Order of possible names....Input appreciated!

We are expecting a baby and are hoping for a boy (we have two girls). My husband really likes the idea of calling him, [name]Mac[/name]. MacDaniel is a family name on my side. We want to use [name]Paul[/name] [name]James[/name] as the two middle names to honor our two fathers, but because we have a common last name, I didn’t want to use [name]Paul[/name] or [name]James[/name] as the first names. So here’s my question. If we go with [name]Mac[/name] as a nickname, do you think it would work best to call him:

MacDaniel [name]Paul[/name] [name]James[/name] “[name]Mac[/name]”

OR

[name]Paul[/name] [name]James[/name] McDaniel “[name]Mac[/name]”

we also like [name]Thaddeus[/name]! in that case we would do:

[name]Thaddeus[/name] [name]Paul[/name] [name]James[/name] “[name]Thadd[/name]”

Which of the three do you like best?

I like the MacDaniel [name]Paul[/name] [name]James[/name] with the nickname “[name]Mac[/name]” the best. The other two are nice as well, but the first one really stands out to me. Good luck in choosing a name! And I absolutely adore the nickname [name]Mac[/name].

Using the names from your list, I like [name]Thaddeus[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Paul[/name] best too. Macdaniel seems a little odd as fn, so if you do use it, I would go with the [name]Paul[/name] [name]James[/name] Macdaniel order.

Yes, I agree that MacDaniel is awkward in the first name spot and [name]Thaddeus[/name] works great with your middle names. Good luck!

I also agree that MacDaniel feels strange as a FN (and reminds me way too much of McDonalds).
I think [name]Thaddeus[/name] is a phenomenal name though! [name]One[/name] of my favorites. So I’d definitely go with [name]Thaddeus[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Paul[/name].

I would honestly go with [name]James[/name] [name]Paul[/name] MacDaniel.

I know this isn’t a listed option, but what about [name]James[/name] MacDaniel [name]Paul[/name]?

I think MacDaniel is a bit odd up front, but it makes more sense to me in the second spot rather than the third if you want to call him “[name]Mac[/name]”…

I don’t really care for [name]Mac[/name]/Mc surnames as first names, so my vote goes for [name]Thaddeus[/name] [name]Paul[/name] [name]James[/name], which I think is really handsome sounding.
