I’m really liking [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] today. Does it clash with sister [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]? And does it really matter if sibling names ‘go together?’ I like [name_f]Sparrow[/name_f] as a middle, but would love other suggestions. Thanks!
I think it’s cool. The style difference isn’t too egregious, however I think the similar endings are what throws it for me. Having one kid be an “-anna” and the other an “-ana” may be odd.
[name_f]Oriana[/name_f] is gorgeous! As far as it working with sister [name_f]Susannah[/name_f], I really only noticed two things. For one, [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] feels extremely classic and even old-fashioned. [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] has a more modern feel. The second thing is what @justthinkin said: both names have very similar endings, although they are pronounced differently. That said, I do think they could work as sisters. The style difference isn’t too noticeable and I don’t really think that sibling names have to ‘go together’ in a great sense. If you really like [name_f]Oriana[/name_f], I think you should use that rather than finding a name that you don’t like nearly as much but that more matches [name_f]Susannah[/name_f].
Middles…
[name_f]Oriana[/name_f] [name_f]Sparrow[/name_f] does sound cool but, and this is probably just personal preference, I think it is often better to pair an usual name with a more recognizable name (like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], for instance).
[name_f]Oriana[/name_f] [name_f]Sparrow[/name_f] is amazing!! I really like it
I don’t think sibling names need to match but I also don’t think [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] would sound too outlandish besides [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]. While it’s less known it also has a familiarity about it.
I really enjoy [name_f]Sparrow[/name_f] and it’s natury like [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]'s middle name.
Some alternatives could be [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f], [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] [name_f]Lilac[/name_f], [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
I think [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] and [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] honestly sound quite nice together. I think having stylistic difference is fine but can be odd if too dramatic.
Like I have a son named [name_m]Archimedes[/name_m] with the nickname [name_m]Archie[/name_m]. While I could definitely use another name that isn’t from Greek antiquity and have it work fine, it would definitely be odd if I picked something like [name_m]Knox[/name_m] or [name_u]Addison[/name_u] for a sibling.
[name_f]Oriana[/name_f] [name_f]Sparrow[/name_f] sounds so cool and spunky! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it.
[name_f]Oriana[/name_f] and [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] also sound good together.
