[name]Love[/name] the nn [name]Dash[/name], but neither DH or I are fond of [name]Dashiell[/name].
Thoughts on full name options? I don’t feel like [name]Dash[/name] can be a stand-alone full name (at least in our case), but I don’t want to use something that’s completely contrived, either.

I don’t care for [name]Dashiell[/name] AT ALL, but I do kind of like [name]Dash[/name] on its own. I wasn’t able to think of a good alternative “full name.”
What about an [name]Ash[/name] name with a “D” name? I would think something like [name]Dominic[/name] [name]Asher[/name], [name]Declan[/name] [name]Ash[/name], [name]Daniel[/name] [name]Ashton[/name], etc., or even [name]Ash[/name]/[name]Asher[/name]/[name]Ashton[/name] D______ could fairly easily yield the nn [name]Dash[/name]. For what it’s worth, I adore [name]Dash[/name], as well! I quite like [name]Dashiell[/name], although now that I think of it, I’m put off by several factors of [name]Dashiell[/name], as well–the conflicting pronunciations ([name]LOVE[/name] the sound of [name]DASH[/name]-uhl; but I honestly can’t stand duh-SHEEL), the fact that it really has no meaning, that it’s the name of a writer that means nothing to me personally… I like that it’s French, and I love the nn [name]Dash[/name], and how dashing [name]Dashiell[/name] has always appeared to me, but I can honestly say the idea of [name]Dominic[/name] [name]Ash[/name] nn [name]Dash[/name] is much more appealing to me than [name]Dashiell[/name] itself! Other than D_____ Ash___, I really can’t think of anything.

You could make it work with a Da first name [name]Daniel[/name], [name]Dailey[/name], [name]Damion[/name], [name]Dane[/name], [name]Dale[/name], [name]Dalton[/name], [name]Dante[/name], [name]Darby[/name], [name]Darcy[/name], [name]Darrin[/name], [name]Darius[/name], [name]Darold[/name], [name]Darryl[/name], [name]David[/name], [name]Davis[/name], [name]Dawes[/name], etc. And a middle that starts with sh- [name]Shaun[/name], [name]Shale[/name], [name]Shane[/name], [name]Shelby[/name], [name]Sheldon[/name], [name]Shepherd[/name], [name]Sherlock/name, [name]Sherwin[/name], [name]Shiloh[/name].
Some possibly good combos-

I think [name]Seamus[/name] works with the sh sound [name]David[/name] [name]Seamus[/name]?
I like [name]Darius[/name] but not with an S name.
Maybe [name]Darius[/name] with an H name for the middle spot- [name]Darius[/name] [name]Haddon[/name], [name]Darius[/name] [name]Hayes[/name], [name]Darius[/name] [name]Henry[/name], [name]Darius[/name] [name]Holden[/name].

Not sure I’m going to be successful on selling DH. We know a LO named [name]Asher[/name] already, so that doesn’t help.
This may have to be one of those “might have been” names. C’est la vie!
