Opionons please!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m],

I have new favourites I need opinions on. Any other suggestions would be awesome too!

[name_m]Naylor[/name_m] = I like this as it’s a subtle occupation name. It also sounds lovely (at least in my head). Also I pronounce this name Nay - lor rather than Nail her which I’ve seen from a few people.
[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] = Same as above. I actually like [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] (she was a cool lady when you research her) so I don’t mind the relation.
Bayan = This means “Honest person” which is a cool meaning I like. It’s also exactly my style for a girl.
[name_f]Locklyn[/name_f] = I really like [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]'s meaning “from the fjord field” but I’m not a huge fan of the spelling so this works perfectly. It also means it’s now pronounced like it sounds (albeit a I)
[name_u]Alcott[/name_u] = [For a girl btw] I love how quaint it sounds but also is strong.
[name_f]Mairwen[/name_f] = I love how beautiful this sounds. It’s pronounce [name_f]Mare[/name_f] wen btw.
[name_f]Iona[/name_f] = I like this name a lot my only trouble is that there is a school in my country named [name_f]Iona[/name_f] and it’s not that far. What do you think?
Ambelin = A new name I found tonight. I love the sound of it. It’s pronounced Am beh lin btw.
[name_u]Loren[/name_u] = I prefer it for a boy but I love the mental image. It brings up the image of a happy kid but also of a old kind man - the kind who would like trains which is adorable to me.
[name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] = I know I know [name_f]Miley[/name_f] [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] but I love how strong this sounds without being overly macho like [name_m]Stone[/name_m] or [name_m]Jett[/name_m].
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] = I’ve known some gorgeous Harriets. It’s very spunky.
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] = [Again for a girl] I love the sound but also the meaning “brave boar” is really cool.
[name_f]Isabetta[/name_f] = Whilst I’m not wild about the meaning I really love the sound.
[name_f]Fawn[/name_f] = Very beautiful and ages pretty well. A sweet little girl , a spunky bright teen and a sweet old lady.

If you can help me that would be brilliant!

[name_m]Naylor[/name_m] - really not nice, feels like you wanted [name_u]Sailor[/name_u] but wanted a N name

[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] - “I actually like [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] (she was a cool lady when you research her)” I feel like I need to go and pour bleach on myself after reading that. No no and no.

Bayan - no, [name_u]Bay[/name_u] is fine the additional an doesn’t look right

[name_f]Locklyn[/name_f] - looks ugly. [name_m]Lochlann[/name_m]/[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] is lovely on a boy but it isn’t said like [name_f]Locklyn[/name_f] anyway

[name_u]Alcott[/name_u] - not my style but I can see the appeal

[name_f]Mairwen[/name_f] - lovely. However not said like [name_f]Mare[/name_f]. That pronunciation makes it not nice

[name_f]Iona[/name_f] - nice I wouldn’t be put off by the school

Ambelin - isn’t there an author with the name? I’m not sure what I think tbh

[name_u]Loren[/name_u] - I like it. I also like [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] on a boy

[name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] - it is okay, not going to set the world alight but nice enough

[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] - lovely
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] - don’t like it for a boy, hate for a girl

[name_f]Isabetta[/name_f] - seems very vowel-y. I much prefer [name_f]Elisabetta[/name_f]

[name_f]Fawn[/name_f] - I actually don’t know. Could certainly work as a middle name

[name_m]Naylor[/name_m] - Feels like you wanted [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] but needed an ‘N’
[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] - Once upon a time I liked it but then I realised what it can be shortened to and around that time guys called a lady part that…
Bayan - Feels like you added the -an to [name_u]Bay[/name_u] (which I dislike as well)
[name_f]Locklyn[/name_f] - [name_m]Lochlann[/name_m]/[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] is the better way of spelling this is too cre8!v3 for me.
[name_u]Alcott[/name_u] - Blood clot…
[name_f]Mairwen[/name_f] - looks nice, but saying it is NMS.
[name_f]Iona[/name_f] - I like this name but my partner says “I own agrh” and “I own her” so that is a put off for me.
Ambelin - I am guessing you needed a -lin ending name?
[name_u]Loren[/name_u] - I dislike this. Alot. I find [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] dated and only for girls.
[name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] - [name_u]Billy[/name_u] [name_u]Ray[/name_u] [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m]? Not a fan
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] - It is okay.
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] - For a boy, yes.
[name_f]Isabetta[/name_f] - Is that a bet? nms
[name_f]Fawn[/name_f] - Meh… I find I think of the deer straight away.

Excuse the possible harshness but the names sound to cre8ive or like you went outside or looked at a dictionary. There is one or two exceptions. But You have better in your signature and have had better, no offence.

I think you’re missing [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] and [name_m]Thayer[/name_m] I like your taste! [name_u]Unique[/name_u] yet familiar names.

[name_m]Naylor[/name_m] = I’m going to Vote no on this.

[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] = I like the name. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t know enough about her to be definitive.

Bayan = if that’s exactly your style use it.

[name_f]Locklyn[/name_f] = please don’t.

[name_u]Alcott[/name_u] = I actually love this. But for a boy.

[name_f]Mairwen[/name_f] = I believe it’s prounced my-er-wen. Beautiful though.

[name_f]Iona[/name_f] = I like it if you’re going with [name_f]Mairwen[/name_f] for a sibling. Not [name_u]Alcott[/name_u].

Ambelin = ramblin’ is what I hear. Not bad just what I hear.

[name_u]Loren[/name_u] = I know a kind man named this.

[name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] = go for it.

[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] = I only know nosy old lady named this.

[name_u]Everett[/name_u] = im not unisex name fan.

[name_f]Isabetta[/name_f] = nice with [name_f]Iona[/name_f] and Mariwen

[name_f]Fawn[/name_f] = seems out off place with the others.

I really appreciate the opinion but I need to clarify a few things =
A) [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] was actually pretty cool. I’ve done some research and she actually did some cool things (like was on a team making emulsifiers for ice cream). She was also the first British prime minster with a science degree. She did some disagreeable things (but then again so does every prime minster/president)
B) I also like [name_f]Locklyn[/name_f] because while I like [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] I would prefer it as a girls’ name but I would get absolutely destroyed if anyone saw that name on my list for a girl. To me it’s like naming a girl [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] rather than [name_u]Theo[/name_u].
