so I absolutely despise the sudden popularity of it.
Then it is [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] and then [name_m]Augustus[/name_m]. I think they all sound nice with [name_f]Romilly[/name_f].
[name_m]Augustus[/name_m] Is my favourite but I love [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] Also I think they all go with [name_f]Romilly[/name_f].
I like all of these names too. My order of preference is
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_m]Augustus[/name_m] (not sure if the a was a typo, but I’m going with the standard spelling)
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] - “[name_u]Sully[/name_u]” is a wee bit matchy with [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] - could be a cute tie though
[name_u]Reid[/name_u] - don’t love the with [name_f]Romilly[/name_f]
[name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] - I like this style a lot with [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] but not that they have the same -aw- vowel sound.
With [name_f]Romilly[/name_f], I like the styles of [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] the best. So [name_u]Everett[/name_u] wins my vote!
I really like your choices. Great names. But I seem to remember you were asking for a name that goes well with [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] but also is at the same level of popularity? I think you’ll need to strike off [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and [name_u]Reid[/name_u], maybe even [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] due to [name_u]August[/name_u]. They’re not Top 100 but they’re climbing fast and way more heard. I really like [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]. Short, simply, stylish. I also have a soft spot for [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] as it’s my BFF’s little boy ([name_u]Sully[/name_u].) What do you call [name_f]Romilly[/name_f]? Is it [name_u]Romy[/name_u] or [name_f]Ro[/name_f] or [name_f]Milly[/name_f]? [name_u]Sully[/name_u] and [name_f]Milly[/name_f] are a bit matchy. [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] and [name_u]Romy[/name_u] are a bit matchy. But neither are deal-breakers.
I put them in order of preference:
[name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] Okay!
[name_u]Reid[/name_u] - Okay!
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] - Okay!
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] - [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t Like!
[name_m]Augustus[/name_m] - Hate!
I think with [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] sound best!
[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] is a gorgeous name by the way.
We call her [name_m]Rommy[/name_m] ( like a cd Rom, not Roam). She is almost 3 and so far every seems to say [name_m]Rommy[/name_m] instantly, so it’s sticking.
Thanks for the help, I have been watching the name lists for my area and for sure sew a rise in [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. I still adore it though.
Boys are so tough.
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] ( sully)
[name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
Augustas
[name_u]Reid[/name_u]
You seem to like last names as first names! I quite like [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] but it was my mom’s ex-husband’s last name so that’s a no go for me. [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] with the nickname [name_u]Sully[/name_u] is handsome but it still sounds too last namey for me. [name_u]Reid[/name_u] is nice but I don’t like the idea of [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] & [name_u]Read[/name_u].
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] and [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] are my favourite from your list and I actually think they fit best with [name_f]Romilly[/name_f].
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_u]Gus[/name_u]? [name_m]Rommy[/name_m] and [name_u]Gus[/name_u] sound cute together. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought re: [name_m]Augustus[/name_m].
Funny how relative names are, I havent.known anyone with those names as last names ( besides the actor [name_m]Vince[/name_m] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]) so I would never think of last name when hearing them but it’s all about ppl’s experiences .
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] - Not my favorite, but I could like it as a middle name
[name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] - Easily my favorite! I adore [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m], it’s so fresh and underused.
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] - Lost it’s appeal to me due to popularity, but a handsome name nevertheless. I prefer [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] though
Augustas - [name_m]Just[/name_m] looks misspelled to me. I think [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] is a nice name, but I don’t like this variation
[name_u]Reid[/name_u] - My second favorite, though I prefer the [name_u]Reed[/name_u] spelling. I think it’s a handsome choice!
My favorites are [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] and [name_u]Reid[/name_u], but from your list I think [name_u]Everett[/name_u] fits better with [name_f]Romilly[/name_f]. I also think [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] and [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] sound great!
